Stolen items after using their service. Be aware. I booked their service using UHaul and saw that they had no reviews there. I didn't let that deter me from booking them because I thought they were simply new and just starting. During our move, I caught one of the 2 helpers photographing the content of one of our bags. After confronting him, he said he was using his phone and not photographing the content of the bag. I know he was lying because the camera flashed a couple of times. Later, we realized out that same bag was missing 2 pairs of shoes. read more

I thought it would take only 2 hours to move, so I asked the owner if he could serve me for 2 hours. He was rather angry with me about the price he had previously set. He said that "Why are you arguing with me with the price I set?" I believe my choice of not using this business was the best, seeing him answer very aggressively and rudely, even though I asked questions I could ask. read more

Matt B. and I moved into a new place on March 10, and we could not have done it without KBS. Moving is a pain in the ass, and while it was stressful, KBS did most of the work. Koreatown Best Service indeed. On the morning of moving day, KBS showed up at my parents' house in the valley to take 1) bedroom furniture and 2) several boxes of books, and they took less than an hour to finish up there and come back out to Los Feliz. We got a few boxes ready at Matt's apartment, but that was only a fraction of the work. José and José were a dream team. They showed up and went to work on the furniture, dismantling this, wrapping that. They were very efficient and very professional. I've never seen anyone wrap shit in tape with such speed. The more delicate stuff, like the TV and the KitchenAid, they wrapped in soft blankets, and everything made it to our new place unharmed. And oh my goodness, the Josés were so strong! They lifted furniture and huge boxes of books like they were nothing. The only time I saw them struggle was when they had to get my mom's giant dresser up a narrow flight of stairs. Even that, they got the job done in maybe three times the time it would take to move a couple of blankets. The whole ordeal took a little over four hours, and since they'd estimated five, we paid them for five. KBS charged us $80 per hour, which I thought was plenty reasonable. On top of being competent, efficient, and professional, José and José were friendly, all-around likable guys. If I had to move again, I'd turn to KBS and ask for Team José. read more

Rudest people ever. Why? 1. Asks how much you paid for your property. 2. Looks around into every room when he's not even moving anything and leans on your new white cabinet and is using your electricity to charge his phone. 3. The workers are nice but 1 wasn't wearing a mask until you ask them to. 4. Charges you an extra 1/2 hour and tells me a sad story about if they didn't charge by the hour, they can't make $. 5. Our condo requires a signed documentation from the moving company to ensure no damages happen but the owner started yelling at us complaining why he needs to do all that. These people showed up 3 hours late and the owner did not once apologize nor would he budge to give us even a $5 discount for being so late. The owner is by far the rudest person I've ever dealt with in my life. I don't understand how someone so rude to his own customers can run a business. The actual moving guys were nice, however, I felt as if they could have handled my boxes with more care. One of my jewelry stands broke during the move. There are so many other moving companies in k-town that are reliable, cheaper, and have 100x better service that can do the job. Unfortunately, the place I used for my last move (Gabo Moving Company, $70/hr for 2 people) were booked for the day I had to move out, and KBS was the only available company. A total rip off. When we asked about mileage charge over the phone, he had mentioned that there wouldn't be any extra charge. They WILL charge you every single thing after they finish the move. There was nothing special about them but charge way more than other moving companies owned by Korean. I also find them unprofessional because one of the people used the restroom twice without asking and the way they've handled the boxes/furnitures were very rough. Look elsewhere. read more

KBS Moving Inc. is fast, professional and budget-friendly. I called KBS (Korea-Town Best Service) in an emergency after realizing we couldn't move our new furniture ourselves. I called them 12hrs before we needed them and they showed up bright and early the next morning. They provide blankets and wrapping for large furniture, and are extremely efficient. They are also cheaper than NorthStar, although not by too much, but if you're into saving money, then every little bit helps. Their rates are $100/hr for 3 guys and 1 truck with a 3hr minimum. I got an extra discount, but that only increased their tips. I am definitely going to be calling them again when we move into our new place next month, and will update my review if needed, but so far so good. read more

Never use again. Guy tells me 70/hr over the phone and 4hrs min. It was only 1 bedroom. They show up and it costs 80/hr. I call and he cant seem to recall our converstation. Either way I had no choice. So I got stuck paying 80/hr for 4 hrs when the whole job was only 2hrs total (including travel time) Nice workers though. read more

They are moving pros. How they got my couch through my old timey door, I'll never know. But they asked me to go buy them water several times and a large tip for doing their job that I paid them to do. Get your own water, get your own food, and take the tip I give you! Oh, they also took their sweet ass time so they can milk the clock and they forgot an item in their truck and expected me to pick it up from them. Expect to pay $100 more than the price you're quoted to buy them lots of water and a big tip. I'll try a different company next time. read more

WOW - the guys from this company were AMAZING! They arrived on the dot at 8am, quickly and efficiently wrapped and loaded our 1BR onto their giant truck (has a built in lift), got to our new apt and unloaded and unwrapped super fast again and were very conscientious about taking all the trash etc. The lead man Alex was phenomenal - great energy esp for so early in the morning! The fee was exactly as expected. Moving is stressful and we moved last year so the thought of doing it all over again was not fun but these guys made it pain free. HIGHLY recommend! read more

I've been lurking on yelp for years and nothing has moved me enough to write a review..UNTIL NOW. If you need movers, go with KBS. Save yourself the headache, the money, the time, and call them up right now. RIGHT. NOW. I've moved countless times and it's never been this easy. We hired 2 guys for $80 bucks an hour (3 hour minimum) but when they showed up they threw in a 3rd guy for free for the first hour! We had an Ikea bed that needed to be disassembled in order for it to fit through the doorway and I was worried that taking it apart would take up most of the time, but alas, I was wrong. 10 minutes later it was disassembled and in a neat package to be moved. We also had a monstrous couch that previous movers had not been able to get into the elevator.. which means we had to pay them $50 more to carry it up 12 flights. But FEAR NOT! KBS was able to skillfully fit the couch into the elevator and we were saved a good 30 minutes in time and $50 in cash. Our enormous, ancient 500 pound TV was another cause for concern. When I first picked it up off Craigslist it took the strength of three grown men and me to carry it away. Jose and Jose amazed me by skillfully grasping the sides of the TV and lifting it in one go. I was awestruck. You know those moments where a baby gets trapped under a car and the mom gains superhuman strength to lift the car off the baby? It was just like that. What else can I say??? They definitely finished in under 3 hours. No cause for concern there. They thoroughly wrapped every furniture item in blankets and tape, they disassembled and reassembled our beds, and they provided us with boxes to use in our move, FREE OF CHARGE. You can't get all off the above for that low of cost anywhere. Needless to say I was very happy with KBS and I will most definitely use them again in the future. read more

If I could give this business a ZERO I would. I have hired professional movers tons of times and usually go with one particular company but they were completely booked. So as a last resort and out of desperation, I called KBS. At first, they were great, they showed up 15 minutes early. I got a pretty decent price on 3 guys. It all went downhill after we packed up all the stuff from my old place to go to the new place. FIRST, one of the movers asked us to buy the three of them lunch. I was like, you're not the only one who's hungry here! We're all hungry. Let's go to the new place, unload my stuff and then I will give you tip so you can buy your own food. Unfortunately they asked the same question to my husband who is much nicer than me apparently. He says to them, you guys want me to buy you some burgers? They had the audacity to say, no we want burritos. I was like, what the F*#$? Beggers cannot be choosers and who the hell asks to get lunch during the middle of a move? THEN, of course we have friends who help us move too right? This one PERV is giving all the girls this NASTY look. Like the, I'm going to rape you in your sleep look. He was seriously the most disgusting person on this planet. THEN, when they finish unloading I'm getting ready to pay them with a check. The PERV tells me (not asks me) to go to the bank and to pay him in cash. I was like, you're kidding me right? I literally laughed because I thought he was kidding. Well, it turned out he wasn't because he called the owner, that everyone here on yelp is complaining about, and the owner says to me, wait you don't have cash? I was like, if you told me ahead of them to pay you in cash, then would I be on the phone right now? He never ever asked me once to pay him in cash. And as an owner, don't you want your workers to get paid in check? Cash can be stolen!! The owner is such an idiot. And I decided that as long as I had him on the phone, I would let him know the lunch incident. He says, well were you planning to give them tip? I said yes and he asks how much? I said $40 total. Then he has the freaken audacity to say, you know they usually get tipped $20 each. I was like, what the F*&@? I gave them some cash and told them to get the hell off my property. Please Do Not use this moving!!! My husband and I move a lot and we used many different moving companies and I can tell you for sure this is the worst!!! We asked them to move some furniture to throw out to the dumpster, the movers refused it. The movers didn't speak English and went to a wrong address, my husband tried to talk to them that they are at the wrong address but they couldn't understand!! I had to find my employee who speaks Spanish to make them understand what they are doing wrong. In the meantime, we called the company numerous times, of course, he didn't answer and picked up phone right away when he asked for payment. The movers also refused to install our brand new refrigerator, washer and drier saying they have been told not to install by their employer. We had to buy them lunch like other people mentioned here before and they asked us to pay with cash!!! Yesterday, we spent all day installing the refrigerator which was very risky doing it with a petite person, me and my husband who has disc problem. Just moved with them in early April, loved the way they do their job from getting estimates to the end of the job. Got to know about them searching thru web. I called them and a couple of other moving companies to get an estimate, they were the only one to come out to see how much stuff I am moving, therefore they were able to give me more specific $## while others were only saying how much per hour it would cost me, which didn't help much as I dont have any idea how long it would take and i cannot decide the speed of their work (if they choose to work inefficiently and slowly, it would just cost me more). So i got to trust them more than others from the beginning. When negotiating the #, my husband and I knew and kept in mind that we had to buy them lunch on the moving day, so that was not a problem for us unlike other customers who had to spend the unexpected expense. I chose their Semi-packing and moving (they would pack and move everything in our old place from the scratch, and leave the packed boxes in the new for us to unpack). so only thing my husband and I had to do is just take the valuable stuffs with us in our car. On the moving day, they were 20 minutes late, and I felt worried as they didnt show up on time, but the owner (who came to give me the estimates) told me that they were in an accident on the way and the job would be done as we made our agreement. I was surprised that the owner came himself with three of his staffs to do the actual packing and moving because I was told by other moving companies and some reviews said that only the staffs come to do the real job. This was a Plus for me as I knew if something goes wrong during the moving I could directly talk to who is in charge right then and there. Also, I was advised by friends to count how many boxes in total were moving because many times things get lost on the way, etc. I wanted to take their advise and count, but with a 2-year old and 2 dogs, it was not possible to keep track. Plus, they were really fast in packing and moving if I did insist in counting the boxes, I would have just slowed them. Anyway, we did NOT LOSE ANYTHING. My husband and I were very satisfied with their job and have recommended them to our friend who was also moving soon. I would recommend them to any other friends, too. read more

KBS move us from a 2 BR 2 BA 3rd floor apartment to a duplex a couple of miles away. They were fast and efficient and did not waste time at all. Daniel was able to put our cat into it's carrier when we could not get near her (and he's allergic to cats) Most of our stuff was boxed but some of it was loose but they just gathered it up. Moved our upright piano also for $50 extra. The price was reasonable for 3 movers. read more

Everybody knows that moving is no fun and its major headache. So this time I decide to get help from Yelp. After reviewing all the reviews I decided to go with KBS. I noticed there were two bad reviews but KBS had a more good reviews then bad reviews. So, I took my chances. Bull's Eye!!!! I was soooo right!!!! They showed up promptly and on time ready to go. I show them what I have and they start wrapping my furniture with their blankets in no time. One thing I didn't expect was for them to wrap my dresser and my keyboard. I thought they were going to just load in their truck. They even helped me with the packing using their own boxes with free of charges. I was very impressed that they went out of their ways to care for my stuff. Once they arrived at my new place I was impressed again, how quickly they unload and unpack my stuff. It was amazing how fast they were. Thanks to their quickness I had enough time to unpack and went out with my friends that night instead of stuck at home and unpack my stuff. I really thought the moving was going to be one of my bad experience but it turned out to be a piece of cake thanks to KBS moving. If I have to move again I will definitely use KBS for sure. I used Kbs Moving to move from Koreatown to Santa monica. My friend recommended this company and i was truly impressed. They showed up on time all the material and wardrob box were included in the hr price. Which was $100 hr with 3 hr min. it cost me $600 and i live in 3 bedroom house. All the mover were professionals. $100 included 3 guys and all material. which i think is good deal. all other moving companys charge hidden fee. I recommend Kbs to everyone. read more

The movers were supposed to arrive at 8am, but they came at 8:15am, finished moving at 3:30pm. The owner told me people usually buy the workers lunch, therefore, I was nice enough to buy all three workers lunch. I purposely timed their lunch for them to eat on the truck on the way to my new place, as i did not want to pay for lunch AND their lunch break because i am paying by the hour. Besides, do i really need to buy lunch AND pay by the minute while they eat?! Big mistake on my end! They ate for 15 minutes inside my garage prior to my next destination. I waited for them to finish eating then we were off to my new place. They got lost on the way to my new place and took 35 minutes to get to a destination that should've taken 20minutes at the most. If you calculate the time when they started and ended, it took 7 hours and 15 minutes, but they got lost on the way, took 15 minute lunch break, plus they were 15 minutes late! I explained that to the owner who decided to charge me an extra hour for going over 15 minutes. I told him it's only fair to charge 7 hours instead of 8 due to these reasons. How can you charge someone for the full hour, when technically, I didn't go over 15 minutes!! He said even if you go over a minute, they charge full hour. A full hour costed me extra $100!! Do not use this company! And do not buy movers lunch as they do not appreciate AND you will get charged extra for their lunch break!! I will never use this company again! read more
