I had the worst experience ever! Waitress was great it was management after I informed her my chicken was rubbery and cooked use way too much soy sauce it was too salty to eat for me Ned my friend. She continue to come around corner and give us the "crazy eye". Mind you the only thing we eat was our salad, a drink and a sushi roll, we offered to pay for our food she informed us that we should alt least pay half out bill. I said no you have to full plates there she the said you ate one shrimp! I said well that's usually how you taste. She gave me a hundred dollar bill and demanded I pay half, I demanded she ring in my bill of what I ate. She then threatened to call police I said please do we can clear this up she then continued to slam things around act like she called police and recalculated my bill. I will never go back!!! Joined at our table with another family with two young children. Waited over an hour before they even turned on the grill. Asked if they'd compensate for our time. Was ignored. Was still given a full priced check. Asked again about what would be done to make up for waiting more than an hour to even start cooking our meal. I stopped on a fluke and now can't wait to go back. I had 3 different rolls and some miso soup and was so happy. I'm a huge tuna fan and their spicy tuna was delicious. Plus I enjoyed the tuna lovers roll! My only issue is that I didn't order the Irish Roll but that is on my list for next time. Are there fancier places? Probably. But I was impressed with the sushi, the sushi chef and my service so that will get me back in the door. Good job. I wish I would have brought some home! :) read more

Decided to get some sushi take out today. I was REAALLLYYY looking forward to the sushi and trying it from a sushi place I had never been to before. Service was wonderful, restaurant was clean. The only good things :-( . . . I was there at 12:30 to pick up my sushi (ell roll, salmon roll and spicy tuna roll). There was 2 people at the sushi bar and that was it. = ouch! Recently went to this hibachi/sushi place when visiting the in-laws, and I wasn't expecting much from the decor on the outside. However, I was pleasantly surprised once we got to the food. Collectively, the four of us ordered the hibachi lobster, steak, scallops and chicken. All of us were very happy with our orders, although my wife claims that the vegetables were even better than the scallops she ordered. We also shared a couple of sushi rolls and nigiri platters, all were excellent and very fresh. To top it off, the service was very friendly, food came out very fast, the wait staff was great, all in all a very pleasant dinner. Although, whats with that one TV in the back? Go to Kazan if you want to wait 40 minutes before they start cooking and another 40 minutes for the food to be done. Want a refill on your drink? Better go somewhere else. It was a TERRIBLE lunch experience. I won't be back. read more

I have no idea why this restaurant doesn't show up in the Nuvo best restaurants section each year. It has the best spicy tuna I have ever eaten anywhere in the country. The sushi chefs are very nice and make sure you enjoy the food. The rolls are professionally made and taste phenomenal. Some favorites are Spicy Tuna, Tomago (egg), Volcano Roll (Spicy shrimp topped with spicy shrimp and baked), avocado roll and asparagus roll. The inari (tofu pouches) is good too. It is hard to go wrong here. Even the Hibachi is great. read more

Great sushi and sashimi! Came here with my BF. We sat at the sushi bar because the hibachi side was really dark. The tofu in the miso was big and plump. I stole a bite of the salad and the ginger dressing was creamy and delicious. My BF got gyoza and three specialty rolls while I ordered the chirashi. The rolls can be a small count so be sure to ask about that if you are sharing or just happen to be super hungry. The sushi chef was super excited about the chirashi and made sure he didn't put any pieces I wouldn't like and extra of my favorite. He even garnished it with salmon roe- so pretty! HOWEVER when I went to the restroom the younger Hibachi cook... the one with tattoos on his upper arm hit on my girlfriend, told her that she could do better and asked her if she wanted his number. She didn't reveal this to me until we were out of the parking lot so I could only call the manager. The manager told me that my girlfriend must be lying, then when pressed apologized. I have been a fan of hibachi grills since i was a child and have been to several of them over the years. This is sadly THE worst one i have ever been too, it took 45 min for just our drinks to come out but it just went downhill from there are waiter only visited us twice once to bring out our drinks and the other time to bring out our food. We had to wave other waiters down to get a refill and to get our check which took another 20 mins. If it was possible to give zeros stars I would, but sadly i have to settle with this one star which is way more then they deserve. read more

No gluten free menu, but I didn't really expect one. Soy sauce is typically made from fermenting soybeans and wheat and then distilling it, with the remaining gluten particles being degraded. Some gluten sensitive people can tolerate soy sauce while others cannot. For me, I take along my own gf soy sauce for use at the table and I don't worry so much about the sauce they use for cooking. I might have a headache the next day, but as long as my insides don't feel like I've been trying to digest broken glass, I'm thrilled! Back to the review: Kazan has decent sushi, but the real treat is the hibachi. The chef's really know how to entertain! Between the flaming onion volcano (opa!) and the silly egg tricks, it is a fun time. I think all hibachi food tastes about the same, but the scallops I had had a nice texture. Service was great- there was a bit of banter between our chef and his manager which was fun and we were happy that the hibachi show started without us having to wait for the sushi. read more

2.5 stars. I ordered the hibachi steak with the shrimp appetizer. Service was good but it took the restaurant over 30 minutes to get to our table. Maybe they were short handed that night but we were waiting for quite awhile. I though the food was on the salty side and steak was overcooked. This could just be the Teppanyaki chef but usually when I eat at these places it is alot less salty. The fried rice had way too much soy sauce in it, the most I have ever seen and was slightly burnt. I do have to say that the Teppanyaki chef was entertaining. He did some of the better tricks I have seen. I don't think I would come back here to eat such high sodium content food. read more

We've been here as a party of 5 for over an hour now; our party sat at the regular tables, rather than the hibachi bar in hopes of faster service. To our dismay our food took an hour+, our server failed to fill refill our waters the entire night, and we were only ever checked on once after receiving our food. I'm not sure if the chef we had was new or just bad, but we did not have a good show at all. He was nice enough, just didn't know what he was doing. It started with the chef accidentally throwing one of the cooking forks at me. Then, I wouldn't say that he put on much of a show. He barley interacted with us, when he tried to do the volcano trick, his fire went out before he had a chance to move it along the table. And that was the only trick he did. He was clearly struggling, but I wasn't very impressed by the other chef we saw there either. There were only three tables full on a Friday night, so it couldn't be that he was rushing. Kazan is our go-to place for hibachi. They have the best fried rice I've had anywhere. I always get hibachi chicken with mushrooms. They have a children's menu. Everything is very flavorful. I love the salad dressing. My sons love the onion soup. The chef who cooks in front of you is always entertaining. It's never too crowded and we've always had good luck getting seated right away. read more
