I am a HUGE fan of donatos and it rivals donatos on taste and quality (and definitely on being more reasonably priced!) Their thin crust is excellent. Don't skimp on toppings and perfect sauce to topping ratio (ie not overly saucy). Good delivery ratio, and dare i say...my favorite pizza place in gahanna! I'd give Katie's 3.5 stars if I could. The thing I appreciate the most is the price. It's comparable to Donatos or Massey's, but not as overpriced. I paid $12.79 for a 2 topping 12" pizza. It would've been approximately $5-7 more at the aforementioned pizza joints. For 2 people it was enough for us to have some leftovers. The crust is thin and crispy, and the toppings are generous enough. It is on the greasy side though. I also wish it had more sauce, but it was still tasty. Next time I'll try one of their specialty pizzas. My pepperoni and black olive needed just a little extra. Solid choice- especially if you're on a budget. read more

I'm been to this establishment several times and never had an issue, I placed a order today simple pepperoni half sausage half mushroom extra light extra sauce and extra cheese. I came from Dublin Granville area to pick my pizza up. When I got home my pizza was oddly cut( which made it hard to split the pieces with my family) and my extra sauce was on the top (I didn't know to not ask for it on the top).. As I'm from out of state and was here on business. For my last night I wanted to try pizza from a local pizza shop! It was soooo good! Loaded with all of the toppings that I ordered. I ordered Katie's after reading how much people liked it online. I got a medium Hawaiian and an antipasto salad. Both were ready in less than twenty minutes and both were delicious. Pizza was hot and tasty and is some of the best Hawaiian I've ever had. So good. read more

I was a little skeptical because of the reviews but I was in Gahanna and really wanted delivery so I didn't have to go out in the rain. I think I got a new employee on the phone to take my order but ultimately the order was right and timely. We ordered a large Works. I have only lived in this area a few years and let me tell you the best pizza place ever. When we first moved in this was the only pizza place that was still open and delivering. They were fast and friendly. Even the delivery drivers were friendly. I would recommend this pizza place to anyone and everyone. The food is always fresh, hot and done accurate to how I ordered. Customer service: AWESOME! Buffalo Wings: Very tasty - we ordered the regular Buffalo wings instead of the hot. We love hot, but these were perfect. Katie's is one of your standard hole-in-the-wall pizza joints, but there are a few things that move it from a three or four star experience to a five star experience for me. First, they're pizza is the only pizza in town that the whole family can agree on. The tastes in my house run the gambit from hand tossed Papa Johns to thin crust Donatos. Katie's is a thin crust style pizza, but the crust isn't dried out or too chewy, and the sauce and toppings are really tasty and everyone just likes it. Second, Katie's is the only pizza place I've encountered that makes decent "bone-in" bbq wings. I usually hate "pizza oven wings" because they tend to be either too blubbery or dried out. I don't know how they do it, but Katie's wings are always crispy and slathered with great sauce. Third, although I use the term "hole-in-the-wall", the fact is that Katie's is a clean, family oriented, establishment. They're always nice and you feel good supporting their business. Fourth, and perhaps most importantly, they are ALWAYS consistent in their service, the food they serve, the timeliness of their deliveries, etc ... they never seem to have a bad day. Finally ... the price. They're not "cheap", but they're "inexpensive" compared to Donatos and the other pizza joints. Let me start by saying that I really wanted to like this pizza. I'm sick to death of the usuals near my house so when my husband suggested Katie's I was excited to give it a try. That said, it just wasn't my thing. The crust tasted like Donatos, and the sauce had a smokey flavor that can't usually be found outside of using smoke extract. At first I thought it tasted burnt but realized after closer inspection that it was definitely the sauce. The cheese was extra chewy and they put a lot on. For some people that'd be great, for me not so much. So if you like Donatos, Smoke Flavoring and lots of gooey cheese, give Katie's a try. If you don't, give this place a pass and go for Gahanna Pizza Plus. I doubt you'll regret it. read more

It's thin like Donato's but the comparisons stop there. It has a much better flavor. And they don't skimp on the toppings. The price is also significanly lower than Donato's. They have pretty good weekend deals, too. Some pizza is good cold, some isn't. Katie's the next day is by far one of the best cold pizzas I've had. Good pizza, good price. Not much else to say. The price is what gives this place a 5th star. I regularly order 5 pizzas when I host a poker game and it costs me less than $50, with delivery. I don't give many bad reviews. The place really has to disappoint me for me to not give them the benefit of the doubt. I had issues from the very beginning with trying to order from Katie's. They have no website, so you can't peruse...if you don't know what you want, you're just out of luck. The person that answered the phone was curt and less than helpful. They seemed irritated that I was not a regular and had questions to ask (which consisted of..."Do you offer subs?") The sub turned out just fine, a typical Italian Sub. The pizza was terrible. The crust was completely saturated with grease. My pizza loving teens each took a bite and turned their noses up at it. My boyfriend and I powered through it...only because we'd paid for it and by god we were gonna 'enjoy' it. I think I got through two squares before I threw in the towel. As for the reviews that say that this pizza blows Donato's out of the water...I just can't agree...and I HATE Donato's pizza...with a passion. In fact, that was why we were trying Katie's, to find a pizza that wasn't Donato's that we all like (I'm the only hater). I would rather have Donato's every night of the week than ever eat another pizza from Katie's. The pizza was prompt (45 minutes) but the driver wasn't very friendly, just kind of grunted at me. I gave it a 4 because it is good pizza however, if you are one who likes to spend money on good food as well as good service you may not get both here you never know what your gonna get when it comes to customer service it's 50/50 depends on who takes your order- if they are in a bad mood or too busy they tend to be cut and dry. Just ordered from Katies today for sales team here in my office. First time I ordered from them and was very pleased. We got cheese and sausage & pep pizza. a couple subs, and some salads. Pizza is definitely like donatos but would say the crust is significantly better than donatos. Subs were hot and tons of meat and toppings. Bread was very good as well. Italian salad has nice amount of veggies along with pepperoni. I called around 10:45 for 12:30 delivery and they were right on time with all the items! Fed 12 of us for less than $90 with tip. I first tried Katie's because it was so close to my grandmother's condo. I called to place a carry out order, and was turned off by the person who answered the phone. She wasn't rude per se, but she wasn't polite and seemed like she had more important things to be doing. Who knows, maybe they were short staffed and she needed to be firing pizzas, but a little kindness on the phone can go a long way. Update: in my subsequent calls to Katie's (mostly on Sunday nights), the man answering the phone has been polite and helpful. Good service! The delivery guys are always nice and have no problem finding my admittedly confusing apartment. The food is absolutely delicious. Their veggie pizza is amazing. The crust is always thin and crispy and loaded with delicious veggies. It's great hot, cold, and a day old. Their subs are also pretty good. My grandmother is vegetarian, so she orders the Italian salad without the pepperoni. All of their salads are made to order, so it's easy to make substitutions. When we travel to visit relatives in Ohio., we always order from Katies. There is something about the pepperoni that is used for Columbus pizzas, it's amazing. It's not what we get here in St. Louis. Katies uses real cheese. We love their pizza and we love their subs. read more
