Larger menu heavy on Italian Specialties such as Breaded Steak Sandwiches, Italian Beef & Subs, Burgers, etc. I really like the Italian Subs as well as the Spicy Subs. They make their own Giardiniera and all the veggies are always very fresh! The burger is also good and comes with good fries. Lots of people rave about The Cajun Chicken too, give it a shot! There are not enough adjectives to describe the deliciousness that is the sloppy joe at this place. The meat is tender and tastes like its been simmered for hours with spices and onion. The best part is, it's not dripping with grease. But I think it's the bun that brings it all together. Fresh, soft hamburger buns with glossy tops somehow manage to hold up to a genrous serving of meat. You really have to try it to believe it. Oh. Two tender and lightly breaded chicken breasts that were a perfect golden brown. Melted mozzarella cheese, the mild peppers and a sweet marinara sauce on there famous Italian bread! I've had their potato and pasta salads and they are excellent. Today I favored their coleslaw and I was pleasantly pleased. Think mainly sandwiches and lunch foods - I love their chicken parm sandwich and their Billy Boy sandwich. The only downside is that their sides aren't the best. I love the friendly staff and the at home feeling you get when you walk in the door you can always find a spot to park in the front. The soups are so good you will be saying I should have order 2 bowls. The sandwiches are made right in front or you. And you have to try the salads. If you need party trays this is the place. The Price's are wonderful and you can even pick up a few other items at the store as well. This is a family owned place with a happy to have you feeling. I have been there three times the first time I tried a Italian sub and a soup and it was really good. The bread and the meats were fresh. The second time I tried it I had the meat loaf special and I throughly enjoyed the meal. It was filing and ok at best. Try the subs you won't be disappointed. read more

Went for lunch, this place is very busy. There was an organized chaos behind the counter, which is a sign of good food in my eyes. Had the Cajun chicken special, came with fries. The sandwich was great, chicken was tender, and the portion was big enough for two meals. Only down side I would say is the seasoning. Didn't taste very Cajun to me, and that is why I chose it. This place is a hidden gem in Bridgeport. It is located right in the midst of the neighborhood, among residential buildings, so it would be easy to miss if you're not looking for it. I love the new walk-up window they installed, since COVID-19 hit. It makes it so convenient to stop by and grab some food to go...even while out walking my dog. Oh! And I should mention that they love four legged friends...and even have free dog treats for the pups to enjoy. I never thought I would say that I have a favorite place to get an antipasta salad...because it seems like a pretty simple food item, right? As soon as you arrive you're welcomed by neighbors and the owner himself. It's a small intimate spot but it's clean and nicely decorated and it has a good atmosphere. I was in the area around lunchtime so grabbed a sandwich to go. While I've never eaten anything from there, I've always known about it and wondered if it was as good as I had heard. I went with a basic: turkey, provolone, lettuce, tomato, mild giardinera and oil dressing. This 6" sub was about $5 and was a large sandwich. I thought it was great for the value, enough meat and cheese and the bread was also soft but still had a little crisp to it. My only complaint was that it was a bit too oily, I should have said easy on the dressing. It was a delicious sandwich, much better than a Jimmy John's or Jersey Mike's (which is more expensive for less of a sandwich and I think inferior quality.). It was very quick, they were very nice, and it's an authentic place. If I still lived in the general area, I'd go back more often to try other things. read more
