I normally don't name drop but Jaycob was the bomb diggidy! Not only did he put up with my special requests but he was super bubbly for it being so late/early. On top of that, the pancakes were fabulous. Maybe they tasted so good because I don't remember the last time I had pancakes. I do, however, remember coming here often as a kid, and coming here tonight, there was a little bit of nostalgia, as if reliving fond childhood memories. The only difference is then I was eating with family, whereas tonight was a late night solo venture. But the waiter made me feel like family. So 5 stars 4 ya Denny's! p.s. Honestly the value for the money is great. Some of the cheapest kids' meals/ breakfast meals around. The service is usually pretty good, sometimes they can get a little busy(like Saturday mornings). I'm only docking a star due to consistency/ food temp/ lack of menu items sometimes. Otherwise, it's a really great breakfast option, especially for families. Waited over a hr plus for our food waitress stopped to our table once for drink refills and to say she was sry it was taking so long. Said that some of the food was done but was still waiting for the rest finally came out with our food two kids meals and an adult omelette. The one kids meal was chocolate chip pancakes. That came out as one whole pancake and hardly any chocolate chips the adult omelette had mushrooms in it that were burnt and made the whole omelette taste like that I only ate two bites the manager sent over the check after we asked for it and discounted it for 15 percent because of the wait the potato's were not even cooked all the way through and were raw explained it to the manager and he threw a fit because he had to discount off the omelette and said that was all he was doing. I will not be returning to this location EVER again after that response. And my gf wanted the eggs benny which is gone from the menu so she didn't even want anything else. Very disappointed in this location it has went down hill on the weekends. She said that the manager and three cooks were in the kitchen. I explained to people that were in line and waiting to get seated because they overheard the conversation with the manager that they were not going to stay after listening to that. We walked in and our table was freshly wiped down, and the food was wiped onto the seats that we had to sit on. We asked for home fries, and they were the consistency of spaghetti, but still kind of raw potato texture. When we asked for some to be cooked a little better they came out burnt. I recently had breakfast there. Neither my brother or I finished our meal. I guess the toast was okay, the bacon was so-so. My omelet was dry and tasteless, potatoes had no seasoning. My main complaint was that service was slow and the food was cold when we got it. Some friends came in while we were there and her hamburger looked great. I was with two of my friends and we decided to stop for an early dinner. We were seated immediately but then totally ignored by all of the wait staff. Other people that came in after us were waited on and they were given their drinks and then got their food. We finally left the restaurant without being waited on. My server was wonderful she was kind and respectful and is the only reason for the 3 stars The food came out very promptly within 10 minutes of me placing my order as for taste however I had ordered a Grand slam burger I asked for egg on it to be over easy but it was still practically raw as were the two eggs I ordered on the side as for the burger it self I had askedfor it to be medium rare but the burger I got was well done ruined it for me the hashbrowns on it were nice and cripsy I got the nachos for the app which were nice and cheesy but there was so much grease from the hamburger on it they the nachos were like wet paste once again my server was the best part of the experience read more

Hey, it's Denny's, not Peter Lugers. You know what you're getting before you walk in. If you need a quick, casual meal, they will give you plenty of variety. They certainly do a nice breakfast for a chain diner. The place is always clean, the waitstaff is friendly and quick, the coffee is hot, and the prices are right. I guess that's all you can ask. Stopped in for breakfast as we commonly do on weekends with my disabled brother. We were told it would be a 30 minute wait as the kitchen staff was backed up, we chose to stay and seated ourselves on the bench provided inside. After a couple of minutes, we were told we must wait outside due to the wait staff not being able to move around. I asked the person at the counter if he actually thought my brother could stand outside for 30 minutes, he replied that there was a bench to sit down outside. I told him to cancel our name on his list, and walked out. I will never return to this restaurant, there is no excuse for rudeness or disrespect to a disabled person. I have always been a fan of the Moons over myhammy. Whether it's for lunch breakfast or dinner. The great thing is I can consistently get a goey melty egg and sandwich where ever I find a Denny's. The Queensbury location has friendly staff. My meal was delivered super quick. I devoured it equally as quick. Nice surprise for me today is the coffee (almost 1pm) was good and fresh. One word. DISGUSTING. I had finally got my appetite back after recuperating from COVID I had been craving this order for a few days when I finally got it. Pretty simple right? Just a sandwich and fries. I called it in 25 minutes before I got there and they still hadn't even started making it yet. I sat for over a half hour inside Denny's, making my wait time almost an hour. During which time I asked the waiter 3 times if my substitutions ( American cheese instead of Swiss) were made , he assured me they had. My family and I vacation in Lake George and although we have discovered some gems, we have found it difficult to find restaurants that are similar to our NJ area in proximity,food quality, price and hours of operation. Many of the really good restaurants in the Lake George Region either have strange days of operation (closed mondays and tuesdays) or the hours are not what we are used to (who closes a restaurant before 9pm?).. Anyways we had gotten back from the Great Escape late, returned to our hotel and we starving..before we knew it, it was 9:20 pm. I panicked because we had not eaten anything of nutritional substance (unless you count the garbage offered at G.E because they ran out of healthy options but I will leave that for another review) all day. I called several places and to my surprise they were either closed or had stopped serving dinner..ahh! I kind of wish I was back in NJ where I could access trusted diner cuisine at 1am if I so pleased..so we had to get creative and maybe a little ballsy..In my desperation I suggested Denny's...my husband practically rolled on the floor laughing... Yes, you read right Denny's! Even I am shocked to write this review but I felt compelled as there are almost no reviews and I was impressed with the food/price/hours. We loved the fact that the menu had an array of fit and lean options for us healthy eaters and also for the not so healthy eaters. My daughter had her favorite pancakes from the kids menu, along with a pleasant surprise a fruit and low fat yogurt smoothie for $1.99. No soda, or shirley temple or any other sugary option..the smoothie had fruit and yogurt no added sugar and it was really good! Inspired by her, I ordered a mango smoothie which was $2.99 but larger and well worth it..awesome smoothie! I also had the fish tacos which were lightly fried but ingredients were simple with cabbage, avocado, tomato,and a bit of sauce. Husband had an avocado grilled chicken sandwich of whole wheat bread, he really liked it and at 520 calories..not too shabby my friends.. What really impressed us was that for our side we didn't want the french fries, onion rings or anything else fried so we ordered a side salad. When it came, holy moly it was huge.. This was no side salad with a few sad tomatoes and 1 onion sitting on top, I counted 6 cherry tomatoes,4 onion slices,4 cucumber slices, and croutons! They didn't go stingy on the balsamic vinaigrette like restaurants usually do. I also had the strawberry cream cheeses pancake hush puppies for my dessert for $1.99 (6 of them). They were awesome, of course not good for you so two was more than enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. They can easily be shared between three people. Our bill came up to $31.38!...There was no up-charge for the side salad, which most restaurants will up-charge you for healthier alternatives. This was the most affordable dinner we had eaten so far on vacation and we were really impressed.. So Denny's in Queensbury I ate my words. read more

Being from the city, I always travel and expect things to be open late. Well, when in the Lake George area I have learned that many places close around 11pm. Other than Wal-Mart, this Denny's is one of the few places that is open late, 24/7 to be exact. The staff is super friendly, as is everywhere in Queensbury. The menu is basic Denny's food, but really, how can you go wrong? Pancakes, eggs, salads, chicken fingers. Never a dissappointment. Not a great experience this time. There were a lot of flies buzzing around my friends and I while we ate. On top of that we asked for extra crispy bacon and it came out still floppy. I asked for sour cream twice and when I finally got it they brought me ranch dressing instead. The booth i sat in had salt or sugar all over the seat. The food was good otherwise, but I'd suggest avoiding this Denny's if you have any other choice for breakfast. They call it America's Diner, and like America, she's seen better days. Somewhat dirty and dilapidated. Cheap food at a cheap price. Solid service, hit or miss food. Found a moth in my buffalo sauce once, so there's that. Best for breakfast, but I enjoy a good bowl of soup or some of the other appetizers. Lunch and dinner entrees are generally pretty average. On our last visit we had some blackberry pancake puppies, those were excellent. I also tried the new Cali Club sandwich, and it wasn't that great. read more

Being a shameless Denny's fan, I tend to give a lot of leeway when dining at their places. However, this Denny's needs no leeway. I've eaten here a few times while visiting my kid in college. The service was always excellent, and the food was fresh and well prepared. I tend to order the same things over and over when I go to Denny's. But this Denny's is slightly different in that the portions are always large, and the food is brought to the table hot. The waitresses that we have had have always been very great. I do love this dennys, during the day the food and service are always both great. BUT the later at night service wasnt so great. We were the only ones in the whole place and no refills we hardly saw the waitresses except the one who was mopping and cleaning. I brought my son in for his bday(July 1st) breakfast before great escape.. he asked for it, and the fact that he got a free grand slam is a plus.. I ordered his, pancakes, bacon, toast and scrambled eggs. Then I ordered mine, omelette which comes with hashbrowns and toast.. I asked for a side order of bacon with mine..they were busy. I realized this and was fine waiting a little longer than normal.. food comes and they put his down then mine. My side order of bacon didnt come with mine so I let the girl(not my server, maybe a food runner) know that i ordered a side of bacon with mine.. she brings out my bacon.. then my server comes over and said that she rang it so my bacon came out on my sons plate.. I said oh I didnt know, why would I know my food would be on his plate. She said well his comes with 2 slices of bacon and there is 4 there.. ok I dont work there and am unaware of how many slices of bacon people are supposed to have. Nor did I count his.. if she had told me before the food came out, then fine, its whatever.. but that's still weird.. she then grabs my check that she dropped before I got my food and charged me for another side of bacon.. at this point I am annoyed as hell.. like I am the one who ordered the side of bacon, why would you then assume it would be ok to have them put the food I ordered on someone else's plate, on top of that, expect me to know that.. and then charge me again for more. I am server and would never ever assume it's ok to put what someone else ordered on someone's else plate, child or not.. then assume they would just know that.. and if that did happen by mistake of kitchen or whoever. I would promptly get them their side on a separate plate and not charge them again.. honestly my mind is blown! Maybe I am more critical because i am a server.. but this is just isnt right.. Been here several times over past few years and all have been positive dining experiences. One of the better, friendlier Denny's (not all are this way) we have been to. The Build Your Own Burger is my favorite. Good solid burger at a reasonable price. Fries are good. The Cheese Quesadilla is a simple yet tasty starter. Opened 24 Hours so great if your running late, especially since many other establishments in the area close early. read more
