Quiet, low lighting makes for a fantastic place to wind down for lunch. Service is prompt and to-the-point, without unnecessary small talk, yet lovely and pleasant. I came for the XiaoLongBao, and it did not disappoint. Fantastic, full of broth, full of flavor, and they actually had black vinegar blended sauce instead of plain soy sauce for dipping. Definitely will be back!!

So my best friend and I are obsessed with soup dumplings since having them in NYC last year and the only place we have found them so far in Indy is Tian Fu! We ordered the pork soup dumplings and they hit the spot for now (until NYC again ) We also ordered a couple sushi rolls, pineapple fried rice, and a pepper beef off the Chinese menu. Ask for the Chinese menu!! There are so many options that everyone should be able to find something. The service was friendly and helped us pick out dishes. The restaurant is also huge and beautiful decorated. I can't wait to go back!

This was an amazing visit for as authentic as you can get Chinese food, in Indianapolis Located at the end of a shopping plaza, there was plenty of parking spaces for lunch. This was my first experience and I went with a large group so we got to try several dishes. The bao was excellent and reminded me of my Mom's. Wood ear mushrooms, Szechuan Mapo Tofu, spicy beef, rice noodles, green beans, and dumplings. There were so many dishes with 8 people, I didn't even have a change to get the names of everything we ordered. It was all good. There were so many choices. I highly suggest this place. Portions were decent sized for the price. Average seems to be about 13.95 per dish.

Tian Fu is unassuming, being in a strip mall near the pyramids. You walk in and it's much bigger than expected with a sushi bar and all. The menu is packed with options- everything from Chinese to Japanese to Thai. Soup dumplings 3/5, Szechuan dumplings 3/5, negimaki 4/5, Dan Dan noodles 3/5. Good service from an attentive waiter, food came out hot and quick.

Had a lunch date with my daughter and after finding out that the only dim sum place closed in Indy, we were looking for some new spots. Tian Fu is bigger than I expected and the menu was HUGE to the point of overwhelming. They had Chinese, Japanese, and Thai food. We ordered: Salt & Pepper Calamari: We really liked the calamari, but I wish there was some sort of sauce to balance it out and I felt like the lettuce was not needed. The calamari itself was delicious and we ate it all. The soup dumplings were good and I liked the flavor. It was a fun experience for my daughter who was wondering how soup got into the dumpling! Walnut shrimp: it was crispy on the outside and the candied walnuts added a lovely crunch that contrasted nicely with the shrimp. The portions are generous, so we brought home some leftovers for later. We'll definitely come back to try some other things on the menu!

Came back. Went with our previous orders and added these 2 on our main course: Crispy spicy chicken and Sauteed string beans. Both a really well flavored and enjoyable. As usual, the Peking duck was great. Will come back and try more from their menu.

Spicy tuna roll, tempura roll, and I can't remember the last one but oh god it was amazing

It was very calm and peaceful vibes when I came by at the sushi bar. The server was very attentive and friendly. The chef did amazing work, it all came out perfectly and the food was amazing. I will definitely come again.

Very solid Chinese food in Indy that appeals to those looking for more authentic food as well as your standard Chinese American items. I usually get carry out and haven't tried their sushi - I stick to their Chinese dishes mostly. Highlights - cumin lamb, walnut shrimp, stir fry string bean, spicy crispy chicken

Our foodie group came to Tian Fu Asian Bistro for dinner to celebrate the Chinese New Year, and it was more than I bargained for that night. The ambiance is beautiful and gorgeous with a nice Chinese decor and atmosphere, but it was extremely packed wall to wall. I had heard how amazing and incredible the food is here, and I can concur that this was the case for the night. The service, however, was disappointing. Our server was running around the restaurant ragged taking care of a bunch of tables at once because the restaurant was busy and packed for the Chinese New Year. Some people in our group waited over an hour for their food! The service was slow and the server did not speak clear English so it was hard to understand her at times. She did the best she could given how busy the restaurant was that night, but we were still disappointed with the service. The food did make up for the slow service. I ordered the chicken teriyaki entree with Miso soup and salad. It was terrific! The chicken teriyaki was very flavorful and had the perfect texture. The Miso soup was delicious and the salad was good. The red curry chicken looked amazing that my friend ordered and the hot and sour soup also looked terrific. From what my group told me, the restaurant is not usually busy, so this was unusual for the place to be packed, but since it is the Chinese New Year, it would be conceivable that the restaurant would be busy. I'm sure if I came back to Tian Fu Asian Bistro another night when it is not busy, the service would be better. Other than that, the food is excellent and I would highly recommend everyone to come here for Chinese food. It is definitely one of the best places in Indy for Chinese food!

Good and fast food for a lunch option. I got the chicken teriyaki lunch box. Get to try a little of everything which I really liked! The service was so quick and the insane was decorated nicely. I will go again for lunch for sure.

If you like authentic Szechuan food, this is the place in Indy. Dry chili chicken. Xialombao (soup dumplings). Spicy boiled beef. Yangzhou chow fun (fried rice). I worked in China 2003-2009 and hit up authentic Szechuan restaurants all over. If you've never tried those dishes above, come here and do it! And looks like they also have regular chinese food and sushi that I'm sure is great too but try some of the above.

This is the best Chinese restaurant in the area ! Lunch specials start at 8.99 and include soup, spring roll, and a crab Rangoon. Helpings are large for lunchtime. The boiled fish and Mongolian 3 ways were stellar. Prices are just amazing for what you get. We also took a large group and everything was fantastic. Great service and nicely paced dishes! Other standouts were the honey glazed shrimp and string beans !

I see in the pictures from a few years ago that there is a special Korean menu? Is this still available? I've been looking for a place that has black bean noodle and would like to check!

Thank you for reaching out! While we don't have a Korean menu, we offer a fantastic variety of Chinese, Japanese, and Thai dishes. Unfortunately, we don't serve black bean noodles, but we have many other delicious options that we think you'll love.…

It was very clean with a few people dining in. It appeared that most orders were carry out, at least in mid-afternoon when I was there.
