Food was good. Waitress was very nice. Very expensive to begin with, and then coffee refills were full price. Not going back.

Oof. Not good. This…read moreis a classic diner with a massive menu. The two issues are the food and the prices. We had: - French onion soup: The cheese and the bread were fine. Something tasted off about the soup. - Spaghetti and meatballs: The sauce was flavorless and the meatballs were very strangely seasoned. - A French dip sandwich: I should have known that this would be awful when the menu said it had cheddar cheese. I subbed in Swiss and it was still awful. The meat was very dry and flavorless. - Kids' chicken fingers and fries: This was fine. All told, we had two entrees, a kids meal, and a bowl of soup. Along with two sodas, the total came to almost $70 before tip. That's a lot more than I wanted to spend for such lousy food. Prices of some other items (especially drinks) were even more absurd. I'm not going to pay $7 for a Coors light. I'm definitely not going to pay $17 (!!!) for a Long Island iced tea at some random diner. Service was fine.

The menu had a lot of variety including gluten free bread and there was an extensive specials menu as well. we had a "make your own omelette", a meat lovers omelette, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, fresh fruit cup (with fresh strawberries, blueberries, giant blackberries, pineapple and melon), bacon, eggs Benedict and a huge , single chocolate chip pancake. I got a omelette special called the Vermont Omelette with apples, bacon, red onions and cheddar. The Home fries were seasoned with pepper and very tasty. Portions were perfect with most plates completely empty at the end and happy tummies. The owner and waitres were attentive. The owner noticed my daughter liked the doilies from under the fruit cups and gave her more to do art projects with at home. Food was solid, service friendly, street parking was easy and right in front. Would definitely eat here again and encourage others to as well!

Cindie had the Carrot Cake Pancakes, totally unbelievable! She's had similar dishes elsewhere, but nothing like these! WOW, I had the Mane', delicious grilled bread with guacamole, lox, chives, arugula with two perfectly poached eggs and topped with Greek cucumber yogurt and pumpkin seeds!! DOUBLE WOW!!!! the owner, waitress and cook, Kathleen was charming, informative and speedy! We can't wait for another excuse to drive to Glens Falls just for breakfast!!

On top of that, the pancakes were fabulous. Maybe they tasted so good because I don't remember the last time I had pancakes. I do, however, remember coming here often as a kid, and coming here tonight, there was a little bit of nostalgia, as if reliving fond childhood memories. The only difference is then I was eating with family, whereas tonight was a late night solo venture. But the waiter made me feel like family. So 5 stars 4 ya Denny's! p.s. I swear there was a pint of blueberries in just two pancakes. They definitely didn't skimp on the fruit. I actually asked to speak with the chef, and asked her (Melinda) if it was okay if I have her a shout out. As you can guess from reading this, she said yes. She said she's here five overnights a week. So chances are, if you're coming in early/late, she'll hook you up too. Again, Melinda, thank you!!

The service is usually pretty good, sometimes they can get a little busy(like Saturday mornings). I'm only docking a star due to consistency/ food temp/ lack of menu items sometimes. Otherwise, it's a really great breakfast option, especially for families. The coffee is okay at best but they have some new cold brew options now. Also! Kids eat free on Tuesdays with purchase of an adult meal! ;-)

Affordable farm-to-table experience, rural heartland diner with world class cooking…read more Everything we ate at the diner tasted like Grandma used to make, that is, if Grandma were Julia Child. We had an exceptional omelette made with local eggs, with fresh veggies sauteed perfectly, delectable expertly seasoned home fries, the best biscuits and gravy this side of heaven, followed by perfect lemon meringue pie which words simply cannot describe. All brought to us by a gentleman who missed his calling in standup comedy. To say that we're hoping to go back soon is the understatement of the century. We adore this place It's difficult for me to fathom how the food can possibly be this delicious, but I guess divine intervention is still a thing, these "meals that heal" are nothing short of sacred. So good. Mandatory upstate dining for locals, family, tourists, foodies, and any hungry angels passing through.

We sat down and it took 10 min to get water. The girl waiting the tables was sweet, but things move faster in the south than they did here. We had to call her over to place the order. Finally got my order, sat and waited until the waitress walked past hubby's burger 3 times before realizing it was ready for pickup. Meanwhile we have no Silverware/napkins. Jeff had the special of the day Swiss burger. Should have asked the price for the special - when we got the bill it was itemized from Burger down to the tomato. It was in NO way a burger baked at the $16+ price! The hot turkey sandwich tasted like the turkey was microwaved - chewy- the gravy was extremely heavy with the taste of poultry seasoning and pepper. It really wasn't good. We sat for quite awhile before finally asking the waitress to bring our check. I will Leave this with two positives - the fries were good and the waitress was friendly, when she was around. It was not worth $33 for this lunch.
