I came here on a Thursday based on a recommendation from a friend. I called ahead because my friend told me they are quite busy. When I got to the nail shop I was greeted by the owner. I told her I had an appointment for a gel manicure. While I was checking in, I asked if dip powder lasted longer than gel and she told me yes. I asked to change my service to dip powder and my nail tech came to get me to start my nails. They had a wide variety of colors which was really nice. My nail tech was Amber! She was absolutely fantastic. She was friendly and very thorough with my nails. She took her time and my nails came out perfect. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. When my service was completed, they have a ticket they give to the nail tech for easier checkout. As a new customer, they provided a punch card where you earn a stamp when you get a service for $10+. Once you collect 10 stamps, you get $20 off of the following service. Really great perk! I look forward to going back when I need my nails done again. read more

Had the worst manicure ever. They forced a color I didnt like or ask for, used the drill on my cuticles, didn't even use nail polish remover for the gel polish I had, and more... Don't go here. read more

I have been coming to KB nails for many years (since 2013 which is when I first moved to Sac). They are clean, professional, and QUICK! I have rarely had to wait for a nail tech. I usually get gel nails and I suck at making appts so I don't mind switching nail techs but I find that Jennifer and Tan are extremely detail-oriented and amazing at gel. The other nail techs that I've received are just okay which is why I removed the 1 star. Now for acrylics or dip, I am extremelyyyy picky! I always make appointments for these because I know I'll be paying more/staying longer. I ONLY GO TO TINA FOR THIS. If I could write Tina a separate review, I'd give her 5 stars all around. She is just perfect - amazing personality, I communicate what I want and she delivers! Honestly, sometimes I trust her opinion over my own when I'm feeling indecisive. She's that good. I'm certain she's amazing at bel also. She has regulars who have been seeing her for yeaaaars and I understand why. Make an appointment with her!!! read more

I've been coming here for months and overall the costumer service is horrible. From making appointments in advance yet having to wait 10+ minutes because they lack time management to the nail polish they use. I've been getting my nails done regularly for 5+ years and I have not had an issue of the gel peeling as much as I have after coming here. They have no regard for costumer satisfaction. Would not recommend this place. read more

I came here at the recommendation from one of my friends. She has been coming here for quite some time. I, unfortunately did not have the same pleasant experience as my friend. I had made an appointment for a gel manicure and pedicure. When I entered the salon I was greeted and shown where the color choices were located. I picked one color and once the technician brought the nail polish I realized that the color would be too bright, and I quickly requested a different color. Once I received the color I wanted I settled into the chair and started the massage. The nail technician who was doing my manicure turned off the massage chair because she said it would be "too bumpy" for her to do my manicure. I have never had a technician state they could not do my manicure with the massage chair on. I didn't say anything and left the chair off. She began working on my manicure and sliced my finger with the emery board. She apologized, but the cut added another layer of annoyance with the experience. Furthermore, the manicure itself was a bit sloppy. The nails itself looked good but I had nail polish on the tips of my fingers. Once my manicure was complete and towards the end of my pedicure, I was handed a bill. The bill was for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. I informed the technician that I had wanted a gel manicure and pedicure. The technician did take off the polish and apply the correct polish for the pedicure. There are people who love coming to KB Nails, but for myself I will stick to my usual nail salons. read more

I went here for 3 years and never had an issue. They changed management and that's where the problem began. I recently came in and most of my Nails chipped after only 5 days. When I came in to get it fixed. They gave me an attitude and proceeded to talk about me to another customer who was only sitting 2 seats away from me. Some of the comments included: "I should get glasses, and how can I not know the exact color I picked." For starters, the chips happened afterwards and they used to keep the color you used in the system. Don't go there!! read more

This nail salon has gone down the drain ever since they changed ownership. The nail techs aren't as careful. I cannot remember the name of mine but she was an older woman. I first asked for French tip but she messed up so much that I just asked for a solid color. It was coated so thick that my nails are lumpy. She also cut me multiple times on each finger even after being told to stop. As you can see in these photos, I went into the salon with ZERO cuts on my hands. I left with so many!! I do not recommend this salon. read more

My girlfriend came home extremely upset from the negative experience she had. Her tech was physically aggressive, massaging her legs with a hostile amount of force. Not only that, the quality of work was quite terrible and we have wasted an entire evening trying to undue the abysmal work. They nearly filed the top surface of her toes nails down to the fleshy substrate If you want your nails intact, and don't like wasting money time, or being physically assaulted, then don't risk coming here. read more

Had great service, but within hours of my pedicure, my entire big toe was painfully infected. Had to get antibiotics and couldn't walk on it due to the soreness, swelling, and pain. Sorry to give a negative review as they were really nice, but it's necessary to share and make others aware. read more

I have always had good experiences here but haven't been in ages - since pre-pandemic. Salon looks very nice with new chairs, fountains, lighting, etc. It was busy today (sat) but got in a massage chair quickly and then waited maybe 10 minutes (I didn't have an appt). Had a very nice Pedi and gel mani. Very happy with the thorough clean up of nails and really impeccable polishing. The tech who did my gel nails said her name is Ella I think. The painting work is very clean. Very happy. Everyone is always friendly and today was no exception. Prices are totally reasonable. I think it's def underrated on Yelp. Also: everyone masked and they check temps. I felt comfortable about their diligence. PS going to draw bugs on with paint pens if you're wondering why anyone would get this random color combo. read more

This is my first time back since COVID and the place is under new ownership. I'm disappointed in the quality. When I used to come for a full set gel mani/pedi my nails would last 2-3weeks and my toes would last at least 4 weeks. Nails - 3 coats (gel) Toes - 2 coats (gel) After one week all the nails are peeling up and chipping or tearing. This has never happened to me before with gel nails. The toes are better but bc she only did 2 layers you can see through the color on some of the toes. The business is extremely busy and seem to be giving unrealistic appointment times for coming in. My appointment was scheduled for 12:30pm and I wasn't seen until 1pm. I waited along with 6 other women. Another lady came in without an appt and mentioned she was just asked to come in at 1:15pm. She was seated at a station but still hadn't been helped even after my pedicure was done around 2pm. Not sure yet if I'll go back, the quality of the nails isn't quite what it used to be. read more

As a college student, I always try to find the cheapest deals near me because I do not have much money to begin with. Even though I do not have the most money, I like to practice self care. I went to KB and had gone a couple of times. After this LAST pedicure visit, my toe started to get yellow and it would hurt. I finally decided to go to the doctor and I found out I had an infection on my big toe nail. Sadly, it had to be removed. It has been months and my nail is finally starting to grow back, slowly. I will never come here again and I will be spending those extra $5/$10 to look for a cleaner place. I am posting this review only to warn people and to be more aware of the hygiene of a nail salon and for KB employees to sanitize their things. read more

New ownership! I heard from one of the staff that the previous owner, Tina, retired! I wish they would change the name so that there is no confusion, but at least at this location (the original KB Nails), there are more of the old staff still around. It was nice to see Jay at the front, so I will definitely be coming back here on the regular. Kimmy did my gel mani the first time, and I loved her work. Lee did my nails on my most recent visit, and she did a good job, but looking at them a few days later, they weren't as uniform in length or shape as previous. Nothing to complain about, just an OCD observation. They did a nice job of decorating for the holidays, and the vibe was very relaxed and the place was clean. Will be back! read more

It was my first time going to this shop after reading the reviews. The staff was not open to conversation or communicative in general. The lady who did my guest manicure kept pulling on her hand without communicating what she wanted my guest to do. The lady who did my pedicure was polite. This place is not people of color friendly. They would offer the white customers water while my guest were not offered a beverage. The pricing for acrylics is based on length and shape. read more

This review is for the check-in process/customer service and overall management of assigning technicians. An updated review has been a long time coming. Well after 3 new owners over the last year plus my go to spot's customer service has officially gone downhill. I say this with a heavyheart as I have been a long time customer of over 15 years. Typically, I walk in and greeted immediately, that was not the case today. I stood at the front almost feeling ignored. When someone finally greeted me I shared I had a 5:30 appointment. I walked over to the wall to pick my color. I got seated at a pedicure massage chair at 550pm. I sat and turned on the massage and waited some more. The greeter turned on the water to fill the tub and walked away to work on her client. Luckily, I did not stick my feet in the water all the way because the water was scolding hot. My nail tech was assigned and started my service at 6pm and she also agreed water was burning hot and added cold water and started a sugar scrub while the water cooled down. My nail tech was incredible, friendly, attentive, gave a great massage and detailed with her work. I will continue to patron this spot because of the nail techs, but check-in process and organization with the front of the house needs work and consistency as they have in the past. read more

Please avoid if you're brown or black! Super racist! They singled me out in the salon and had me pay way before my service was over. There were three other white ladies next to me and they were not asked to pre pay. The salon also had to adjust my credit card 4 times! Because the lady kept changing the prices. I would highly suggest somewhere else. I left the salon in tears for discrimination. read more

KB nails is my go to nail shop for a few years now. Their customer service is top notch and genuine. All my nail technicians have been attentive and skillful. My favorite nail technician so far has been Kristina, who has designed my very trippy rainbow mushroom nails. Not only was Kristina's work incredible but she took her time and paid attention to every detail with this set. My most recent visit was with Angel who did a great job with my red hot nails. Overall, every experience I've had at KB nails has been enjoyable and I've left satisfied! read more

I've been here a few different times and will say the experience really depends on who you get to do your service. The manicure techs don't do pedicures and vice versa. My last visit was just a pedicure and as soon as I picked the cheapest option on the menu I could not help but feel the tech was annoyed. It seemed a little rushed and she absolutely neglected my ingrown big toe nails which cause pain if they are not cared for properly. She was ready to paint and I had to let her know she needed to take care of the I friend first. She made some remark and the tech next to her calmed her down and instructed her on what to do. Over all they did look nice at the end but really feel it's up to the tech to do a thorough job without having to ask, let alone get an attitude. My previous visit was definitely 4+ as I only got a gel manicure and the tech was friendly, asked a lot of questions to make sure she got everything just right. I would go back to her again. I will be back to this location when my usual place is closed but will hopefully get a different tech next time when it comes to pedicures. read more

Pros: fast, cute, large place. The service were nice. Cons: not a perfectionist place. The prices are decent and affordable. The service is nice, fast and convenient. The work is a nice environment. I did not feel rushed. On the artistic side. The work is not flawless. Uneven shaping/length. The paint job is alittle lumpy. I would say I'm satisfied, but that being said this place did not impress me. Some recommendations would be, focus on the little details as shaping and even length. That will make the place upgrade from a 4 to and 5 star. The service, the time is great. Especially if you need something quick and cute. I dropped the review 4 to 3 because I my sister nails popped off the next morning. read more

I've been here several times and love it. The ladies and few guys that work here make sure your needs are met at a very reasonable price. One of my favorite things about KB is the time they take to work on your nails. They even take their time with their massages which feels really good and is relaxing. I highly recommend this KB location, not that I'm not a fan of the other one but you still gotta support the original you know what I'm saying? I appreciate how fast they are at making sure you get your service. Walk ins are welcome and for me, very rarely am I calling ahead to make an appointment because I know for a walk in I'll be able to be served within 10 minutes max. Would not honor a $25.00 gift card my husband purchased. Owners excuse was because of a change in ownership! KB Nails (Same address and same name on my gift card with no expiration date) $60 for a pedicure! I don't get the massage or hot towel. I asked that he at least not charge the extra $5.00 for the French tip as the old owner would always comp me as I never get the massage or hot towel. Nope! it's the same price $35.00. I will not return I know there are other nail salons that I would gladly give my Money too! read more

Come visit KB Nails at 2326 Fair Oaks Blvd (located behind McDonald’s). *This location is NOT associated with the secondary KB Nails location (near Raley’s). We are under 2 separate ownerships. We have worked really hard to give our shop a new look, and we’re excited for you to come see it. We have a new atmosphere featuring new spa chairs, tables, and equipment. We hope you’ll enjoy our new look just as much as we do. Because of their opening they do have specials going on. The first day I got a pedicure, which Nina did a great job. She was friendly and attentive to detail. The second time I stopped by I got a gel manicure, but I was left unimpressed. I will admit I was in dire need of one, but the nail tech left more of a border around the nail than I would have liked. I know I could have spoken up, but he wasnt as friendly and more reserved. He also mentioned that because of my short natural nails sometimes the color would puddle at the tips. It was a little odd since the customer next to me also has natural nails (but she did regular polish) that werent significantly longer than mine. I will say I do appreciate the cleanliness of the space, and also their massage chairs for pedicures. They warm up and also do massage on legs and back. Overall I do anticipate coming back for another service.

The environment is super chill. My nail tech was great, detailed, and paid careful attention to cutting cuticles and applying polish. They have color options for both regular and gel polish. I think it's worth the 15 minute drive for me and will be back soon!

I asked to do square white dip powder and my nail tech wasn't willing to do what I wanted. I got a mani and pedi and my pedi turned out great. The lady was super sweet and provided great service. My manicure tech first told me she wouldn't cut down my nails shorter after I had asked her to which she responded "it'll look ugly". I understand for specific nail shapes like almond a specific length is required to achieve that look but not for square. I then told her about how my family owns nail shops and she proceeded to make a comment about how it's a chop shop based on its location. In any circumstance when is it ever appropriate to make that comment?? This salon is nice and it is on the pricier side but the service does not meet the price point. I had multiple witnesses as well who can attest to these comments since I went with my friends. My square shape also came out wide, bulky, and ugly. I had to refile and reshape themselves. I can't speak for everyone but that was my experience at Blush and I won't be back.

I usually show some inspo pics and Mandy does a great job to make my nails come out the way I would like. She has explained how different pictures use different techniques, how colors blend to get the look you might like and also that each hand and nail is unique so you can own your own! I usually get compliments every month I change up the look. Plus, if you're wondering after looking at the pics, believe me that these are my real nails with gel/dip. I was looking for a salon that would allow me to maintain the quality and health of my nails without compromising for beauty. This salon was just that. Hannah has been my nail tech throughout these past 4 months and has been amazing. She takes her time with my nails and is committed to maintaining the health and strength of them. They've grown so long and healthy and she's easily the best tech I've had in my life. I took a break from getting my nails done recently, but decided to come in this weekend to get a pedicure for our upcoming vacation. I made an appointment for 9:45am and was immediately greeted and seated at a pedicure station - I was also offered water too. I went with the Deluxe Pedicure which was $42 + extra for the Gel polish. The lady who did my pedicure was very friendly while taking her time - she did a great job! They're very personable at Monet Spa which I also like - the owner remembered my name and that I'm married and have a daughter. The staff is always so grateful to see you back too! Overall, I'm glad I decided to come back and give them another chance. This is definitely my new favorite nail salon!
