The waiter was super nice and gave us recommendations so we ended up ordering the beef sambosa, the kabuli palow with chicken, the kebab combination ii, and the okra. Loved the beef sambosa, the waiter actually brought them out for us to try before we ordered and told us to eat it with the spice condiments on the side with a white sauce. Very delicious! The okra was delicious and paired well with the rice. The kabuli palow had raisins and pistachios in the rice that was really delicious and added a nice sweet and savory element. The meats for the kebab combination were all delicious, spiced, and juicy. The waiter also gave us chickpeas which were so flavorful and would definitely recommend! Such a great place and even better service! Will be back soon!

Maybe we've been spoiled by our favorite restaurant back in St. Louis (Afghan Kabob House) but Ariana's was underwhelming. The server was friendly but the food was just ok. Pricey due to the location as expected but also underwhelming taste wise. We got the aushak, mantu, and kadoo bolanee (pumpkin curry with bread). All three surprisingly looked very similar (photos look almost identical as they had the same sauce drizzled with yogurt). The aushak has leeks inside while the mantu has beef. The beef was drier than we were used to and the aushak less flavorful with overpowering onion. The pumpkin was cooked in what looked like the same sauce as well but the baked bread it came with was good. They did offer complimentary chickpeas which were tastier however. Maybe other items on the menu would've been better picks!

I do think they do as good of a job managing it as possible, but it is still quite the long line. If you do decide to wait in the line, I recommend sending a friend over to Magnolia Bakery to get you a treat while you pass the time. Overall, the lamb and chicken were extremely tender and flavorful. The sauce and rice were great as well, complementing them perfectly. The service is very efficient, and they do have a few cards set up to maximize the efficiency. It was great, and I'd say it's worth trying if the line is short! Otherwise, I would pivot to another nearby great option that you can easily find.

I get the chicken and gyro mix with spicy rice. Rice is not spicy don't worry. Also their chicken is like marinated unlike some other halal carts. I get all sauces except bbq. The gf does all the sauces except red sauce cause that one IS spicy One time they accidentally put fries on my plate but now it's a non negotiable for me. Ask for it on the side if you don't want it to get soggy. If I'm feeling extra big back I throw some falafel on that shi too. If you wanna skip the line, just order on Grubhub. It's more expensive yes but worth it if you're not tryna wait an hour

Savoring Our Exquisite Mediterranean Dining Experience at Akdeniz :…read more Nestled in the cozy heart of the Theater District at 43 West 46th Street, eleven friends and I savored an exquisite meal at Akdeniz Mediterranean Cuisine. This popular haven for theatergoers offered us a sophisticated spread of fresh seafood, expertly grilled meats, and authentic appetizers. Our favorites included Pita Bread, Pickled Cabbage, Chicken Shish Kebab, Hummus, Shepherd's Salad, Babaghannous, Eggplant with Sauce, Falafel, Greek Salad, Lamb Shish Kebab, Stuffed Vine Leaves, Mediterranean Salad, Shepherd's Salad, Zucchini Pancakes, and Baklava. With its blend of exceptional food, an inviting atmosphere, and personalized service, this is one special restaurant that we will want to return to after our next Broadway musical. Akdeniz was the perfect Midtown setting to share a meal and vibrant conversation with amazing poet and educator Susan Gimignani Lukas.

I thought the staff was nice, but there was no hostess to greet us when we arrived. My friend and I got the large appetizer platter and the manti to share, and that was more than enough for us. I really enjoyed their stuffed vine leaves, hummus, and babaghannous. I was disappointed in their lebni because it was too watery. The pita was just okay. The manti was so delicious and I was so glad we ordered that as our entree. Overall, I enjoyed the food and would recommend this place if you're ever craving Turkish food.
