I wanted to love this place, but it didn't fully land for me. The flavors are definitely there--the broth is rich and well-developed, and you can tell there's real care put into the food. They even make the udon in-house, which is a cool touch and something you don't see everywhere. That said, it made our stomachs hurt a little after.

Tried this ramen spot at got there at around 11:45 and there were 3/4 other groups there. Service was very nice and friendly and she went through the whole menu with us. The space is really nice and in a good spot in Fremont. We tried two different ramens and overall to me they were alright. I tried my friends anchovy ramen and can't say I cared for it, I like anchovy but perhaps too anchovy for my personal taste. I thought the spicy miso ramen was good but maybe I just don't prefer chicken ramen as I just thought it was alright. I thought the ramen noodles were probably the best part of the dish and thought the brother was little oily and salty, also wished it came with more toppings and big surprised it didn't come with egg as it was already 20$. Overall spot was fine, just not my fav

Light umami chicken ramen. Not too oily or heavy. Service was good and timely and nice clean ambiance.

Stopped by on a cold Seattle day and this really hit the spot. The ramen was warm, rich, and comforting. Service was friendly and the food came out quickly, which I appreciated. That said, given how hyped this place is, the bowl itself didn't feel especially memorable. Everything was solid and well executed, just nothing that really stood out flavor-wise. Still a great option in Fremont when you're craving something cozy

We got the Chicken Paitan ramen and honestly this is probably the best chicken broth I've had in Seattle. It was way richer and thicker than I expected which was a nice surprise. The noodles were fresh as well. The chashu is sliced pretty thin which is a bit unique but I liked it. We paid $18 for the bowl and the egg is an extra $2 We also split the garlic karaage and it was solid. You get 5 big pieces and they were super juicy. Always a safe bet. Service was fantastic too. The cell reception inside isn't great so the QR code menu wouldn't load for us but the waitress helped us order right away. Great experience overall.

My new fave ramen spot! My usual go-to spot has been super busy with long lines. But this place hits the spot. I love how bright it is in here! Everyone is super friendly. All the ordering is done through your phone; the food come out quick and the workers are helpful. I had the Truffel Shantan and oh my was it yummy! The broth was bold yet light. Just enough of a truffle flavor...sometimes it can be overpowering, but it was subtle yet effective. The pork was thinly sliced, however, I think I prefer a thicker slice. But it was still good. The noodles I prefer more thin and al dente, but again, still good! Curry waffle fries were a hit! Crunchy and seasoned well on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I want to try more of their sides and soups!

So yummy!! I have never had chicken ramen before and I loved it! It has so much flavor and if you like spice get it spicy! They also had a truffle ramen which I thought was unique. Not a truffle girlie though...Our waitress was so nice and helpful with the menu. I liked the dim lighting and multiple seating options.

Have been going to Kayava since it opened, and I just wanted to double down on my 5-star rating. It is still definitely one of the top ramen spots in the greater Seattle area. Last week, I was also able to try their new Niboshi Shoyu ramen, and it was so good! I really hope they keep it on the menu going forward (it was listed as a Chef's Special).

We ordered the chicken paitan ramen, a regular and a spicy, plus the Spicy Northwest Noble Miso Ramen with Garlic Kara-age. We're so used to tontkotsu broth that having this really rich chicken broth was a surprise. The pork was super tender. The broth was slightly salty but really good. The garlic kara-age was super juicy and tender. Bookmark this spot and would definitely come back! Limited street parking so you may have to drive around to find something.

KAYAVA is not the most authentic ramen place and it is pretty expensive for such small portion size. However, the service is good and accommodating which was a huge plus. SHIO RAMEN - 19 +2 egg I should have asked to remove the red onions from the ramen because that was a bit strange. The broth was light but pretty oily. All the other toppings were just OK and not too memorable. I did really like the texture of the ramen noodles, and it soaked up the broth well. The egg looked really good initially with the blood orange yolk, but it tasted extremely off. It had a waxy, slimy texture that was incredibly unpleasant. Sadly, we didn't love the food, but it was worth trying to find out. Food was 2/5, but bumped it to 3/5 for good service.

We came here for the Seattle Restaurant Week menu and Kayava did not disappoint! The space is bright, modern, and thoughtfully decorated, making it a pleasure to dine in. I got the spicy chicken paitan ramen and it was so delicious. The broth was very thick and m creamy but not too heavy, pairs very well with the thick, chewy noodles. The chili oil has a nice kick, it is not too spicy. Overall it was perfect for a chilly fall day. I got the matcha mochi for dessert, it was light and not too sweet. Service was quick and staff were friendly. I enjoyed dining here and would totally come back!

9.20.2025 Fremont KAYAVA, and while the vibe is welcoming and the staff are super friendly, the ramen itself was also good. The chicken paitan broth was rich and creamy, definitely the highlight, but the spicy pork shoyu felt lighter than expected. Noodles were firm and fresh, which was great, and I appreciated the gluten-free options.

This place was very busy but thankfully we didn't wait long to get a table. They have QR codes to order, food came fast and it was very fresh. The broth was not too salty or rich which I super appreciate. Overall a good experience, parking can be difficult though.

tbh 3.5 stars solid ramen, but expensive compared to other places in seattle ($18 base price with only mushrooms as toppings)

Makes it easier for the server and yourself to ensure you're getting what you asked for! I opted for the Classic Ramen with firm noodles and added an egg, and I looooved my plate. *Vegetarian Foodie Review*…read more Heard about this place from many locals, so we had to try it out. Went on a weekend and there was a huge line. We came back another time on a weekday, still a big line, but a bit shorter. We waited about 45 mins before our turn came. Ordered: 1) Classic Ramen (Regular, Mild, Thick noodles): I wanted to share with my 5 year old. I felt the broth could have been thicker. It was a bit light and not very filling for me, compared to other ramen places I have been to back in California. The flavor was definitely good though. Apparently there was some mix-up, because I felt they gave us medium spicy, my husband's ramen (medium spicy) and ours tasted exactly the same. It ended up being too spicy for my kid. She hardly ate any noodles, complaining it was spicy even after I separated them from the broth. I didn't complain to the restaurant since they were super busy that day, and honestly it was almost 10PM and we were starving and out of patience. 2) Classic Ramen (Regular, Medium Spicy, Thick noodles) 3) Vegan Gyoza: This was good. My 5 year old finished it all. 4) Strawberry Mochi Ice Cream: We loved it. We got 2 pieces in one order and savored every bite. The restaurant had limited seating and had typical ramen place vibes. The servers weren't very attentive; we kept trying to find someone who could help us at multiple instances. They seemed super busy and short-staffed. So not a great experience in terms of service, but for the food I would give a solid 4/5.

The ramen was incredibly flavorful--rich, comforting, and exactly what you want. Everything tasted fresh and well thought out. I also ordered a draft root beer which was honestly so good and a fun change from the usual. We came with kids and they made the experience extra special. The kids got to pick out a Pokémon card at the bar (huge win), and our waitress went above and beyond--she was so warm and attentive. She even brought the kids Pocky for dessert, which was such a sweet touch. We also ordered the fried chicken--$8 for a huge portion, which is an amazing deal. The dipping sauce was delicious. Personally, I'd prefer the pieces to be a bit smaller, but that's just a minor preference, As well as a real utensils would be nice over plastic.
