I had the Miso Chicken Katsu burger and it was delicious. The miso honey mustard on it with the lightness of breading on the chicken was yummy. On the side I had the 12 spice fries. The seasoning is so tasty you don't even need a sause but with the Japanese mayo the fries are even better. My husband tired the fried mashed potatoes and those were great as well. You can never go wrong with going to Katsu Burger. It's a great fusion of Japanese and American and always taste amazing. If you decided to go you should defiantly order your burger with fries. They have several seasoning and dipping sauce for their fries. My personal go to is either the nori fries or the curry fries with the spicy mayo dipping sauce to go with the Ninja burger. Additionally, I find myself usually getting their green tea milkshake which taste amazing! However, if you are looking to eat at Katsu Burger, I would go to either their Cap Hill or Georgetown location. They are at least double in size of the Bellevue location. The Bellevue seat maybe 25 people max, so if you live near by I'd suggest to order to go. read more

Eh. This review was regarding trying this place for the first time via delivery. Food was cold, and I feel with just about any fried food, just tastes like a fryer once it is cold. I would be willing to try this place again as a sit-down but was able to get a decent idea from what we ordered. Everything is fried, so if they don't change the oil you're rolling the dice on if it is good at all. I gave 3 stars because the food was different, though we asked the cheese to come off 1 burger and they took it off every sandwich. I would never recommend this place if you want a burger. But if you want a chicken sandwich or some teriyaki. This is a nice way to scratch that itch. read more

Really good place for lunch! I love their beef burgers (any burger can be substituted with any meat). My favorite would have to be the Ohayou Gozaimasu burger. Reasonable prices as well! Also got to try to Black Sesame milkshake, which tasted like an oreo milkshake at first but later you can taste the nuttiness from the sesame. This is the second Katsuburger location I've been to. The burgers are amazing and super filling. I ordered the Ohayou Gozaimasu burger. The beef katsu is very tasty and the tonkatsu sauce added a lot of flavor. Also the 12 spice fries are on point. For 2 burgers, an order of fries, and a bottle of Diet Coke, I paid 28 bucks minus tip. However, this location is very small. It is probably better for to go orders rather than sitting down. I am always down for a good burger, and I really wanted to love this place more but I ended up feeling okay about it after eating. I ordered the Tokyo Classic and shared the 12 spice fries with a friend. The burger is massive, mainly because there's such a thick layer of shredded cabbage. There was so much cabbage that I felt like I didn't really get to enjoy or fully taste the other parts of the burger, besides the bun. All the cabbage also made the burger very difficult for me to eat as it constantly seemed like the whole thing was going to fall apart. That's probably just on me to up my burger eating skills! The bun is buttery and just the right amount of crispy. The katsu didn't really make an impression on me, but I liked the Japanese mayo sauce. I thought the 12 spice fries were a bit too overpowering, but the texture was perfect and while they are on the pricier side, they give you a large quantity! I ordered the Ninja Deluxe and I have to admit that it was a bit disappointing, especially for the price. For overall, a fast food burger, it was decent/average, but I was expecting the taste of katsu and a more refined taste for the price that I paid. It mostly just tasted like a fried chicken sandwich (even though it's not chicken), something I could have gotten for less elsewhere. Great Japanese sandwich place in a mini strip mall with reasonable prices. I had the Tokyo Classic which is a tonkatsu sandwich. It had the tonkatsu, cabbage, and tonkatsu sauce, but also included red onion which added a flavorful twist to it. Also had the nori fries. Very delicious as expected, but they also have nori ranch dipping sauce which is unique. I will try making this dipping sauce at home. I will definitely come back again when in Seattle! read more

I dont think i could normally finish that much but i did that it was soo freakin awesome. The one thing about the godzilla attack is that it has many spices and jalepenos that didnt burn my mouth to ruin the flavor of the deep fried breaded burger. I must go back and try something else. The size of that supposed regular burger was immense. What is the size of their Giant burgers?? Yumm I cant wait to go back and get another. A soggy deep fried patty soaked in a menagerie of sauce is not my definition of a good time. I had half of it and just gave up. I was sick of getting gloopy and messy with little epicurean reward. I had the regular katsu burger (around $8?) and don't think I need to do it again. The fries on the other hand were AWESOME. We had the nori seasoning and honey miso dipping sauce. They were thin cut shoestring fries with just the right amount of seasoning. I would go back just for those fries. read more

My fiancé and I ordered takeout on a Thursday night over the phone. We had the Ninja Deluxe, Godzilla Attack, nori fries, croquette, and a matcha milkshake. Out of the two burgers, we both preferred the Godzilla Attack. The Ninja Deluxe was good, but I would have liked it more without the sweet tonkatsu sauce. The Godzilla Attack was LOADED with pickled jalapeños and was pretty spicy. The beef patty was cooked to medium -- I was pleasantly surprised to see pink and not a completely well done patty. The nori fries were just OK. They tasted a little bit stale and maybe they were, since we ordered about half an hour before closing. They came with two sauces -- miso honey mustard and wasabi mayo (my favorite of the two). The potato croquettes were nothing spectacular. The matcha milkshake, however, was delicious. With that said, you should probably only get take out here. The place itself is pretty small and has very limited sitting. The service is also minimal. I'm not holding it against them, it's just that I believe burgers taste best when they are fresh, and this place really isn't built for that. Pretty tasty burgers. I'm always looking for unique & different foods to try & this definitely fit the bill. I got the Tokyo classic just to get a feel for what they had to offer & it was great. Perfect amount of condiments & I appreciated the super thin slices of onion. I think I will leave off the pickle next time, it just didn't really go with the rest of the flavors. I think some picked daikon would be an awesome addition though! I got the meal with the nori fries & Japanese mayo & curry mayo dipping sauces. That curry mayo was everything! I took 1 star off bc of the prices & the lack of seating & overall pain in the ass it is to get parking in their tiny parking lot. $30 for 2 burgers, 2 fries & 2 bottled sodas & we had to take it to our car bc there was no where to sit. I would love to come back with my 2 teen boys to try sometime but the lack of seating & overall cramped feel is probably going to be a deterrent for me. read more

I've heard of the original Katsu Burger in Georgetown over in Seattle, but it was always out of the way to go find so at last, I've had the opportunity to try it out here. The employee that greeted me was very pleasant, I told her to surprise me with whatever burger and fries. I forgot what burger I got, but she gave me the 12 spice fries and shit, it was the shit. Congratulations, Katsu Burger won the best fries in Thao's made up book of honor. The burgers here...I must say are not your typical burger options, which is why it stands out. It's one of those places where the burger might not fit in your mouth, but it will definitely make a great Instagram picture and get you many "likes". It's still delicious, just a tad bit hard to consume. And most of the options are deep fried burgers so healthy eaters, make this your cheat meal of the week! read more

Delicious food and decently quick service! I recommend ordering online for pickup: the food is usually ready in 10-15 minutes. They are also very cooperative with any food accommodations and you can edit almost all of the menu items if there's something that's not quite your speed. Having been to the one in Seattle, this location is a little cramped by comparison. The burgers and speciality fries are still delicious, of course! My favorite is the Ninja Deluxe. Mostly, I've come here for the novelty as there are a lot of other great places for a burger. The nori fries and the sauces/dips are the draw here, for sure. The drawback for me is that it's a small space and not great for parties larger than 2. Parking is always hit or miss here. Kinda funny. The last time I arrived and parked same time as two other cars and felt like we were in some funny walk race to get to katsu burger, first. Silliness. Anyway, my recommendation is to definitely try it out at least once. It's still cute with all the Japanese pop culture motifs, but a little cramped for me. Katsu Burger recently opened in Factoria and I was eager to try their katsu fried burgers, as they're something new for me. I ordered a Wabi Wasabi Buger. It's supposed to come with pepper jack cheese and wasabi mayonnaise. The burger arrived looking quite large with lettuce, onion, tomato, and pickles added. But when I took a bite, where was the wasabi flavor? I did not taste it at all! The pepper jack cheese? Not a hint of spiciness here. How disappointing. If it says wasabi, it better well have some freaking wasabi flavor, am I right?! Over all, the taste was just too bland. Cool idea, meh execution. There is limited indoor seating and the tables are close together. They have a few different types of burgers, with stuff you can add-on for extra charge. I got the Tokyo Classic with 12 spice fries with Japanese mayo dipping sauce and a green tea milkshake. The burger was pretty huge-stacked with cabbage. I see some elite reviewers saying this and that, but this restaurant is not a traditional American restaurant, so you shouldn't expect the waiter with a fake smile, urging for a 25% tip. Instead, it's a take out / dine in simple shop. The service is a-OK and you must be good with that. This is definitely one of those gems you don't find everywhere.
