We had very specific requirements as to what the heat pump should be able to do. We previously had a Bosch installed and it works beautifully, meeting our needs. He said yes to everything. As it turns out, it does nothing that he said it could do. He obviously does not know the system. We had bad service response times. However, when it came time for payment they were amazingly available. (Work with our generator, work on an APP to control temperature, be able to switch to our back up heat source). The unit itself had major issues with broken parts that needed replacement and again their service was worse than awful. I would not use this company and would not purchase Mitsubishi Hyper2 heat pump.

When I called them, their rude representative claimed their GPS said he was at my house for one hour and 27 minutes. Then she hung up on me. I then check my Ring doorbell camera and got the video evidence. I wrote the company and then got a call from a "manager" who claimed their rep didn't argue with me and they were fixing it. Watch out for these crooks. If they're willing to scam me on my first small bill, imagine what they'd do to you if you did a big project with them. CROOKS. Update: Subsequent to the original post, Jeffrey F from Arctic Mechanical wrote a reply to my post, inaccurately characterizing the events, but more importantly, listing my name and home address in his reply. Failing to detect leakage BEFORE adding refrigerant is the service problem. Arctic solution is to now install a new A/C, after spending over $3,000 dollars on Arctic Mechanical service. In past, Artic quoted me a heat/hot water unit, and after accepting the quote installed a different brand. No explanation for this bait - and- switch maneuver. No longer quality service, little value, but unreliable response to emergency. Buyer beware.

Items and tools belonging to me that were borrowed during the work were not returned when requested, and communication around resolving this was dismissive rather than professional. This is something consumers should be mindful of when allowing access to their home and property. Based on the quality control, the need for repeated corrections, and how disputes and borrowed property were handled, I can no longer recommend this contractor. I'm sharing this so future customers can make an informed decision and set very clear expectations up front.

An electrician then came out but couldn't figure out how to connect things. Frank painstakingly tested all of the wires in varying combinations and while connecting and disconnecting thermostat and condenser wires to figure out the mess of wires. Eventually, he got it working. He's also an extremely nice guy, who charged something very reasonable given the amount of time he spent working everything out. We will definitely be calling Frank next time we need HVAC help.

I understand oil prices are increasing but i never would have had this oil delivered if i knew i would be paying $6.949 a gallon. If you go to a restaurant, the prices are on the menu. If you get an oil change they tell you what it will cost. You buy a dozen eggs you know how much you will be paying. It seems like they are intentionally trying to deceive you by not telling you what the cost of their product is. I called to see if they would do something for me and they offered a payment plan and a $.25 reduction per gallon. I also told them to come and pump it out and give me a refund which they would not do. Shame on you Burke for intentionally deceiving your customers. I will not be using them again.
