    Chopped Steak

Chicken & Waffles were good but my friends "Chopped Steak" was literally just ground beef. False advertising tbh, not sure why they ask how she wanted it cooked if the ground beef would come out the same regardless. Hostess seemed kind of lost & out of it but overall I guess it was okay for eating out late.

    A serving of french fries

The food, atmosphere and service were all good but beware of hidden costs: -The waffle sandwich comes with home fries. We substituted home fries and asked for french fries instead. Instead of an upgrade price of $1-$2, the french fries were $4.99, which is the regular price. -They charge 2.85% of your bill to use your credit card. I understand that businesses have to make money but I would prefer full disclosure of any UNEXPECTED costs.

I've been here a couple times and it usually takes a while to bring out the food, probably around 25-30 minutes. Their food is OK and I have only tried their breakfast items. Waffles were nice and fluffy. The brisket tasted good on its own, but the hollandaise sauce didn't pair well with it. Servers are all very nice and attentive. They will refill coffee without being asked. It is a lively place and has a diner-style feel to it. The dessert is AMAZING. I was hesitant since the bread pudding had raisins but I would absolutely come here again just for that. The chocolate cake was good too, but the bread pudding really stood out. Easy to park, they have a parking lot attached.

Came here with family late one night as they're open 24 hours, I believe. The worst part was the wait with the limited seating but everything else from the atmosphere to the food was a 10/10. Our server was very patient and amicable with our party of 5 and the seemingly endless questions and preferences of each individual. I had a margarita flight and the Times Square sandwich and everything was delicious.

Let's start with Jason, bar staff. Excellent attention. Courteous. Friendly. The Tomato Basil soup is good. My first time to have it. Has a little spice, but only enough to warm the throat. The soup was a bit thick and could have used a fresh grated parm on top. I would order again. The burger. Cooked perfectly. Had mushrooms on it that were not ordered, but easy to remove. A side of onion rings were perfect, as usual. $61 was painful. Still a great place to go late night.

We always try to stop by Katz when we are in Houston for the French dip and matzo ball soup. My husband should be a spokesperson for this sandwich. Service is always friendly here. Our food was served hot and didn't wait too long. I tried the pastrami Reuben. Flavor is there I just wish the meat was thicker instead of sliced deli meat. It's still a tasty sandwich.

Well.... The vibe was definitely giving NYC. No greeting from the hostess just straight in with "for two?" with zero personality. Other staff greeted us kindly as we walked toward our table. Our waiter was nice and attentive but the food felt rushed and the jalapeño poppers came out cold. Sandwich and artichoke dip were pretty good. I got Matzo ball soup to-go which tasted great. For Houston I think they could've represented themselves a bit better. Would I go back? Yes, but the staff should and could use more spark and to make sure food comes out hot.

Doordash took Ten minutes to retrieve. This place is nice and vintage. Music is smooth and the people here look well to do. Food is fresh. Cheesecake shake and the Ruben Sandwich are recommended by staff.

I was excited to try Katz after a referral to eat here . The food itself is very disappointing. I had chicken Parmesan sandwich . Soggy before I could eat it .. dripping of water sauce from marinara . I asked to send back . I got the country club . It's a sandwich so not much I can mess up . It was hard to though . Didn't know it came on a bagel and the bagel was a bit toasted so hard to bite . The homemade spinach dip is a LIE . Nothing homemade about it . It was super watery . The Alfredo pasta is wayyy over priced for taste . No seasoning. Very dry ... Kids pizza was undercooked . Cheese wasn't even melted yet . Service was though. Waiter and manager were respectful . Ambiance is family friendly nice and clean . Over this experience is a 2 out 5 . I honestly expected way more . The bill was $41 for Alfredo and a sandwich lol . I was pissed because it wasn't even worth $10 . Not sure what's the hype was but I didn't Find it OH AND HAIR WAS IN OUR FOOD . Enjoy the nice I tried to take .

Always good food! I do feel it's better to eat in, but this time I ordered delivery. Service was fast and my food was fresh. I ordered the Cobb salad. Their Cobb salad does not come with a boiled egg, just so you know. I did pay for extra avocado, because I love them. They offer a very nice variety of salad dressing. However, I wasn't feeling adventurous today.‍ The ambiance is casual and usually pretty busy. When ordering delivery you miss the temptation of the dessert counter. But even delivery is safe sometimes. The cheesecake still calls my name. However, their food is consistent as well as their service. I've not had a bad experience. So if you're looking for a down home kinda meal, Katz's will probably work for you.

    Avocado toast with salmon
    Amy A.

I was excited about trying this place. The atmosphere and decoration are cool. We ordered the margarita flight which was yummy. Then we got the avocado toast and the Salmon Eggs Benedict. I would not get the eggs benedict again, as the sauce was sour tasting. We didn't like it. We absolutely loved the avocado toast. It was so fresh and tasty. We ended our meal with watching a drunk person out the window hit our vehicle in the Katz parking lot and the cops had us waiting hours and they never came to help us. We won't be returning because of this incident. Go somewhere else if you're out and about on a Friday night.

I ended up ordering their weekly special because i love tomato soup and it didn't disappoint. I had also ordered a Custom Rye sandwich with Hand shredded turkey, fresh sliced ham, mayo and pesto spread, lettuce and fresh onions, with oil and red wine vinegar, herbs and salt and pepper. The parking was a bit of a challenge, but it was easy enough because it was a calm Tuesday morning. To get from the parking area to the store, you just take the elevator one level down, and then you're right inside. This place is surprisingly big, filled with all kinds of snacks, cookies, and coffee. The highlight for me was their shawarma breakfast wrap. It was top-notch and exactly what I needed. You choose between whole wheat or white pita, and it's filled with scrambled eggs, your choice of fresh or sautéed spinach, and they add potatoes as well. Then they top it with shawarma chicken, tomato, and a delicious sauce. For $8.5 it was worth every bite. Hands down, a five out of five. I also tried their coffee, which was just a standard brew sitting in ice for hours and nothing special. At $2.50, it was fine, but nothing to write home about. The real stars were the cookies. I got a coconut pecan cookie and an almond crunch cookie, and both were absolutely delicious. I didn't have time to explore the whole store, but there was a great selection of fresh produce, chocolates, and all sorts of small treats. Overall, the staff were really friendly, and the entire visit was smooth. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area. Five out of five stars!

I had originally wanted to come because I saw that they sold steaks for purchase you can bring home to cook. However, since it was lunchtime and we were already hungry, we decided to grab some lunch as well. We got the 3 meat combo with chicken, brisket, and ribs. It came with two sides and we chose coleslaw and chicken salad. I thought it was nice they had extra protein choices as sides. They also had a tuna salad and egg salad in addition to pasta salad, beans, potato salad and other options. The food came out quickly and the meats were all very tender. However, they just tasted salty. I had a hard time tasting any other spices/flavors which is what I'm accustomed to at other bbq places. The chicken salad was salty as well. It would've been tastier in a sandwich with some crisp greens versus just by itself. Coleslaw was average. Edible but nothing special. Husband thought it was too sweet. I do have to say the service was very friendly. The worker behind the counter gave us the impression that he really wanted to help and make us comfortable. When I found out they only sold bottled water, he offered to go to the back and grabbed us two cups of tap water, which was a nice gesture because he didn't have to. We ended up not getting any other meats because the unpackaged steaks looked dried out and sad in fridge. I wasn't sure if those were the pieces they would sell you or if they were just for display. But for $34.99/lb, I didn't want to risk them giving me the dried out looking steak. Overall, it seemed like people really like this place . The person in front of my husband said this place has the best burgers! And lots of people kept coming in and out. However, for us, this isn't our favorite.
