It was so yummy, I love the fresh warm bubble waffle. I could eat it plain for how good it was. And the service was quick, from the time we ordered I would say it took 10-15 minutes for us to get our order, and in between that time a family was getting theirs too. So if it was empty I think it would've been faster

This is a very interesting ice cream/boba spot…read more It's actually a pretty small shop, but there are a few bar stools and bar table (6 in total, I believe). Upon entering, there is a table with an ordering menu that you fill out for the ice cream. There are no cones and no "parlor" for ice cream- only written options. The standard flavors of vanilla, creamy strawberry and chocolate are available as base choices. There were two "special" flavors of the day that was kona mud pie and another unique option. You can check off on the menu PER item how you want your ice cream in regards to toppings, syrups, in a cup or bubble waffle, single scoop or multiple scoops, etc. Hubby ordered a boba tea that you don't need to fill out on the menu sheet. I'm personally not a huge fan of boba, but he enjoyed it. The lime grape boba tea was what he ordered. As for ice cream, we ordered the following combinations: -Red velvet bubble waffle "cone" with kona mud pie ice cream and chocolate syrup - Classic bubble waffle cone with vanilla ice cream, strawberries and rainbow sprinkles - chocolate bubble waffle cone with creamy strawberry, oreo cookie crumbs and chocolate syrup The red velvet and classic bubble waffle were my favorite. The creamy strawberry ice cream was really good but the other flavors were on the sweet side- no additional toppings were necessary- in fact, I think it was overkill (though beautiful in presentation. I would probably come here again with the kids, but these are a little challenging to eat, in all honesty. The bubble waffle as a cone is nice, but not sturdy. The ice cream is nice, though options of flavor are limited. The ordering process is a little tedious when ordering multiple items, but it's understandable in order to get each one right. Cool stop if you're in the area. We walked there from Whole Foods Kailua main road (back) entrance.

Limited indoor and outdoor seating. 1/ FOOD: They serve both ice cream and sorbet with familiar Asian flavors like yuzu and shiso but also novel flavors like mango sticky rice and miso salted caramel. They also have good Kona coffee ice cream, with the Kona coffee from the local Tradition Coffee Roasters. 2/ SERVICE: Friendly staff. Free samples. 3/ VALUE: The smallest size only allows one flavor. The next size up has a minor up charge for two flavors in the same cup, but it's just north of $6 for a lot of ice cream. 4/ VIBES: The indoor seating is limited to two tables but the benches extend to the outside. Even if you can't sit, you can stand around the shop on the side walk or along neighboring walls... there is a lot of space!

The shop is tiny, bright, and open-air, with pale wood, a checkerboard counter, a few small tables and stools, and just enough surf/skate detail to feel like Kailua without trying to sell you Kailua I had the mint chip and Mānoa dark chocolate mac nut. My wife had Kona Snow, which is $2 extra as a premium flavor, and miso salted caramel. All four were worth paying attention to, which is not always true in a multi-flavor order. The ice cream is thick in the correct way: dense, cold, and substantial, but not gummy or punishing. It eats like someone cared about texture, not just sugar They also do not skimp on the actual things promised in the name. Mint chips, dark chocolate bits, and mac nuts showed up in every bite, instead of making one ceremonial appearance near the top. It is too easy to stop in for a quick casual scoop, which is dangerous, but at least the danger is well made

It's a nice little store with a great selection of frozen yogurt, toppings, and sauces. You can really go crazy here with candies, cereals, boba, fruits, brownies, cookies, and all sorts of goodies to go on your yogurt. There were about 12 different frozen yogurt flavors available on the day I went, from chocolate to cinnamon, cappucino and fruity flavors. Basically, you can mix up the frozen yogurt of your dreams. There were plenty of cups, spoons, and napkins, and the checkout process was quick and easy. This was much more reasonable in price than the froyo place nearest me. Sadly, I'm not normally out in Kailua but I will make it a point to stop here when I am!

They definitely have a lot of choices. However, the shaved ice was absolutely atrocious. It's a make-your-own setup with a machine, but the ice melts almost immediately as soon as you pour any flavor on top. Instead of having that soft, fluffy shaved ice texture you expect in Hawaii, it just turned into a watery mess within seconds. For how expensive it was, the quality really did not match the price at all.

Housed in a former gas station, it would be easy to drive right on by without a second thought, as…read morenothing from the outside hints at the culinary treasures within. Despite the fact that it's a considerably trek for city-dwellers, factoring either traffic or bus schedules into the equation, or both if you're particularly unlucky, it's a journey always worth taking. Hit Hanauma Bay along the way and make it a day trip; the only way to top those dazzling sights is to follow them with a stellar meal. Boasting a menu composed of locally-sourced produce and entirely vegan options, you'll want to take a number of friends for the best experience. Heck, get out there and make some new friends! Join one of the long communal picnic tables out back and introduce yourself; there are no friendlier folks on earth than those living in paradise, as far as I've seen. That said, if there was only one dish to order, it would have to be the Oh WOW Laulau. Wow, indeed! No where else on earth have I found vegan laulau, let alone such a stellar rendition. Traditionally consisting of fatty pork and/or fish steamed in taro leaves, this version eschews the meat in favor of hearty root vegetables, adding creamy coconut into the mix for richness. Not to be overlooked is the Tofu Poke provided on the side, claiming to be spicy but really bearing just enough warmth to taste perfectly balanced. This was easily my personal favorite from the small sampling of dishes provided, but it's a close call when all the options are so good. Another front runner is the BBQ Portobello Sandwich. Mushrooms marinated in a bright, smoky barbecue sauce practically sing between two whole wheat buns. Coconut slaw tops off the assemblage with just the right amount of subtle sweetness to contrast the deeply savory flavors within. Simpler but no less spectacular dishes include the Roasted Veg Platter and Roasted Veg Avocado Sandwich. The way that the vegetables are treated with respect, from the moment they're harvested from nearby farms to the care taken when they reach the kitchen is evident with every bite. Cooked with care and proffered generously with each serving, even the basics make the trek out here worthwhile. I'm still trying to recreate that impossibly umami gravy offered on the side. It's one of those things that are so astoundingly, inconceivably delicious, it's impossible to deconstruct. Each entree promises an ideal amount of food; satisfying diners without over-stuffing them. That said, you'll still want to make room for dessert, especially when you see the towering bowls full of Outta This Swirled Soft Serve. Cool, naturally sweet spirals of banana-based soft serve are dressed to the nines with cacao sauce that hardens much like magic shell, granola and coconut flakes tumbling down the mountainous terrain, and fresh fruits that vary based on local availability- Expect papaya always to be in ample supply, based on the thriving papaya trees on premise. Each order is abundant enough to be a considered a full meal in and of itself.

My choice was the Cupid's Dream smoothie, which consisted of strawberries, oat milk, chocolate, maple, and dates. Who knew healthy could taste this good ? The smoothie was sooo fresh, and flavors blended together flawlessly. Dare I say, this was one of the best smoothies I have had to date?
