Been eating Kelly's Corner since I was in elementary school (about to be 33). I can honestly say I've never had anything I didn't like. I don't live in the area anymore, but I still try to hit them up when I'm in town cuz I CRAVE the veggie sandwich (and I typically prefer meat in my meals). When I want something warm I love the bbq chicken sandwich or the pizza bagels. Maybe it's just the taste of childhood that makes me love it so much, but Kelly's is hands down one of my favorite sandwhich shops. read more

I finally decided to try this place out. I was not impressed, sadly. The prices they show online are different than the prices in store. The sandwiches are not that great but they charge a lot for them. Also, the owner Brian doesn't really give the best customer service. I know I may be the outlier here, but wanted to share what an unpleasant experience I had. We recently moved to the hill and we signed my son up for asummer camp that has a partnership with Kelly's Korner. I called and set up a reoccurring order for lunches on Monday and Friday for him thinking it'd be a nice treat and didn't question whether he'd like it cause the reviews here were so stellar and my son eats everything. Well, he was starving when I picked him up from camp and when I asked him why, he said the hamburger was full of gristle and he couldn't chew it so he threw it away. No big deal right? I'll just cancel the lunch order going forward and send his lunches. Well, a couple weeks later, I see my credit card and they charged me for 3 lunches. Honest mistake, right? I'll just call and they'll fix it, shouldn't be a big deal. Well, I called and spoke to Brian and he was awful. He was super defensive from the get go and tried to pretend like I was scamming them and that we received 3 lunches. Had to really go over the dates before he angrily said he would give me a "credit" as if he were doing me a favor. I clarified that I would like a refund and then he became super angry telling me he already said he'd give me a credit. I tried to explain to him I just wanted to make that it was a refund because credit to me means store credit. He then yelled at me for placing a standing order and creating this mess and hung up on me. Really was hoping to like this place but don't want my kid hungry at camp and definitely don't want to deal with an ill tempered man. Think twice before placing a standing order or trying to get help resolving issues. In hind sight, I should have just overlooked it rather than deal with someone who is so unkind and made me feel so awful. Side note- spoke with several other people at Kelly's Korner and they were all so kind and wonderful. Just avoid dealing with the curmudgeon, Brian. read more

I think I would even have to leave San Pedro for it:) Yet, the best thing about Kelly's is Kelly. Great guy. Great story. Nothing has changed in all the time I've come here. Brian keeps it like a family because it is . No pretense. Also, they hire local teens who get a chance to see what an honest days work is like. That is hard to find. Came here with my boyfriend, super cool, chill , laid back place. Rustic/vintage vibes . Brian was the coolest and nicest guy ever. We ordered from the outside and he popped his head out the window to ask us about our day and where we are from. Super mellow happy laid back guy. You gotta know what you are getting into when you go here. The General Store has three aspects: 1.) A store side with horse ridding tack and accessories, 2.) U.S. Post office, which is closing (sad but true), 3.) and Kelly's Korner, which has candy, sandwiches, drinks, and other munchies. Kelly's Korner is the perfect neighborhood stop. We get Gatorade after soccer, and sometimes we get sandwiches when we head to the park. The Kelly family is involved with the day to day operations, and are all good people, I always enjoy engaging them in conversation. I like this location because it represents Palos Verdes and has historical relevance, this place has been around a LOOOOONG time. Don't hesitate to talk L.A. He left the airline industry and started a catering business where he saved enough money to buy his own store in the late 1980's. The story of Kelly's Korner is deep and the history behind the store is even greater. The service and food are second to none.Make sure to say hello to Mr. Kelly and his son brian as they are always there. Kelly's Korner is simply the best place for sandwiches in the south bay. This is a small sandwich stand inside of Rolling Hills General Store. It is merely a walk-up counter in a place selling saddles, feed, and other horse supplies. There is a fairly extensive menu - everything from a turkey sandwich to a Chinese chicken salad to spaghetti - and an ice cream counter. There are three tables outside and one or two other benches. Or, you can always sit on the grassy lawn out front. I came in for the 7" turkey sandwich ($6). It is a soft french roll that is halved and topped with shaved turkey, shredded iceberg lettuce, sliced tomatoes, pickles, pepperocini, onions, pepper (I omitted salt), mustard and mayonnaise (I omitted oil and vinegar). The sandwich was at least three inches thick - absolutely packed. The meat is very food and the veggies are very fresh. The bread is a little weak - it is very soft; I prefer more crunch on the outside. But, it is super fast, and the staff is friendly. I think that Kelly's is better than Subway or Rinaldi's, but it is not a fancy place. Expect good, at home food with good service at decent prices. read more

Great local place for lunch after So Coast Botanic Garden with the family. Stopped in for salad, sandwiches and ice cream - all top quality! You can tell it's a very local, family-run establishment; all the people stopping in knew the people who worked there and vice versa. The staff are always courteous when I come here! I used to come here all the time when i was a senior in high school and every time I'm back home I still come here! I always get the roast beef sandwich or the turkey sandwich. All of their toppings and meats are very fresh. This is one of my most favorite sandwich spots ever! I have been eating here for approx 35+ years, but this review is for their business today. Not just my wonderful childhood memories of waking home from Dapplegrey, way back when it was a middle school, & stopping by for a warm Otis Spunkmeyer cookie and a Crazy soda concoction. My daughter has had their lunches during summer camp the past 3 years. Today, on our way to her new summer program, we drove by Kelly's, & she mentioned how much she missed their lunches. I came by at lunch time, they were super busy. Brian, the owner, made time to come out and check in on what I needed. He agreed to open 15 minutes early In order to make sure that he could provide lunches for my daughter over the next 2 weeks. Who does that? Love every sandwich I've tried. Even the turkey which normally I don't eat! The place is all cute and tiny and old timey looking. The menu has a huge selection of stuff. I got the kelly special sandwich. It has roast beef, ham and turkey in it. It also has provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, peppers, mayonnaise and mustard. It would be nice if the bread was different, like the delicious bread Leonardo's Deli has, but the sandwich is good and the small size was huge. Also got a drink and chips and it was $9.92. I must go and try their other food now. The homemade chili sounds good. And there is an egg salad sandwich special that is really cheap. read more
