DAY-OF COORDINATOR All my girl friends who've gone through the whole wedding process had urged me to, at the minimum, get a day-of coordinator because it will make my life a whole lot easier and be able to actually enjoy getting married. Initially, I only approached Kate for her MC services after reading her reviews and being impressed by her youtube clips. Then, I decided to hire her to provide day-of coordinator services since she will already know what the timeline of everything is. It makes it easier to manage when there are less vendors. To be honest, my husband and I were not too impressed by her coordinating services because she sent me an excel workbook that contained information pertaining to her previous client, and there were grammatical errors everywhere. I work in a very demanding client-service profession that involves a lot of spreadsheets and data where I have to deliver very polished and aesthetically pleasing work papers. So when I opened up this workbook, I was not impressed at all. I actually spent a good amount of time re-organizing things, color coding items, and fixing the grammatical errors. Kate also mispronounced my name during the next two meetings and also sent out a "final" timeline with my husband's name misspelled. She caught the mistake and was able to fix it immediately. All these events leading up to the wedding made me very nervous. Although Kate may have made some minor mistakes, she definitely did a FANTASTIC job executing everything on the day-of the wedding. We were very "on-point" with the timeline and the day went very smoothly. Wedding day was stress-free and my husband and I actually got to enjoy the day. EMCEE Now THIS is the reason why I hired Kate and why I ultimately gave her 5 stars. Kate is an INCREDIBLE MC and really got the party started. She is an an AMAZING singer and was able to blow us all away with her god-send vocals. She kept the crowd engaged and was hilarious. All my friends and family LOVE her and was very impressed by the whole reception. I have a good amount of friends getting married soon and they all wanted her contact. I have a feeling that we will be seeing Kate in the near future at our friends' weddings! The fact that she can speak both English and Cantonese was a win-win situation for both our older family members and younger friends. She had a number of games that she recommended and it really got the crowd wild. My biggest hope for my wedding was to get EVERYONE on the dance floor and turnt up. Kate made my dreams come true and was able to single handedly bring everyone to the dance floor - no matter how old or young you are! Everyone was grooving. Even my dad was dancing! And he is the typical stoic Asian dad that just likes to stand around and drink and shoot the shit. I felt like I was at the club with all my close family and friends with no judgement or drama or creepy people! Everyone had a GREAT time. Because of Kate, we were able to throw an amazing wedding party, and that alone makes up for everything else. I am one of the first to get married in my family, and I can say that the bar has been set pretty high. We communicated throughout the years (yes, years! 2019-2021). She's responsive and prompt. Kate was the perfect Emcee for our wedding reception (at The Villa in Westminster), which was half Cantonese-speaking and half English-speaking, which included many international guests. I hired Kate for emcee services for my wedding on 11/17/18 and we absolutely loved her energy. My guests all raved about her and thought she was amazing! Wow, Kate blew me away this past weekend at Amy and Robert's Wedding Reception. She was very smooth on the mic and engaging the entire crowd which was a mix of Chinese and Mexican backgrounds. She spoke in Cantonese, English, and even busted out some espanol! :P It was really fun to have her there and watch her in action. Let me first off by saying how eternally grateful I am towards Kate. Without her, I don't think my wedding would have went so smoothly.
