The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because the kid working the register seemed angry and made us feel awkward about ordering. I ordered a chicken teriyaki salad through the drive-thru and was asked if I wanted extra teriyaki sauce. I said "sure" but didn't receive any, and as I was eating, realized there was no sauce on the chicken, as well. I was somewhat confused, so I contacted them back. Automatically assuming I wanted a refund, the young women I spoke with basically told me I got what I paid for and wasn't going to do anything because she wasn't the one who took my order. I then tried to explain that this doesn't make me want to come back there, but she seemed not to care. As for the food, the salad didn't taste quite right and I ended up having a mild upset stomach for the rest of the day. read more

The salad dressing on their small salad-- which also appears on your " plate" meal--is Amazingly Yummy! I liked it so much I went through the Drive thru a second time to order another one. This Teriyaki is some of the best in the portland area. Their dressing for the salad is amazing and the portions are huge! They also have a video poker room, beer, and a espresso machine. What more could you ask for. This place rocks. read more

This is a weekly go to spot for lunch. I get the #1 chicken bowl 9 out of 10 times. Staff is always friendly. Pricing is fair. Food is always awesome. If going between 12 and 1 it is best to call in your to go order. They can be very busy. read more

Never have had any problems till recently. Food is Good and the establishment is clean. I came is recently and one of the long time servers was blowing her nose near the cash register. She was not making the food but was serving and pouring drinks. She did not wash her hands at any time after blowing her nose. I am giving a low rating due to the lack of hygiene and professionalism by this server. read more

Today Feb 1st @ 1:30pm, my wife and I ate here and ordered the teriyaki chicken and rice bowl. The waitress tried to serve us the order that had been sitting for several minutes not to mention it was cold. Very disappointed!!! read more

Du's sold out to the coffee barn tobthe north, 2 blocks down the street. It's not the same, not bad, just barely ok. The original Du's on Sandy blvd rocks. I'll go there from now on... It's worth the trip. read more

My husband and I love this place and have been coming here for years when it was a little place on the corner down the road. I had called in my order and requested my salad not be placed with the hot food and the dressing on the side. I guess I should be happy they got half of it right. But when I went in there was a small line forming and we had to wait 10 minutes just to pay for my order. One waitress was vacuuming (at 6:30?!?!) which was really loud and causing the family behind me to yell at each other to figure out what they were ordering and there was an obvious wait for the drive through which was empty when I walked into the building. I could see my order sitting on the counter all while the staff was busy but not seeming to do much of anything at the same time. When the one server was done vacuuming she finally came over to run my card, usually I tip pretty well even with a to go order. But I had a feeling I should inspect it before I run back home. The food was ice cold and of course the salad was soggy and gross, even before I left he building. I had to ask for another bag since the server thought it would be a good idea to stuff everything into one bag. I just left and probably won't be coming back anytime soon. HUGE disappointment since we love the place. BTW open toe shoes is a huge no no and exposed armpits are as well when serving food. Wearing a dress to work as a server is not the best idea either. Been a server and a service manager for over 20 years, my expectations are pretty reasonable for a Teriyaki joint, but witnessing so many health code violations with just one person really has turned me off from this place. read more

I ate there Thursday night and got really sick. Ended up in hospital with food poisoning. Raw chicken too blame. My husband and 15month old baby ended up in the hospital also. Called then to complain and they didn't even care or call me back. Will never easy there again. read more

The spicy chicken teriyaki is good. The quality is good, but portion sizes can be inconsistent. Most of the staff are great. There are 1-2 employees that seem to be more focusrd on checking their text messages on their phones than promptly serving their customers. read more

I am a regular at KB Teriyaki Grill and have been for 8 years. However I really can't help but be just a little disappointed by what I might call a decline in service and satisfaction. # 1 the tables feel sticky to me, they look clean but you know when you set you phone down and it doesn't slide across the table very easily. #2 I order the same exact thing every time I go and every time I go I can see more and more of the plate, they seem to be shrinking. #3 I went in this week and it was freezing in there (brrrrrrrr!) #4 the restroom floor has got that slippy slimy feel. You know when your feet just keep slipping out from under you. I felt gross after using the restroom. Anyway I will continue to go because I like the food and they do have excellent service. The food comes right up. But I am writing this with the hope that they read it and make a few improvements so it will continue to be a great little place to have lunch..... read more

Salad dressing was excellent, but the teriyaki chicken needs more teriyaki sauce. Otherwise pretty OK spot.

For the past 10+years, my entire family and friends have raved about KB teriyaki. We were skeptical when they merged with coffee barn but the food was just that delicious we went with it! Things have been pretty good off and on with the people working there either there very good or horrible but I put up with it for the food! Well now they are getting orders completely wrong and refusing to make it right and the one manager Emily I believe, is the worst person to be representing a business and I'm afraid I have to quit going to this location. There is another location with much better service overall on Sandy Blvd and I will drive out of my way to do business elsewhere! We will no longer rave about this place and will refer people elsewhere! Clean house with your staff and bring customer service back and we might try you're location again read more

This place has got the stuff. That spicy chicken bowl has me reeling in the best way. Outstanding service and flavor. My family and I enjoy this as opposed to all the fast food restaurants in the area, only problem is once in awhile the food is a little burnt but still is good. We enjoy this place and will continue to eat here. I recommend the chicken and pork platter the salad dressing is good and it's just plain and simple with good flavor. Horrible service, its not even authentic Japanese food and its more of an imitation food. Since when does it take 15 minutes to get a small bowl of Miso soup at the drive thru when theres no cars in front of you? Two times already! one inside and the drive thru! I love the service here... I wished Corrine worked more there she was our favorite waitress.. =) However the other gals are great too! We love Christine too... We go there all the time and love their Teryaki Bowl for just a few cents over $4.00 you get a huge bowl of rice and chicken you can't beat the deal... We are there every Friday & Saturday night for the Poker League.. It is FREE to play and it is with a great bunch of people... Bob Perkins is the guy that runs it there and he does an amazing job!! So go there with your friend or your significant other at 7pm on a Friday or Saturday night and get some great food too! Everyone deserves a FUN night out.. =) read more

I love that they have a drive thru so I don't have to get out of my car! :) it sometimes can take a while but it isn't fast food so I understand. First time here, atmosphere isn't bad, customer service was a two at best. Got the beef teriyaki, really weird grainy texture...pot stickers were good. The meat had ok flavor but pretty dry and like I said, weird ass texture. I basically just ate the noodles. Not shabby, but not that great. read more

This was horrible. Ordered the teriyaki beef and about spit it out on the first bite. It was flavored with beef jerky seasoning not teriyaki. The rice was mushy, not quite porridge but not good rice. My wife found several thin small hairs in her meat which was the topper. Had I not taken it to go, I would have asked for a refund. We will not be back and cannot recommend it. GREAT FOOD - Terriyaki chicken and rice bowl, price for what you get, it can't be beat !!! food is yummy and tender and taste good. The salad has a nice flavor but not all to impressed with iceberg lettuce. - Over all I eat here a few times a month and really enjoy there food on the go.
