    First time at this location and when I tell you how friendly the staff was they greeted us as soon as we walked in with a smile. This is starting to be my favorite pizza I love the thin crust and the crispness of the crust, love the amount of pepperoni. This location was really clean and well maintained also there are plenty of seats to eat in.

    This is 3x extra sauce for Extra money?!?!?

    I used to frequent this place but they for some reason just refuse to put any sauce on their pizza anymore. I even paid for 3X extra sauce and still got none, as you can see in attached pic. I wish this location would improve quality but I am done with them.

    My hubby, friend and I stopped her for pizza. My hubby and I had not been here in a few years. The building was nice and kept clean. We liked the easy to read lighted menu above the counter to order. We ordered their 14" supreme pizza which comes with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms and onions. Unfortunately, I have a severe mushroom allergy and need to stress that when I place an order to alert the pizza cooks that no mushroom can touch , be removed, or even have my pizza cut by a knife that was used on another pizza before mine that contains mushrooms. I had them put black olives in place of the mushrooms. In addition we got fountain drinks. The young man took my order but seemed to be annoyed when I explained my severe allergy. After about 20 minutes our amazingly tantalizing pizza arrived. It was perfect! Since Massey's use cornmeal for the crust there really isn't a crust and the sauce and veggies are all the way to the edge. The crisp and thin crust and veggies were incredible! Next time I'm back in Ohio, I will make sure to stop in and get another fantastic pizza.

    Massey's is a gem for a couple of reasons. If you love thin crust this pizza will do it for you! It isn't cracker thin, but just about as thin as you can get before reaching cracker status. Toppings are overloaded. For me, I think I'll ask for half the amount of pepperoni next time. It was double the amount- but without an additional charge. Topping lovers would LOVE Massey's. I just like an equal amount of cheese to pep. Such great quality ingredients though, and the best pepperoni I've ever had. Just slightly spicy. $13.99 for a 12" and that was 3 meals for me. Very fair prices!

    I have to say I was quite skeptical about ordering a cauliflower pizza crust .. well .. I'm not know .. WOW .. it was so good .. I can't believe it ... just recently discovered an intolerance with gluten and this is a godsend .. thank you !!

    I ordered this pizza because the hotel recommended it. It seems they don't offer hand tossed pizza, only thin. I found the pizza to not be as good as the chain pizza restaurants and in my experience, some of the smaller local pizza chains have always been better, more authentic, but today that simply wasn't so. My pizza was half cheese, half pepperoni/pineapple. I also ordered a side salad that was teeny tiny. I'll post pic if allowed in the next step. Total with tip $23.00.

    I wish we had Massey's out West. This is just the kind of chain pizza joint that's the inexpensive, yummy, everyday (well, hopefully not EVERYday), common, basic, really tasty pizza. Sober, wasted, hanging, or somewhere in lucidity in between one of those states, it's darn good. The thin, cornmeal crust... the teeny pepperonis that curl up and get dark & crispy around their circumferences, each catching extraneous processed meat grease like little saucers... the perfect ratios of sauce : cheese : toppings : crust. Yup, it's good. Just beware that they cut it like a grid, so you lose track of how much you've really eaten of the pie. Yikes!

    Despite a lot of hype about how it predates Donatos in the Columbus pizza game, Massey's is mediocre pizza. Though Massey's sticks to the Columbus-style pizza fundamentals -- cornmeal-dusted crust, provolone cheese, edge-to-edge toppings -- they stray from the local standard of square-cut pieces in favor of the more traditional pie-style cut. It doesn't serve this pizza well. What's more, the pizza has too much sauce. The one upside is the ultra-crisp crust. It's certainly enviable by other local chains who suffer from soggy crusts. With many locations in buildings that look like converted Rax restaurants -- ick -- Massey's isn't much ambiance-wise either.

I did make a 6pm reservation after reading the reviews even though it was Wednesday and we were seated on arrival. We noticed the place was starting to get packed so I do agree that making a reservation would be best or try to avoid coming here on the weekends if you have issues with waiting or being crammed in small places. From start to finish, everything was a delight. Here's what we savored: * The homemade bread and butter- simply fantastic. I was going to ask for warm bread after reading a review, but since the waitress brought it out immediately I didn't mind and honestly it didn't need to be warm because it was good as is. The butter IS a true winner. I had to pace myself because I didn't want to fill up too soon! * Apps: WARNING portions are generous enough to be meals! We couldn't believe they were appetizers when it was brought out. Crab Cake- I've eaten a lot of crab cakes and I will say no, this wasn't the best crab cake I've had in my life BUT it was definitely a really good crab cake. Especially one with no breading. It was served with a delicious lemon butter sauce. The tomatoes and green beans that also come in the salad are a nice touch and very enjoyable. * Entree- my boyfriend ordered the Chicken Marsala and he loved it! The chicken was cooked flawlessly, and the pasta was incredibly soft--possibly one of the best texture I've ever experienced. The marsala sauce was rich and flavorful. Ravioli- I opted for the spinach noodles with ricotta cheese and chose the link sausage. I also asked to have the crumbled sausage added as well (for an extra charge) because I needed to try this sausage that everyone has been talking about..... This Morettis sausage recipe does NOT disappoint. If you don't like "spice" you won't like it because it does have a kick to it, but I enjoy spicy. I will say I'm a fan of the crumbled sausage over the links though. It may be the same thing??? but I could go without the link casing. The ravioli were massive, perfectly stuffed, and absolutely delicious. Dessert: We couldn't resist not ordering and trying the dessert so we took it to go. They were offering a caramel apple cheesecake. After the food coma wore off, we enjoyed it at home, and I fell even more in love with this place. It's unlike anything I've tasted--cheesecake with apples inside is a game-changer! Every sauce and dish was outstanding, bursting with flavor and made with care. The crust was soft, chewy, and perfectly crisp, and that pizza sauce is perfection. My only complaint is they didn't have utensils available for takeout. We had a 20 minute drive home and were ready to dig in immediately, so that was a little disappointing. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Everything sounded great but my girlfriend picked the saccettini with the amatriciana sauce and I had the veal scalopini with a small side of saccettini. The meal was PERFECT! You could taste richness of the homemade saccettini stuffed with cheese. I was told that the pasta for the lasagna noodles are made on site which is used for the saccettini. The veal scallopini was so tender, I could cut it with a fork. Not too many capers, the right combination of butter, white wine and lemon. My girlfriend's amatriciana sauce (she was kind enough to give me a taste of two) had a little bit of a bite to it but not too much. It was mouth watering. We finished off the evening with a homemade cannoli which was superb. Towards the end of the evening, Dave came out into the dining room and personally greeted each table. We learned that Dave was the head chef at Monaco's Palace on Cleveland Ave many years ago. They always had wonderful food. To find this gem of a restaurant in Northeast Columbus, in a part of town where many restaurants come and go each month or year, is like finding a needle in a haystack. This quiet little Italian restaurant is tucked away in an unassuming strip mall that was incredibly popular in the 80's and 90's and has been churning out delicious homemade Italian dishes for over 20 years. We will definitely become regular patrons of this gem of a place. Thank you Dave, Chris and the other members of their staff to make a date night with my girlfriend a memorable experience.
