The pakistani food served here is as authentic and as close to one can get outside of Pakistan. The cooks are from the native country and their style of cooking and flavors are absolutely original. We tried mutton kadhai and chicken tikka roll. The dishes were flavourful and had a fine balance of spices. The owner is very humble and serves with care. The only downside to this place is that it is in a little non descript mall which is on the main road. You could even order via food delivery service as well. So mixed feelings about this place. The quality of the ingredients such as the chicken was good but the dishes themselves were just okay. Not overly drenched in oil which I appreciated. However the chicken biryani had too much food coloring which had a taste to it, somewhat tasted like malai. And the Karahi chicken tasted more like chicken achar. My coworker and I were very excited to try this place! We came here on a Friday to pick up lunch right when they opened. The host was very friendly. We ordered the beef kebob roll. And while waiting for our rolls to be made, the host was very efficient and rang us up while we were waiting. The restaurant was a decent size, but they def need to turn on the air as it was getting really stuffy inside. Welp, the roll was a decent size, but it was mostly the naan bread. Very affordable The roll is made with a naan as a wrap. I bought this to eat while driving, like a burrito...it didn't work well. The reshemi soaks thru the Naan pretty easily and it didn't hold up. We came here because the reviews mostly raved about how amazing the food was. We got the shami kebab, beef seekh kebab roll, chicken biryani and a milk tea. The shami kebab was a little chewy. And more oily than I would've liked. With the chutneys, it tasted better, but would've liked the minced beef minced better. The roll was very good. The kebab was good, the naan was soft and the accompanying tomatoes, onions, chillies and cilantro we're good additions. Again with the chutney, it tasted really good. Could've done with more spice. The biryani was ok. We have had better biryanis in San Diego. No faults, just not mouthwateringly outstandingly fantastic. The chicken was well cooked. But it tasted more like pulao than a biryani with attacking flavors. The tea was good. An extra 0.5 stars to our server, who was very sweet . I have always been lucky using Yelp reviews to select restaurants. Earlier this evening was a miss. A colleague wanted to have an Indian meal so we tried Kebabish for the 1st time. The restaurant was quiet on a Sunday evening so there was no problem getting a seat. We started with a Vegetable Samosa, I ordered the Chicken Tikka Boti, my colleague ordered the Special Mixed Daal and of course, we requested two orders of Naan bread. The vegetable samosas arrived quickly, perhaps a bit too quickly. The outside of the samosas were very hot, however, the centers were still ice cold. They needed a few more minutes in the oven. My colleague's main course was well done. The naan bread was especially well received with his Mixed Daal. My Chicken Tikka Boti was way too dry and needed some type of sauce. Visited recently and a few months ago during the day time and the service was good. We were given menu's right away. Once we ordered there was a decent wait time, but it was well worth the wait. This is one of the two only Pakistani restaurants in San Diego, while there are many Indian Restaurants to choose from. The meat here is 100% halal which is even harder to find and the meat is usually higher quality and it shows in the taste. I highly suggest the nihari (slowly cooked beef broth eaten with bread), chicken biriyani, and the chicken tikka masala for a variety of flavors to choose from. Also make sure to order some additional garlic naan to go with these plates. This place has amazing and authentic food rich with all kinds of ingredients. They are quality! They have great service as well and are willing to accommodate! Very friendly, they made my 4 year old fresh french fries since he doesn't eat spices. We tried the shami kabob, chicken tikka masala, and nehari. All hands down the best 10/10. The chicken tikka masala is the most unique and we drive all the way from LA just for that! We take an extra to go! This place has really improved and I am very glad they have changed their style.
