I'm being generous in giving 4 stars, it's more like 3.5 stars. Went for dinner on a Saturday evening and sat in the back near the curtained booths. The curtains on those booths are pretty and decorated with common Japanese symbols. The service we received was fine. I tried the tuna lovers roll and the tuna was decent quality. For non-sushi eaters there's hibachi entrees and fried rice. There's a decent selection of cocktails and sake, but I didn't indulge. I imagine for this area this is probably the best sushi restaurant.

The portion is super tiny for the amount you pay for... kinda of a waste of money for the portion size. Might as well just get it closer to wherever you reside. The size is about the same as J&Y sushi. So I mean if you're not trying to overspend money on sushi just get it from J&Y or Sushi Q. I guess I'm just disappointed yes I was super hungry so the other tiny four pieces are gone, the majority of the black space was filled with white ginger slices. This meal was over $25... not even 3 rolls.

Service: great, attentive, considerate. Atmosphere: clean, quiet, relatively relaxing. Foods: overall was ok (this time), hamachi kama a bit under cooked, free appetizer too much sauce, screaming salmon needs to go light on Sriracha. Despite the improvements needed on some of the dishes, this place is still one of our favorite in this area.

Awesome sashimi and sushi option. My husband enjoys the cocktail and sake options here too.

Love the sashimi and appetizer quality here. Many options for sushi, sashimi, noodle dishes. abundant choices for cocktail and sakes too.

This place is kinda in a secluded spot but that shouldn't be a problem with how good this place is. We ordered a sushi deluxe which comes with a spicy tuna roll and nine pieces of sushi. Everything was soooo fresh. The rice wasn't mushy and it was a great rice to fish ratio. For the price, I think it well worth it for the freshness of the fish. The tempura was also amazing! It comes with a variety of vegetables and a ton of shrimp tempura. It was so crispy even after a few good minutes. We dug in right away since the smell of the tempura was so tempting. Not pictured was the miso soup that came with the tempura. If you want a good, warm miso soup, then come here. My boyfriend, who loves miso soup, chugged it down within seconds. Also! The napkins looked so pretty!! I love the bold colors and I couldn't stop raving about how much I loved them.

Another small gem in the neighborhood. We've been here twice lately and both times were great. They have a great menu with an extensive sushi selection and kids menu. If sushi isn't your thing, there is an extensive list of other options from ramen to hibachi. They have a decent sake list and the service has been great. The bathrooms are very clean! Highly recommend!

How come @yelp will only give us 5 freaking stars? How can we review this 100 star dining experience??? Come on, we don't even know how to devalue this experience to a simple 5 stars therefor we shall not!!! #SAD

I keep returning with everyone I know. Since my last review, we have tried; Sexy Jalapeno, Ninja Roll, Philly Roll (the best we ever had), Happy Roll, Avocado salad, Sushi donut, Sunset Roll, Crunch roll, Eldersburg Roll, Sweet Mango Roll, Baltimore Ravens Roll, Teriyaki Chicken, and more Ramen. We loved them all! The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the Moon Cake. The name was interesting. While it wasn't bad by any means, I just wasn't a fan of the creamy avocado sauce. Love the atmosphere, the food, the service, and the friendly employees!

There are several types of seating areas, booths are very comfy

Love this place! Excellent ambiance, food and service! At first I wasn't sure the ramen would be different than what I could make at home but it was amazing. My daughter has been several times and now I'm a fan too.

The food and ambiance were very good. Had a few drinks and the sushi was sooo fresh. Service was quick and attentive.

The lighting at our table was very yellow, so sorry if the colors look off. Maki was fresh and delicious

Really great service and delicious food. A little higher prices than my other favorite sushi place in town, but Katana has a better atmosphere for a date night. Our family had a bunch of maki and udon soup . Great addition to Eldersburg/ Sykesville. Welcome!

Everything we ate was very fresh and the service was quick! The restaurant is more spacious than it appears from the outside and can seat parties of all sizes. This is a great addition to the neighborhood!

Everything is good. Nothing is great. For the area it is really good but you can go into Columbia or Baltimore or Elliott city for better.

The inside is small but they use the space effectively and nothing feels cramped. The menu is small but everything we got was delicious. The service was great, very welcoming and informative. We'll definitely be back. We ordered the special menu appetizer watermelon, I don't remember the name and Onigiri. I ordered the Mazemen and my partner got the special spicy shrimp ramen. The pink drink is the Open Kimono, the gochujang isn't overbearing but has a subtle flavor that really bright everything together. The Toki Monster had a piece of pork belly for the garnish and my partner also ordered the special mystery saki. He said it was unlike any other sake he's ever tasted in the best possible way. The only downside was that he forgot to ask again what it was called.

Mostly because the ramens came with pork or vegan broth and no poultry or fish broth options. Stalking their insta I saw a chicken broth tantanmen that looked delish. So here we were. We were promptly sat, service was quick and fast. My chicken tantanmen was delicious. The numbing sichuan chili oil with the crispy karaage, paired with a nutty miso broth was just perfect for an overcast day. My bf also thoroughly enjoyed his vegan mushroom ramen and appreciated the cook on the mushrooms as it wasn't just bland and spongy. Would absolutely come back if they keep offering non pork broth options. Or at least the ability to sub broths out. Interior was also decorated very cool.

The restaurant is nicely decorated, and the service was impeccable. I had multiple servers come and check up on me and I felt like if I ever needed anything they were able to take care of it. Also, one of the servers mentioned the restaurant is peanut free in case anyone has any allergies. The poke was really delicious. I felt that the salmon was very fresh and I thought they gave very large chunks of salmon compared to other restaurants that really do skip out on the salmon portion, but this restaurant did not! The poke had cucumbers, mangoes, avocado, and scallions as well and I felt that the mango with a nice touch to add some sweetness, and it was also very fresh. The addition of the cucumber gave a nice crunchy texture that helped the dish overall. As for the sauce, I got the original non-spicy poker sauce. I didn't use too much of it because a little bit goes a long way. I recommend anyone to come and try out the poker here and I haven't tried their Ramen yet, but I do look forward to it soon.

I found Ramen Utsuke from Yelp and although it had over 4-stars, I was skeptical because I came from a town with excellent Asian restaurants so I couldn't help but be a bit judgey about the reviews. Stopped by around late 4PM and the tables were still mostly occupied. We were quickly seated in a booth and ordered a few appetizers, bentos, and ramens. We were pleasantly surprised that the food was actually pretty legit Japanese. I got the Tonkotsu Ramen Black and the broth was delicious. The noodles were well done and it had a fair amount of toppings. The pork chashu could be better (they were a little dry) but overall, it was very good in a legitimate-Asian approved way. I also got the avocado salad in onion and roasted garlic dressing and the dressing was the bomb! We use the remainder as dipping sauce for other stuff. Service was great - the staff were very professional and attentive. Definitely recommended!

The service is a hit or a miss depending on who you get, sometimes great and sometimes a bit slow. But not horrible. The food. So this is known for their ramen. I think that their ramen is solid, not amazing but good. Decent broth flavor and good chew in the noodles, I personally prefer a hotter broth, but it comes out slighter warmer than room temp (not my fav, but still good). The Chashu is usually good most of the time, tender and not too chewy, there was a few times that it was meh, but most of the time it's good! The ramen, 3.5/5 The Izakaya part. The yakitori is lacking. The chicken thigh should be the most tender and flavorful but it was so dry (how can you mess up dark meat?) and lacked depth in flavor. Chicken 1.5/5 The US Wagyu is mediocre. You can tell that it's US cause it's tough. Sometimes it's tender and great and other times it's a bit tough. Steak 3/5 The sushi. Mhm, the sushi is so expensive a bit overpriced doe what you get, and I'm not sure if it's worth it. Their special rolls are ~ $20 range, but the size of the roll is about the same as their "standard rolls" seems not worth that premium price. Usually at most sushi places their special rolls are larger in size and makes it worth paying more for. Even their standard nirgri prices are double than most places. I have gotten a variety of rolls over the years and it's honestly just okay. Good sushi, but small and super overpriced. 3/5
