The home is charming but old so the hot water takes a long time. The romantic suite has a large…read morejacuzzi but it takes so long to fill up by the time you get in the water is cold. And the suite is on the 3rd floor in the front corner so the roof cuts into the room making more than half the room unusable. The breakfast only offered tea/coffee no juice. The meal was quite a small portion size. And they don't seem to be able to manage 10 guests eating at once very well as they only offer eggs either over easy or scrambled eggs. The pancakes were 2 mini ones and the next day they served 1 1/2 slices of French toast on those Thomas cinnamon swirl bread so not much food. The mattress was super hard, made our arms fall asleep for side sleepers.

I likely won't stay here again because I love leftovers so like having a fridge, but I'd definitely recommend it to others!

TV with local channels was wonderful. Bed was very comfortable. But... Little refrigerator was very noisy and woke us up more than once when trying to sleep. There was a step up to the bathroom which sometimes became annoying...especially for us "old people" in our 70's. We don't need accommodation, but a level floor throughout would be nice. There were times when the guests above us sounded like they were going to fall through the ceiling (one of the downsides to staying on the first floor, I guess). Bathroom had a step-in tub and shower, while a level shower only would be preferred. And most important to mention, $300+ dollars a night was unbelievably expensive for this quaint, but rather dated inn; that's the most we've ever paid for lodging...even in some big cities! And I saw lower prices for rooms in the same inn after we returned home. We enjoyed our visit to LaConner, but sadly, we'll never return.

Free breakfast was pretty standard- we did love that they had gluten free bread and fresh berries and they were could enjoy them from our room. The staff was friendly and helpful! They offer wine service at the counter, but not from 6-9pm. We thought this was kind of funny, but maybe they're encouraging you to go to the wine shop down the street during that time. The hotel has a lovely outdoor area right on the water that we enjoyed. This was a great place to stay, but very pricey. Two nights cost almost $700 but had the same comfort and amenities as a hotel that would cost about half that.

The animals were so adorable and friendly. My only con was our initial impression of the room as it did not have a TV. But as our stay went on, we thoroughly enjoyed not having a TV in the room, it allowed us to disconnect more and take in the beauty of the island and surroundings. They do have a family/tv room, but we never felt the need to turn it on. This B&B offers four different rooms, one with a private bath and three that share two bathrooms. All of the rooms are sparkling clean, extremely comfortable, and beautifully sunlit (and have lovely views). The 1895 farmhouse is a stunner, and you might recognize its photo because it was on the cover of a seed catalog in 2001! The real highlight of this place is the breakfast. There's an onsite chicken coop, and the eggs will be fresh, as in this-morning fresh, and oh my, they are FANTASTIC. And Christian is also a talented baker of buttermilk biscuits. They are just a few miles away from the island's farmers' market, so fresh fruit and vegetables either come from their garden or a neighbor's, essentially. No children, no smoking, no pets... it's a quiet nirvana. And it's cheap in the winter, all rooms $99/night, and as their website says, free hugs from the innkeepers too. :-) They are delightful, trusting and gentle people, and you will feel refreshed if you accept their hospitality.

It is located on Cattle Point very near to several great beaches and American Camp, part of San Juan National Historic Park. By car it's about 10 minutes from Friday Harbor. Its hosts are Christian and Lea Andrade, two of the friendliest and kindest people we know. The inn is located in a historic farmhouse and the rooms are all well-maintained and comfortable. Our favorite is the Garden Room located off the kitchen. The breakfasts consist of a smoothie, a fruit dish, a baked egg dish and baked goods like biscuits or muffins. Everything is always delicious. Although there is a lot to do on San Juan Island, we always take time to relax at the inn and enjoy the peace and quiet on their pretty deck or on the grounds with beautiful flower gardens, yard art, and a chicken coop populated by lots of hens. We also enjoy visiting with the hosts, who are very knowledgeable about the island. Whether it's helping you plan a trek to the beach, identifying a particular type of owl you saw perched on a street sign, or inviting you to listen to them as they practice with their wonderful marimba band, the Andrades are at the top of our list for B&B hosts. We can't wait for our next visit!

The wall of windows at the back of the great room is so hight, you can stand and view over the tops of the 70-80-foot fur trees that line the backyard, with its breath-taking views of the bay and Mt. Three fireplaces, an office, a study, kitchen, dining room, master suite with large walk-in clots connected to the laundry room, magnificent great room and entry--and that's just downstairs.
