Great place! I'll be back for sure ! Sarah did my nails and they came out better then I thought. Great prices. Also a lot of people come here so definitely a good sign. They have literally tons of girls working so the wait time is 5 minutes at the longest. I didn't feel like I was rushed at all. My mani and pedi is perfect Great experience. And I think Mike the son? Do not get dip nails here. I came here to get dip nails for the first time and in less than 2 weeks, 3 of my nails broke. The first one got chipped in less than 24 hours! I came back the next day and they fixed it. The second and third nail broke in a week. I have been getting dip nails for 2 years and I've never had them break this many times. I went back a second time and they asked me who did them. I told them it was julie. The lady said "dont go to julie" when shes the one who works there. So i asked for someone new to do all of my nails since they clearly know julie is not good with dip nails. She refused. When i asked for a refund they told me they wouldnt do that and nails break all the time, even though they just admitted julie is not good. They said they can fix the nails as they break which is really frustrating because i cant come back everyday as a new nail breaks. I do not recommend this place at all. The lady kept saying over and over again how nails break, which is true but not this fast!! Like i said, i have been getting dip nails for 2 years and they've never broken this fast and this frequently. This place clearly is not able to do dip nails at this time. They will waste your time and money. As i left i asked the lady a simple question about them breaking again, she rolled her eyes and shook her head at me. Terrible. Also their dip colors do not match. See picture for the featured color and the actual color Update: in the day i was drafting this review, a 4th nail broke (painfully). I called them about getting it fixed and they gave me the run around. I finaly gave up and went to my regular spot, Lynns Professional nails in elk grove to just got all of them redone before every single one of my nails broke painfully in less than 2 weeks. read more

What a disappointment.My pedicure completely peeled off in a few days. They usually last several weeks. Since management has changed 3 times in the last six months, everything's gone downhill and my favorite people have left and are now at American Nails on Fulton. read more

I would like to start off with saying that I had a great experience. Kathy did my service and took her time. I did not feel rushed. She paid very good attention to detail. She started my pedicure at 9:25am and ended at 10:15am. Almost an hour!! I don't know if it's because I got there when they opened 9am. But it was amazing. I got the basic pedicure for $25. She soaked, exfoliated, scrubbed and put oil/lotion on my feet/calves. Very COVID friendly. Temperature check, a clear plexiglass that goes around the customer while seated, and everyone was wearing a mask. read more

KB Nails on Fair Oaks Blvd. Ste. G always do an amazing job! I had gotten my nails done earlier today at a different nail salon that was closer to my house and I left in tears. Having to pay basically $100 for something that looked nothing like the picture, I was devastated especially with 4th of July around the corner. Knowing KB nails always does a spectacular job, I gave them a call with the hopes of getting in. I explained my whole situation to them and they responded with some much care and kindness. This was my first time at Kb Nails but I will definitely come back! I scheduled an appointment with Tina Le because she does not take walk ins and I heard she's amazing. She did so well and took great care of my nails. Made sure that I loved everything about my manicure and was more than happy to fix anything I didn't like. I came to this salon for the first time today, and I had a great experience. This location is an original KB nails salon, located behind Mcdonald on Fair Oak . There is another KB nails across the street but different owner. So make sure go to the right nail salon. The service is great. My daughter and I can in for a pedicure and we were told it would be a 20 min wait. We put our name down and went to grab coffee we came back and it was packed! We gave her our name picked our dokie and after 20 min I said how much longer and she said just a min. Then 15 min later we said this is crazy and told the receptionist we were leaving and she said "bye." Wait what?!?!? I couldn't believe how they were making people with appointments wait. I won't be back if you can't even honor an appointment. read more

I've been coming here for years and I love it! Always quality services and short waits, even when it's busy. They've been great adjusting to COVID regulations. I called to make an appointment and was able to get in right away. They were ready for me when I arrived. The salon had been remodeled and it's really beautiful. The equipment is all new. The chairs were very comfortable and the massaging features were excellent. The front desk, Tina Lee; nail technician, Cindy; and the owner, Lynn, were all so friendly. I chose the deluxe pedicure and I'm glad I did - it was an excellent value! Cindy is very talented and my pedicure is beautiful. My feet are so soft ave relaxed. I usually love KB nails but I had an awful experience the last time I was there. Nina did my gel Manicure and she initially asked if I wanted 2 or 3 coats. I said 3. When she was done she offered another coat I said "sure" since I still saw lines. She said "Liar. 3 now 4" Under her breath I told her she didn't have to do a 4th coat because I saw she was clearly aggravated by it. She then took the clippers and clipped the side of my cuticle and pulled out a chunk. It is it is now infected and is very painful. She had already cut all my cuticles so there was no need for this. Very unprofessional calling the client a liar as well as unnecessary harm. read more

I did not have as good of an experience as the last time I came here. This time that I went with my friend, we felt very rushed by the manicurists. They separated my friend and me into two separate rooms, instead of letting us sit together when we asked (last year I was able to sit with both friends that I came with..). There were plenty of empty seats next to each other that were available. Right when I entered the salon, the guy at the front sat me down and this lady began putting on my fake nails, even though I didn't choose a color yet! I personally like to take my time in choosing a color, and I normally wait in the lobby area until I've selected a color. The staff here did not allow me that option. I had to skim through the colors as the manicurist put on my fake nails. Also, I've gotten my nails done plenty of times before, and I thought that they usually put on a base coat before putting on the colored polish? They did not do that this time. They also did not have me wash my hands after buffing my nails like other salons have. I felt so rushed and I felt like this salon was skipping steps to get the job done quicker. They also didn't lotion my hand/arm at the end like they usually do. The lady who did my nails was friendly and the nails came out fine overall. I would have liked my nails to be placed closer to the cuticle though. It's only been a week since I got the gel full set, yet my fake nails look like they are sliding off as if it's been over 2 weeks since I got them done. :\ Due to the rushed feeling and the skipped steps, I won't be returning to KB Nails. I much prefer Deluxe Nails in Folsom, in which I've had a much more consistently good (and relaxed) experience. read more

I always love coming here with my grandmother to get our nails done. We have tried so many nail salons, but none are up to par like KB Nails. The staff is professional and kind, and they do a wonderful job with manicures and pedicures. This entire year has been rough on a lot of business due to Covid, so we make sure to show our support to help them continue their great service. They are incredibly clean and hygienic, which is so important during these times. They recently remodeled and have protective covers in all of the seating areas, as well as a beautiful touch of decorations. We are more than happy to continue our visits here! read more

I've been coming here every two-ish weeks for a year and a half. No joke. They're always nice and always friendly and they keep expanding through the walls to accommodate for more mani/pedi areas. It's clear why they do so much business. The owners are wonderful and everyone always does an awesome job. I'll be back next week! I had a deluxe pedi and a manicure. The lady doing the pedi sprayed scorching hot water in my foot, and no apology. Told two other staff members and I got a sorry! The manicure was crap, two days after the manicure the polish is already peeling, I've never had that happen before. My girlfriend also did not enjoy her experience. She had gel nail pedi and regular mani and the colors were so different. They don't even try to make it a good experience. Will NEVER use them again!! read more

KB nails is the place to go! They have great customer service and get my nails done quick each time. Jennifer did my nails today and she was great! She shaped my nails exactly how I wanted them! They always do a great job shaping my nails whether I get them square shaped or almond! They have so many beautiful colors to pick from! I wanted to love this place since the host/receptionist was very nice and accommodating and the nail salon was pleasing in general, however, I had to dock two stars due to the quality of my nails in the end. The woman who did my manicure cut me a few times with her nail clippers and was filing my pinky finger more than my pinky nail. Honestly the worst nails experience I've ever had. And I get my nails done every month for over 5 years. The lady named Julie messed up my natural nails. I get dip on my natural nails . She didn't ask what I wanted and just started clipping my nails so short ! And it only went downhill from there. She also made my fingers bleed from trying to clean the dip off my nails. I mean how can you mess up so bad. She applied dip in the messiest way possible and left dip all around my nails and under my nails and waited until the dip dried off and then tried to rip it off. The pain was too much. I should have created a scene and done something. The worst lady ever, thanks Julie for ruining my natural nails and for giving the most painful nail experience. Come visit KB Nails at 2326 Fair Oaks Blvd (located behind McDonald’s). *This location is NOT associated with the secondary KB Nails location (near Raley’s). We are under 2 separate ownerships. We have worked really hard to give our shop a new look, and we’re excited for you to come see it. We have a new atmosphere featuring new spa chairs, tables, and equipment. We hope you’ll enjoy our new look just as much as we do. We are also taking COVID-19 safety precautions to protect both our customers and our staff—your temperature will be checked upon entry, and we practice social distancing and require masks to be worn at all times by both customers and employees. I was basically told "we do free fixes," but that's not the point ,i was leaving for a trip and wanted my nails done correctly the first time. These nails started looking old after TWO DAYS. You could already see my nail bed growing out like they were weeks old. I got them done on the 16th and the photo is from the 18th. Super disappointing experience and definitely won't be going back.

They said someone would give me a call back never heard anything back. I've noticed that the only time they try to fix anything is if a review was made the inconsistency of having Nail techs that actually stay. This is actually heartbreaking as I I've have grown use to Yuna doing my nails and now I have to look for another Nail tech.

One person canceled that morning, but I was able to switch to a different service for myself that same day vs. losing my deposit. The two pedicures were fine. They were basic pedicures, and aside from the water initially being extremely hot, I was happy with the results. Because of the deposit, there was also no wait time. The head spa, however, was a completely different experience. This was my first head spa, so I was excited and expected it to be relaxing. Unfortunately, it was anything but. The massage was brief, and despite the menu stating that oils would be used, none were applied. During the double cleanse, the technician used her fingernails rather than her fingertips, which became painful. There was also an excessive amount of cleanser, and rinsing it out was difficult. The water temperature was extremely inconsistent--going from hot to ice cold--and water got into my ear. Instead of feeling relaxed, I was uncomfortable throughout the service. Afterward, my hair was not completely dry. When I asked for serum, I was told it had already been applied, and I had to explain that I wanted my hair fully dried and soft. Another staff member eventually finished drying it, and the end result was much better. The two services totaled $138, or $158 with a 15% tip. I shared all of this feedback with the front desk before leaving. They were receptive and said they would provide additional training. I was also told that the technician was new to the salon and has some communication issues. I appreciate that they listened to my concerns, but based on my head-spa experience, I would not return for that service. *********************************************************** FINAL THOUGHTS Making a reservation requires a deposit, but it does give you priority if there's a wait. PRO TIP: I visited on a Saturday around noon, and it wasn't busy at all. If you're coming in solo, you can probably skip the reservation and deposit. I've had two pedicures here, and the service was totally fine. No issues at all. I also clearly saw the technicians using Barbicide to disinfect their metal tools, although I didn't pay attention to where they pulled the drill bits from. Overall, the salon is CLEAN, which I really appreciate. Personally, I wouldn't get a head spa treatment here again. I was told they're having plumbing issues because the building is old and that their plumber hasn't been able to resolve the problem. However, based on my experience, I feel some of the issues were related to the technician and not just the plumbing. That said, I'd love to hear from others who have had a head spa here. How was your experience with the water temperature? Did you have a better experience with a different technician? I'd genuinely be curious to know!

I recently had a gel acrylic full set done, and I'm extremely disappointed with the experience. This was, without a doubt, the worst set I've had at any salon. While the manicurist was friendly, she made several mistakes during the process. She cut my cuticles so badly that they bled, and they're still burning hours later. The paint job is uneven, with noticeable bumps, and the nails are misshapen. I politely asked her to fix a few things, but the issues were never fully addressed. What's even more concerning is that I observed her using the same tools on a client before me without sanitizing them. Given that she was cutting my live skin and causing me to bleed, I'm worried that if the tools aren't properly sanitized, germs could easily be transferred to others. While I'm fortunate I don't have any blood-borne illnesses, it's essential for any salon to maintain proper cleanliness to protect clients' health. In hindsight, I wish I had been more assertive and requested another nail tech to take over, but I tend to be shy and didn't want to cause a scene. Unfortunately, now I'm left with the need to have my nails redone for a special event, which will cost me an additional $45 plus tip. I'm truly disappointed by the entire experience. read more

I been going there for years and will never go again! When Tina, the owner, did my nails it was fine. Then she stopped doing nails, supposedly,And expanded to three times the size. The women who did my nails after didn't do a good job and they were always in a hurry. Last time I was there with a new friend I brought, I was showing the women what I wanted done and she kept getting mad and not understanding what I was saying. She started talking crap to her people and they kept coming up. She couldn't understand a simple "make the design bigger" which I was patiently saying not being rude although she had an attitude. Then she got up and said she's not doing it anymore! Just quit on me without any explanation, all because I asked her to do my flower bigger! Maybe get some people who speak English. My girlfriend and I came to Sacramento to visit our cousin and it was my girlfriend's birthday. So i wanted to treat her out. I yelped a nail salon and Kb nails seemed to have good reviews. So i took my girlfriend there. The customer service suck really bad. The lady that sat at the front desk greeted us. She didn't smile or actually pay attention to us. It made us felt unwanted. We told her that we wanted pedicures. She immediately told us to pick a color and have seat. We waited and waited, 20 minutes passed until we got seated. While we sat in the massage chair, she told us to wait a few more minutes. While we were waiting she had yelled at the workers to come and do our pedicures. We didn't mind waiting because we wanted to relax. The pedicure were great. The girls that served us did a very great job. Honestly, everything was great except for the customer service and that lady in the front need a lesson in customer service. I almost forgot, The floor was very dirty. I have been coming to K.B. for a while now and it is definitely my favorite nail place in Sacramento. When I moved here in 2007 from Pleasanton, I visited many nail salons trying to find my go-to one. I'd say I have been to about 10 other ones in Sacramento, but didn't like how my nails turned out at any of them so now I only go to K.B. nails. I admit I am pretty picky with my nails, and the person I go to at KB nails knows already how I like them to be and does a great job! Sometimes I like to get little rhinestones on the tip and I like that they remove the glue globs with a paper towl so the jewels don;t look like they are covered in glue. I like KB nails because the prices are very reasonable, the owners and nail artists are very nice, they do a great job on my nails, and it is very close to my house, in the same parking lot as McDonalds and the Car Wash ACROSS from Loehmans plaza, it is in the back left corner! I've been coming here for a while now however I will not be returning back since today, I have had the worst experience here today, walked in greeted by this young girl in a pony tail, sat down asked her if she can do the design I showed her on my phone and she said yes, so I assumed she could do so and I believed her, I got a manicure and a pedicure the young girl was doing my mani older lady was doing my pedi, as half way through the process she starts making complication about whether if she can do the design I asked for so I felt very disappointed at this time, and she said extra $20 just for couple Jewels so I told her that's fine , however she then said she's not able to do it and kept giving such an attitude, oh my god how rude! I didn't make it complicated at all for her but the way she just looked so bothered, then should've gotten me someone different if you can't do the job that I asked you to. At first I wanted a pedicure and a manicure but I couldn't decided because I just recently had a manicure done. So I stood there a for a few mins thn decided that I just wanted a pedicure. For some apparent reason the older lady, I think she's the owner kept complaining to her coworkers that I can't make up my mind and call me crazy. I have been going to KB Nails for over 2 years now and always have a great experience. Binh, Tina & Kim are the best!!!! Everyone who works there is extremely nice and considerate and on top of that they do a great job. I have pink/white gel nails and have never been disappointed with the way Binh does them. Tina is wonderful with waxing and since the expansion of the shop there is even a private waxing room....awesome!!!! And if you want the best pedicure in town Kim is your girl, she is extremely good and very considerate, 4 weeks after knee replacement surgery I was in getting a pedicure with no pain - the leg massage is the best. I simply love this place! The ladies that work there are great! I've been going there for about 2 years now and they never disappoint. Very reasonably priced, good selection of shellac/gel colors and always a nice and friendly attitude. Some of the manicurists barely speak English, but that doesn't get in the way whatsoever. They WILL find a way to understand what it is that you'd like and do their best. Although, I have to say, I wish they had longer business hours. BELIEVE ME- I am the most meticulous person around, and I can't express just how great a predicure and acrylic fill I received from Tina and Jeniffer @ KB nails. I do not recommend unless you don't mind a freestyle I wanted to get my nails done and I wanted square with a plain natural color I told the lady before starting she said ok .. it was suppose to be a 40 min manicure I was there for 1hour and 40 mins it seemed off at first but I just thought she was just taking her time .. It's best to come in first thing in the morning when they open, if you don't (even if you make an appointment) you'll most likely wait a while. Although, the quality is middle of the road. I've been coming here for at least a year, and have had adequate gel manicures. Although, it'll last you 2 weeks max. I moved, and started researching a few other places and found that KB is the McDonalds of nail shops. Since I was a walk-in and wanted to get my nails done, I agreed to add gel as well. The only positive thing I can say is that the manicure tools came in a sealed, sterilized package. I expected a clean towel for every customer, not one that appeared to have already been used for someone else. I had removed my acrylic nails a few months ago and had not had a manicure in a long time, so my cuticles were hard. Instead of using a cuticle softener or allowing my hands to soak long enough to soften them, she forcefully pulled at my cuticles. It was painful and very uncomfortable. Her customer service was very poor. She handled my hands very roughly, almost tossing my fingers from one side to the other. Throughout the appointment, I remained polite, but she made no effort to be friendly or provide good customer service. The worst part happened at the end. My hands were covered with nail dust, but instead of properly cleaning them or wiping them with a warm towel like other salons usually do, she applied lotion directly over the dust. She did not even ask me to remove my watch and continued moving my lotion-covered hands back and forth over my watch. At the end, I paid in cash. Cleanliness and proper sanitation should be the bare minimum when providing services like these.
