We literally watched a worker across from us wipe the tables and booth seats at 70%. He didn't wipe all the way to the edge. The floor was also filled with wipers and trash. When I travel, I really enjoy eating at small businesses, mostly because you get different type meals. One of my favorite breakfasts is Eggs Benedict and when I see it on a menu, I have to try it. That morning I didn't feel like Breakfast potatoes so I opted for some bacon. I also ordered the side order of Silver Dollar Pancakes. I found the breakfast very good, I just wish they didn't cook the yolks to the point of well done. I prefer them with the yolks runny. Remember, that's MY personal preference. I found the pancakes to be just to my liking. My wife had the Western Omelet which she really really enjoyed. Our waitress was very attentive to our needs. What can I say about Keke's Breakfast Cafe? There are several national breakfast chains I will NOT patronize, but of all other smaller breakfast chains, Keke's is probably my least favorite. Unfortunately, I keep trying them at different locations to see if it'll improve. Of all my Keke's experiences, and I've probably eaten at Keke's at least a dozen times, this visit was the worst. First, the restaurant, in my opinion, wasn't adequately cooled. I understand this is quite a feat in the Florida summers, but the waiting area wasn't very cool, and there was a dirty napkin tucked into my cushion. Also, I nearly missed being seated because the hostess didn't announce names very loudly. Once we were seated, I noticed the area around my booth wasn't very cool, but also there was a strange odor in the air, like motor oil. I inquired about the smell to my waiter, and he seemed confused, asking if I smelled cooking oil. I dismissed the issue, and then he asked for our drink orders. He seemed confused by my request for Coke, but after restating it, he understood. I think he was put off by my questions and seemed hesitant to come by our table. After a few minutes he did come by and take our orders. I ordered French toast AND fresh fruit. My companion ordered a breakfast combo. When my order arrived, it was clear that the waiter did not understand I wanted fresh toast AND fresh fruit, NOT French toast with fresh fruit (is it considered fresh if it is placed on hot food and dressed with powdered sugar and some type of sauce)? I do understand the confusion considering their menu item that is French toast with fresh fruit. The waiter did go back and fix my order and brought out an order of French toast and a serving of fresh fruit. There's something I don't like about their French toast. It doesn't seem deeply soaked with the mixture seeping into the bread. I'm a huge fan of brioche French toast that has been well-soaked; this isn't it. To make matters worse, the fresh fruit was the only part I actually enjoyed until I encountered some questionable strawberries that were mushy like they had sat for several days (see picture). The waiter certainly tried to redeem the situation (by admitting he should have clarified my order, checking on us after the food arrived, offering a drink to go, etc.), and I appreciate that, but in the end, I did not enjoy Keke's Breakfast Cafe, so I probably will not visit another one. read more

Who doesn't like Keke's? A great restaurant with great food for breakfast and lunch, and great portions! On weekends, there is usually a wait time for breakfast. They begin lunch service at 10:30AM, but I haven't tried their lunch options and when I do, I will follow up with a new update and a possible new rating! For breakfast, I had the three meat omelet (choice of bacon, sausage, and ham) and threw in some spinach so I can say I that I had my veggies! The omelet was packed with meat and spinach with enough cheese to stretch around my hands and wrists! I silver dollar pancakes on the side since I didn't want to be too stuffed for my day to begin, and I split a small breakfast salad and bacon with my fiancè. The breakfast salad is one of my favorite items on the menu with the granola and yogurt under the blueberries and strawberries that gets topped with honey! I never leave Keke's with a negative experience, so hopefully when I try the lunch, I have the same experience. read more

KeKe's is consistently great for breakfast. Portion sizes are large and the staff at this particular location is very friendly. My go to is the create your own combo with one pancake (which is PLENTY) and eggs with crispy bacon. One of the best breakfast I've ever had. Before going to Disneyland, my friend and I decided to have ourself filled up with some delicious ones. And this place helped perfectly! Servers were always aware of us, refilling the drinks and asking what we need, and really nice! Foods - pancakes were warned about their size, so we ordered a stack of pancake. To be honest, it wasn't easy to finish. However the taste encouraged us to finish it! The fruits were fresh and the pancake was perfectly golden brown outside soft inside :) and omelette was amazing! My boyfriend and I chose to go to KeKe's New Years day . Upon arrival the young lady asked for my name and number so she could let me know when our table was ready. I received a text about 15 minutes after explaining that our table was ready (unbeknownst to me you had to go to the counter and tell them you received a text) amidst this some people's names were called to be seated. Mine never was and a family of 3 who arrived after us was seated before us just because there name was called. Once we were seated, my drink of choice was not in stock. I quickly chose another and we ordered our food. I ordered a chocolate chip waffle, fruit cup and sausage combo. My boyfriend ordered banana nut and caramel french toast, bacon and toast combo. Both orders came from the "create your own combo" via there menu. 45 minutes after we placed our order my waffle and fruit cup came but my sausage never made it to the table. The waiter admitted that he thought i said "salsa" not sausage.... because ya know... who doesn't want salsa to dip there fruit in..... My waffle was cold and once the correction was made the sausage that finally made it to the table was as well. On the flip side my boyfriends meal was good! Once the bill came I was charged for salsa and a side of fruit. salsa $.50 and the fruit cup an insane $7.99. I spoke up and asked for my waiter to make the corrections. My $42 bill then became $47. I was still charged $7.99 for the fruit cup and now an additional charge of "egg prep" whatever that means. I was so fed up at this point with my experience. I ended up paying and leaving. Such a good breakfast spot! This place always has a wait - and for good reason. I've always gotten breakfast here, and it's never gone wrong! The waffles are great, and toppings vary to every taste. Staff is friendly and quick. They are almost always slammed so servers are running about the majority of the time, but keep it efficient and happy. The parking lot gets cramped easily. I ordered the create your own combo and decided on the granola crunch waffle with scrambled eggs, bacon, and home fries. My waffle was delicious! The bananas were plentiful. It's like I had a slice of banana in each bite of my waffle. The eggs were decent, definitely needed pepper. We received rock hard butter that came straight from the freezer to our table. When I informed our waitress that we need soft butter, she said she knows but that's how their butter is. A bit afterwards she offered to put the frozen butter under their heating lamp so that it could melt a bit. My boyfriend and I came here as our first vacation breakfast spot. I have no idea what they whip in their eggs but these omelets were so fluffy and airy. I was between either the Southwestern Omelet or the Three Meat Omelet and I went with the three meat omelet that had ham, turkey sausage, and turkey bacon. I really did appreciate having a turkey choose for my bacon and sausage because I always prefer them. It came with a side of very buttery toast, potatoes, and an orange slice. My boyfriend ordered the Southwestern Omelet that he had stuffed with their house fries and a large amount of cheese and served with a side of potatoes and a chipotle sauce. The portion size is not what you expect but it's very generous and you would either finish it all or take it to go. The minute these plates hit our tables, the aroma of all the ingredients danced in the air right in front of our faces. My only issue with Keke's breakfast menu was that there wasn't enough options to choose from. You either had to choose from waffles/pancakes or omelets. I asked for 2 to be blueberry and 1 to be plain, and the waitress took the order fine. We get the bill and we're charged for $9 order of 2 blueberry pancakes and $8 for an order of 1 plain pancake. I asked if they can modify that because it makes no sense to pay an extra $7 for less food, and the waitress said it had to rung up this way, and the manager said there's no way to change it, which is just absurd. This was a strange anomaly. The short story is that the food looks amazing and tastes like it's from a cafeteria. I began to wonder if this is a restaurant's response to the yelp age- to have aesthetically great food that's just middling in flavor and texture. It wasn't offensive at all, and the bacon and coffee were good, but the home fries were pretty bland (if pretty) and the blueberry stuffed French toast was completely uninteresting (if pretty) and the apple cinnamon waffle was okay (if pretty). The blueberries and apples were clearly fresh out of a can and it seemed like no thought was given to any flavors except the waffle batter, which had a few nice notes happening in it. I tend to come to Keke's when I'm looking for a quick breakfast. It's really not my favorite place, but it'll do. I feel like the menu is pretty limited, just different versions of the same items. (Pancakes, French Toast, Waffles, and Omelettes) I really wish there was skillets because I love those, but I always tend to just stick to the French toast combo here. I do enjoy the home potatoes, but several times they've been so greasy they're almost not eatable. They can really be hit or miss. The reason I put 2 stars instead of a higher rating is because the waitress was very rude. The entire time me and my husband were there she acted as if she was annoyed that she had to do her job. Not only did she ignore us, but when she did approach us her attitude made it clear that she did not want to provide service.
