We live in a 3 story townhouse. 1-2 years ago, we hired ASAR Moving to hoist our sofas and they did a really good job. It left a great impression that we called them for a second time to hoist our new TV. We also had them swap our fridges from the garage to the 2nd floor. The hallway is narrow and they needed to detach and reattach the doors to make it fit. It was tough, but somehow they managed to do it safely without major damages. Now this is what you call magic! ASAR was a life saver. We needed to clear out our living room Asap on MEMORIAL DAY and I called the day before and Adam was able to pencil us in no problem. It was a small job but they treated it professionally and got it done quickly. Daulet and Daniel called to let us know they'd be a few minutes late but that was no problem at all. They got straight to work and wrapped everything up perfectly and took great care of my furniture. They finished packing in an hour and then drove to storage unit and unpacked everything really quickly. TLDR: No hesitation, would definitely hire them again. My stuff was packed super fast, easy, with no hiccups whatsoever. I'm not used to hiring help with anything. I usually move my things really slowly over time with car trip after car trip and/or finagle family and friends into helping. But I'm in my 30s now and have accumulated more stuff than I thought I had. Also it's HOT moving in the summer. So I tried them out and after this, I would hire them again in a heartbeat because it's just worth it. Repeat user here. I first got started with this company just after the pandemic and I was blown away with how quickly they moved. Since then, I've been sure to utilize their service, anytime I have a move. They're always sure to protect my items but their speed is what keeps me coming back. There is a 3 hour minimum, as is with most moving companies, and a very low gas fee but to give an idea of what the most recent experience was: I needed help packing two-1 bedroom apartments, stopping at one additional location to pick up a few things then moving it all one location. They got it all done in 4 hours. This is my go to company and I highly recommend their services. read more

Overall they did a good job and everything was handled with care. What I had a hard time with is the amount of time it took for them to move what was less than the equivalent of a one bedroom. There were only two large items and the remainder were boxes, but it took them four hours on the first leg of the trip, and three on the end. Then they doubled the drive time for a total of 9 hours. I have never had a move take that long in my life - and the only explanation is that they charge hourly, so they get more money this way. That feels exploitative and I won't use them again for that reason. Also, they asked to take smoke breaks. read more

Hired three movers for a one bedroom and studio move into a two-bedroom (all within a two block radius). The communication prior to the appointment was minimal. They made a typo on one of the addresses which I had to correct them on. (Attention to detail) My overall complaint with this company was their time management. It seemed like they took much longer to move our things than I'd ever experienced with any other moving company. A total of 8+ hours was something we were not anticipating. Some of our things they handled without care resulting in a few ripped or broken items (rug pad and tripod, respectively). Moving day came and the crew of three men were awesome! I've never seen a crew so efficient and thorough. Shrink wrapping my beloved personal items, art, furniture with expertise and care. We had two additional stops to make before the final destination and they navigated the journey with ease. I recommend them 1,000%. THEY ARE EXCELLENT!!! You won't regret this choice!!! My 2 daughters and I were not packed completely when they arrived to assess the situation. They asked a few questions and left, then reappeared to begin transporting boxes to the truck... moving swiftly. When they cleared the way they came in with wardrobe boxes. They saw a beveled mirror leaning against the wall, picked it up, wrapped it in a tarp and packed it with our throw pillows. Our living room suite is mirrored with glass lamps and all was wrapped and transported with care. Our beds were disassembled and reassembled at the new home and setup to our specifications. Our living room was setup as instructed and they even remembered where to place the subwoofer. I'm telling you, they are quiet, soft spoken, mild mannered, and patient, but they ask questions and follow instructions to the 'T'. Oh! Did I say stress free? ABSOLUTELY!!! Adam was incredibly responsive and helpful and when we couldn't get the job done in one day he was able to send a crew back out on a same day request to help us finish. The movers themselves were nice enough. The reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that the guys were supposed to dissassemble and reassemble furniture, and they only sort of did. My desk has parts that are put on obviously backwards and forced on anyway, causing them now to be bent. Our power recliner couch and chair was not secured at all properly and now is broken further because we didn't realize it until it was too late. I'm not sure if we will be able to fix it or not. It is a very expensive leather sofa. My antique barrister bookcases were broken and no one mentioned it. Several other pieces of furniture are missing hardware. It will be difficult for me to replace some of it as it is on vintage items. Other items were also broken apparently just due to being put on the bottom of large stacks of boxes. We are still unpacking and will likely find more of these issues. If I weren't so grateful for the last minute help and so short on time in general, I'd probably request an insurance claim to pay for repairs. I'm really sad, but while recovering from a broken leg and needing to move quickly due to mold in our old apartment, I guess we get what we get, even $4k+ later. read more

After two big apartment moves, I learned hiring movers is always worth the cost. After getting some quotes back, ASAR had some of the most competitive pricing without all the extra costs tacked on. We needed to move two separate apartments in the same building to a condo 10 miles down the road. We had three guys total and they went to work! They arrived on time and brought a large truck. Recently moved to a new house, and I had some concerns moving because we were going from a single level to a two-story. To make it more complicated, our new staircase is somewhat narrow and has a tight turn that looked like it might be a challenge to navigate with furniture. As much as possible, I wanted to avoid hiring movers because I'd rather save the money and also save myself from the horror stories we've heard from other people about their things being damaged and broken in the process. But, the difficulty of getting a desk, some dressers, a bed & frame, and a fold out couch up the stairs got me to give in and bite the bullet (and save myself almost certain injury). My wife and I searched around and saw that ASAR had great reviews, so we reached out. They were quick to respond, professional, accommodating, and offered the best rate we could find for a moving company that appeared to have a decent sample size of positive reviews. The day of our move, we were helped by Austin, Akmal, and David. The crew was super professional and efficient. Once we figured out the route they wanted to take from the house to their truck, they got to work and had our things secured and loaded way faster than I expected. And I should mention that they had all the moving blankets and tape and gear needed to make sure our things were safe in transit, and we didn't have to provide anything as far as supplies. Just as quickly as they packed up our things from our previous house, they had our things unloaded and settled right where we wanted in our new home. Again, taking great care to make sure our belongings and new home weren't damaged in the process. All in all, the process took almost half the time I was expecting it to take, and we couldn't be happier with how easy it was to work with ASAR. I shudder to think of the stress that comes with moving again, so I think we'll avoid that process again for at least a few years.
