The BBQ chicken wrap is a favorite of mine whenever I eat at Kellers! The place gets packed at lunch, but you can understand why when you try their food. The servers are always very pleasant and friendly and the food is consistently good. My coworkers' obsess over the mac and cheese and the smoked turkey salad. First off: I DON'T EVEN LIKE BBQ! I don't like overly smoked foods [ahem, 4Rivers, ew!] and most BBQ sauce tastes like tangy corn syrup to me. I usually just avoid American BBQ altogether. Kellers is my exception. This is a full service restaurant and the service has always been spot on. Also, they make their own BBQ sauces and they are GREAT! They have a sweet, hot, and original. I usually use all 3. Their sides are really great and so is the chicken wrap. My only complaint is that the to-go sides can be realllly small, much smaller portion than you'd get if you dined in. My girlfriend and I tried Keller's for the first time this last weekend and I was not very impressed. Maybe it's because I lived in Texas for a long time and I hold the bar too high when it comes to BBQ. However, first impressions usually stick. Upon walking in, the A/C was set to a very low temperature, causing the metal seats to be ice cold. We were wearing shorts, so the shock of the seats on bare skin almost made us jump. It was uncomfortable enough that my girlfriend nearly went outside to sit at one of the tables out on the foyer sidewalk. A couple leaving (the only customers there and ended up chatting with us) told us that it's always cold and the wife always brings a sweater to wear. The service was pretty good, but the food... not impressed. I ordered the ribs, which came out extremely dry. I'm sure they could have fixed that if I sent them back, but I was quite hungry after a full day of activities. Nevertheless, the ribs should have never left the kitchen that way in the first place. It was very evident that they were very dry, enough so that the server was baffled when I showed her before we left. I wish the beans were more of the BBQ style rather than sweet brown sugar baked beans. Usually when I order the beans at BBQ joints, they have a smokey flavor. Not these. I ate a couple spoonfuls and left it at that. In a word...YUM! After craving some home cooked bbq, I looked no further than a different type of bbq in my area. This was my first visit here and Kellers didn't disappoint. We came during the lunch hour and with a limited seating area, make sure to get there a bit before the lunch rush. Their menu is quite large with lunch specials from sliced pulled pork, brisket and chicken to name a few. My favorite was the sliced pulled pork that comes with 2 slices of garlic bread and 3 sides! The portion size is large and I had to take a to-go box. But man... about that garlic bread! Another thing I liked was that the meat wasn't greasy...I've been to some bbq places where the meat was overall greased and it wasn't even appetizing. I also love a good mac and cheese, and Kellers is pretty darn good! They also have a few tables/chairs outside, if they get over packed. Not taking any stars away because I love this place but JEEEEESUS quit being so petty and stingy with the sauces on uber eats ‍ we used to go there often but on top of that we've ordered at least a dozen times on uber eats and EVERY time I request an extra hot bbq and EVERY time it's left out. There's other things on the menu I want to try but I can't because they don't come with bbq or they don't have the hot bbq sauce on it already and I KNOW for a fact I won't get any if I ask for it. I've had some great BBQ & Kellers is pretty decent. I'm used to fall off the bone ribs so I could pass on theirs. Other than that, I'm definitely a fan of their brisket & sliced pork. I've tried the mac'n cheese, collard greens, and baked beans & they were all pretty tasty (the greens are very vinegary though). The food was good, but customer service is downright horrendous! For my birthday, my co workers and I decided to call ahead and order our food to ensure we would make it back to work on time. After we arrived and were paying for the food we were informed that we would not be aloud to sit down and eat there. There were plenty of open tables the entire time we were there. One of my coworkers asked if it was because we weren't tipping. We would've been more than happy to do so. Still, we were rudely told we could not eat there. In addition to the horrible customer service. Two of my coworkers had to wait 40 minutes for the food they called ahead for. People came in and ordered after we arrived and received their food before my friends. When the situation was brought up to the general manager Rihanna, it was simply dismissed. My friends tried to explain how long they've been waiting. But Rihanna would cut them off every time they tried to speak. How she became the general manager, I'll never understand. You cannot speak to customers like that. Employees at Walmart have better customer service skills than her. After my coworkers finally received their food, Rihanna threw the owners phone number at us and said "You can call the owner!!" We did not ask for it. But yes, we will be calling and informing him how Rihanna (and the rest of his staff) are treating customers. read more

Worst service and restaurant I have ever been to, and not not saying that lightly. The state of the restaurant was so disgusting that the fan was dropping dust and dirt on our table and we asked them to turn it off and they never did, so we did it ourselves. Ordered 1/2 lb of brisket and 1/2 lb pulled pork along with collards and cold slaw. The brisket comes on the dry side needing one of their three sauces. Naked, it has a pretty good smoky flavor but the brisket flavor was lacking. Their vinegar / mustard with a touch of hot sauce put things right on that side of the plate. (never tried their sweet sauce) The pulled pork was moist and smoky-pork flavorful naked. Good stuff! Sauce just made it more enjoyable. The collards come in a cup sized serving along with serious hunks of pork. This is a worthy side disk if you dig collards. May be a bit salty for some but our server was asking for opinions as we were told is a new dish for them and were looking for feedback. The table vinegar sauce didn't add any bonus flavor. The cold slaw also comes in a cup sized serving and for me is a typical "meh", too wet, too mayonnaise-ie nothing unique or memorable. Add a little celery salt perhaps? Good for a cool temp side dish was about the only base it covered for me. Really wanted some fried okra... whaaa. In a city full of mediocre BBQ places, Keller's is a fantasy land. Located in a strip mall, it doesn't seem to be much from the outside. But you will notice the red neon signage blasting through the window. At that serendipitous moment, an ocular trance overcomes you. Once inside, the aluminum siding, splashes of red and green, and black & white interior immediate sets off a modern-rustic vibe. The place is cozy and very clean. And the smells emanating from the kitchen steal your senses for the next 30-45 minutes. Very hospitable staff. We tried the brisket and sliced pork. Also, the baked beans, slaw and krinkle cut fries, my boy! All were great. I love their hot BBQ sauce so much. I bought a mason jar of it for a mere $3.50! A refill of which is only $1.75. And if you like to throw back cold ones, $0.99 bottle domestic beers all day. What a deal! Highly recommended. Certainly go if you're in the area, but it's also worth driving across town for, especially on a Sunday when 4 Rivers is closed. read more

Another reviewer said that they kept everything in hand when it got busy and I very much agree. Good menu options for a quick weekday lunch, which is what this was. Ordered the sliced beef sandwich with 3 sides. Sides are small but you can double up. Cole slaw is creamy but not too much and had a little tang. Beans were solid with a bit of sweetness and a peppery bite. Beef was nice a bit lean and a little smoke flavor and good moisture. Pretty good, but not great. Two main sauce options: Sweet and Regular. The Sweet sauce had a molasses flavor which is nice. The Regular was a little spicy but not too much. Good portions of meat . Nice staff. I will be sure to try one of their other locations. Loo Review: Located in the back of the store, this is not the kind of place you can hop into if you need a quick stop. One room for each sex with a single facility in each. The rooms are actually spacious. Clean and simple, the Men's room walls were painted in a Dalmation type pattern. Odd. The entire set up is very casual and inviting. A big welcome invites one in and sets the tone for a nice meal. We ordered the Big Feast which came with generous portions of beef, pork (sliced or pulled), chicken and ribs, including garlic bread and choice of any 3 sides, we opted for beans, mashed potatoes, mac, and cheese. So I had a craving for some BBQ, this place is local so why not try it. There are two entry doors, no sign-in booth...just walk in and sit in any empty chair, a waitress will find you, eventually. Menu is massive, lots of cool items. Ordered the sampler, which includes shaved beef, shaved ham, 2 ribs, quarter chicken...plus three sides (mac and cheese. bbq beans and bacon green beans), and 2 slices of some sort of massive bread. Chicken was super dry, you have to drown it in sauce for it to be edible. Shaved Beef was cold, but as you would expect. Needs sauce for flavor. Shaved Ham was delicious but still needed sauce. Ribs are good, a bit dry and lacking meat but as expected. Mac and cheese was delicious. BBQ beans, a bit too sweet but OK. Bacon Green Beans are terrible. Like literally canned beans with crumbled bacon on top. Place was busy but even then they had 4 waitresses and the service was super slow. Food was average, nothing to rave about. Stopped by Keller's because we had been bad all weekend and just wanted to continue our downward spiral trend with some yummy ribs :) We ordered the corn nuggets, chicken wings and ribs appetizer, and the ribs lunch with cole slaw, baked beans, and green beans. The nuggets were superb. I haven't had nuggets in a while but these were darn yummy with the right amount of batter and corn. Unfortunately, the ribs were a bit overcooked. The outside (specially on the ends) were dry but the inside was moist. The bbq sauces were good as well. The food here is very good, but not top notch. Their best item to order is the whole chicken, which is the best deal. They have good lunch platters too. Service is always good and with a smile. It can get pretty busy during lunch or dinner but the staff usually has every thing under control. Their beans and slaw are very good along with most of the other menu items. Although, the one thing I really dislike about the store is that we ordered smoked turkey and it wasn't real turkey. It was a pile of sliced turkey loaf like you get at Publix. I was shocked when we got the order. The turkey was so salty that we couldn't eat it and when I wrote an email to the store manager to complain they never replied nor did we get any compensation for the horrible food. I called and left a message too but I never got a call back from the manager. We have decided never to eat here again because of this experience. This is based on me and my guy's first ever visit. First off, our server's name was Taylor and I have to say she was fantastic! Very friendly, attentive and very helpful in helping us choose our meal. We ended up with a 3 meat combo and a brisket burger. Both delish and full of flavor!
