Small diner.. very "patriotic" if you get what I mean... food was ok but I don't think I'll be back after finding other diners in the area.

We ordered the buffalo chicken egg rolls and the deviled eggs (with no bacon) as appetizers. For our new drinks we got margaritas, I got a regular margarita and my partner got a passion fruit margarita. For entrees, I had the famous fried chicken and my hubby had the meatloaf. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice, relaxed, they keep the shades lowered during the day to reduce that sun intake and it's lovely. It feels nice and relaxed in here no matter the weather outside. Again, we enjoyed the experience but the service was fairly slow. We had to pretty much know what we wanted by the next time we saw our server or flag her down to get her attention. She was waiting about 4 tables on our area. We were party of two.

Luckily there is also a car garage nearby on the next block. The bar area was pretty busy. I found open sitting with no problem. I started with the Pisco Sour. Recommend by the bar tender. That was a very nice cocktail. Then I ordered the Crab Croquet. Wow! Prepared to perfection with flavorful ingredients. The rest of my party arrived and ordered the CD Fizz. They love it. I really liked the open space and decor the bar area offers. Sam was amazing and all his recommendations hit the spot. We were then sat in the dining room. I ordered the Pork Belly S'mores. I was a little scared. I was surprised that I really enjoy the salty sweet mix. It was delicious. I then ordered the Mushroom Stroganoff. Perfectly balanced and seasoned. Generous portion and plenty of leftover. For dessert, I ordered the Kitchen Sink Cookie. It is served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I absolutely loved this dessert. Overall I really enjoyed their MD Menu. I look forward to coming back for dinner to experience their regular menu.

They had room on the patio but we wanted the air conditioning. The June specials menu looked awesome. The monthly soup is cauliflower. I had the cucumber sandwich (the cool cuke?) and asked for it toasted. Choice of side was chips, coleslaw, potato salad, etc. I had potato salad/ it was good- a little bacon in it and perfectly seasoned. My sando came out toasted but they forgot the cucumbers! Our server brought me out sliced cucumbers so I added them myself. They were a little thick. I did not know but you can ask for pickles and they're free! They dropped off a large jar of pickles. Only two of us wanted them and they toss them if you don't finish them, so I took a few home. I only ate half my sandwich. Ir was super meaty. I recommend it! And the potato salad was a hearty scoop. I can't believe all of that was only $13 plus tax and tip. What a deal. Our food came out all together and didn't take forever. We sat. We ate. We charted. A good time was had! Checks came out promptly. Our group goes to this place often and I was pleasantly surprised that the server remembered some of the gal's usual drink order. Amazing! Great place for lunch! Sandwich was awesome. I will be back.

The free pickles they give you to start are another highlight - they are always tasty and the perfect way to start lunch! I'll certainly be back to sit on their airy patio and appreciate the casual, nice service.

The cocktails were exceptional, perfectly crafted and consistent, complementing both our oysters and entrées beautifully. The Oyster Rockefeller was fresh and cooked to perfection. For our main course, we enjoyed the ribeye with Brussels sprouts and mac and cheese, and every bite was absolutely amazing. To top off the evening, we shared the chocolate cake, which was nothing short of divine. From the food and drinks to the service and atmosphere, everything exceeded our expectations. I wish I knew his name, but I loved his service. The wine and the espresso martini were really good. My girlfriend, especially like the espresso martini and its blend of liquor with the tartness. In terms of the food, it was all really wonderful. The chicken and dumplings came with this delicious sauce that I couldn't get enough off. The potato dumplings were alright, but the seasoning and mix of the sauce was perfect for the chicken. The serving size was good as well and there was barely any bone to interrupt eating it. My girlfriend said that the steak was cooked perfectly medium as they asked. The steak sauce paired really well, and they had enough for leftovers, and enjoyed it even more the day after. The Mac & cheese was alright, we just wish there had been more of a crunch to the cheese. However, we both really liked the shape of the pasta as we don't really see those as often. Also not depicted here, but we got the cocktail shrimp. My girlfriend loved this one too, specifically noting how large and cold the shrimps were. The cocktail sauce was delicious and had a nice kick to it, and definitely squeeze the lemon that comes with it on the shrimp. Since it was an anniversary, they surprised us with complimentary dessert that was phenomenal. My girlfriend doesn't really like cheesecake or coconut, but somehow loved the dessert. It's an off menu item but it blends coconut, cheesecake, and a brownie.

It's commonly known that there is an overwhelming amount of restaurants listed for Magical Dining, and The Pinery was our first choice! We have heard so many good reviews of this restaurant. Unfortunately, our visit fell short :( I want to begin with how lovely our hostess, bartender, and server was. I'm sure the reasons behind our negative experience is beyond their control. We were sat 45 minutes past our reserved dinner time. The short ribs from the main courses ran out. That was our top choice and we were saddened to learn of the sellout for the night. The bread service we ordered was terribly stale. The fried green tomato lacked taste and flavor. The shrimp and grits dish was delicious! I honestly don't think the cornbread was necessary for this dish. The tradition shrimp, sausage, grits, and gravy were perfectly paired and did not require the cornbread. The cornbread itself was part of the bread service, which lacked taste and appeared stale. The desserts were the star of the show. I was informed they make everything in house to include the desserts. Amazing job! Also, because of the delay, we were gifted an additional dessert. Thank you so much! I'd be happy to return one day to give it another shot. We had such high expectations based on the reviews we've heard from others. I also understand it was a Sunday evening, but also a business this popular could be a bit more prepared for the rush. Nonetheless, thank you for your hard work and for welcoming us.

It was really fresh and it was a nice pallet cleanser after the brussel sprouts. For my entree, I ordered the Alabama chicken. I was excited because my friend ordered this last time and I really liked it. I was underwhelmed this time. The chicken was a little dry and the fried Mac and cheese was really dry. For dessert, we ordered chocolate olive oil cake, which was very moist. We also ordered the hazelnut panna cotta, which was a special. It was good but compared to the cake, it wasn't very memorable.
