Excellent experience. Answered all my questions. 5 years ago I found a kitten outside. I brought her inside, but she has always been mostly feral, even though she lives in my house and allows me to pet her some days, lol. So I explained all of this to them, to let them know she may not be able to be handled. They thanked me for letting them know, and explained that they are experienced helping even "wild" kitties. My sister's kitty, Oreo, needed his rabies vaccine updated as it was a requirement for her new apartment. We were on a time crunch to get this done. I called Dr. Kelly's scheduling line and explained the situation. The representative said they are usually booked out a bit for vaccines, but she would call the East Mesa location and see what she could do. Magically, she got us scheduled for the very next day. We arrived about 15 minutes early and they were able to take Oreo back then and there and get his vaccine done early. The tech also gave us some recommendations from their brief exam to help Oreo's overall health. The price was super reasonable and I think this took about 10 minutes altogether. My Vienna's received care at Dr. Kelly's on April 30. I am sad to say that Vienna passed away from aspiration pneumonia and sepsis not 48 hours after leaving their office. I spoke to their office twice with concerns regarding Vienna and her recovery and was reassured both times that what Vienna was expecting was "normal for after a dental" and "give her time to recover". Friday morning Vienna was diagnosed with aspiration pneumonia and sepsis and needed ICU care to try and stabilize her. When the ICU Dr. called Dr. Kelly's office to discuss Vienna's procedure they were told "Drs are unavailable until Monday. " Sadly, Vienna did not have that much time.  Nothing will bring my sweet Vienna back, but I hope her story prevents other pets having to go through what she did. read more

We used Dr Kelly's surgical until in Mesa for our 10 year old dogs dental cleaning because we thought they were lost cost and were recommended by a lot of people on Facebook. When we arrived we were surprised that they don't have anyone up front just a check in station with a sign in sheet, clipboards, waiting area and a camera to see when patients arrive. We would like to have had a front desk type person but I believe it's to save them money to be able to offer lower cost services. We brought our dog in for her pre surgery bloodwork that is required if your dog is 10 years old or older to make sure they are healthy enough to be put under for surgery. When we checked in a vet tech came out and took our dog back to get looked over by a vet and took our get an estimate. We never got to meet or see the vet. Our estimate was $800-$1200 for a 40 pound dog and was dependent on whether or not she needed any teeth pulled, collar etc. The cleaning itself would have been about $300 but there were alot of other fees added such as anesthesia, pain meds, anti nausea medication, bloodwork, X-rays etc. Our regular wanted over $1500 so we still saved money. read more

When there was a concern the day after my pet's surgery they were very good about letting me bring her back in to check everything was OK. Went in for free consultation, first off 1 hr wait... second wanted a 99$ blood draw without a consultation or a check by a vet for teeth cleaning? This is a consultation/estimate because my dog is 11.. had numerous teeth cleanings before, tell the tech no on the blood because I'm here for an estimate.... Takes my pup back returns in 3 minutes, says I'll be back with your service estimate. Comes back with 1200$ plus estimate saying my dog needs 10/12 teeth removed plus the 299 cleaning! Do not use these people! My dog has tater it's a preventative treatment, had same issues with no teeth removed from vca, pet smart, and spca... everyone at clinic while waiting was hit with a up charge or a huge delay! Overall I had a positive experience with this vet service. Just FYI in order to book an appointment there is a $40 NONREFUNDABLE fee. The fee does go towards the surgery balance. I booked my appointment online and was later able to speak to a girl in the office before my dog's surgery. I told her that I wanted to confirm with her how much it was going to be upfront and that the pain meds were included. She said it would be $163 and yes the painkiller rx was included. The day of the surgery I dropped off my dog in the morning at 9:15am and I was asked if I wanted to include an IV during surgery for an additional $91 and that it would help my dog with the surgery and recovery. Of course I didn't want my dog to suffer so I said yes. At this point I was expecting a balance of around $220 ($260-40) . I received a call at 11:50am that the surgery went well and that my dog had an odd shaped uterus but nothing to be too concerned about and that I could come pick her up in an hour. When I got there they told me the balance was $375. As you can imagine I was a lil surprised since that's not what I was told. Quickly we found out that they had added medications that I had declined and that the pain meds (after surgery) are not included as I was lead to believe. The day of surgery the dog receives a painkiller with the anesthesia that is supposed to last the day but that' s it so if you don't want your pet to be in pain afterwards you should add the painkillers ($27). Also they added a fee for the "irregular uterus" of $45 and $37 for antibiotics. I paid it but to this day no one could tell me what the additional undisclosed $45 charge was for. In the end my dog got spayed and she is still alive and nothing went wrong with the surgery from what I can tell so I'm going to call it a win even though the process to get there in my opinion was more complicated then it needed to be. I understand that they are trying to cater to people of all means but the nickel and diming is a bit much and I would have preferred to be quoted one price that just included everything. With that being said it was still cheaper than had I gone to our normal vet so I think it's a good affordable option. read more

This is third experience with Dr. Kelly's. Our first visit was in the mobile unit, the second was in Glendale, and this visit was at the East Mesa location. We keep coming back because of value and they've always been so professional and kind. I was assisted by Hillary and Melanie and both were great! Hillary explained everything and made sure we had everything we needed and Melanie called during surgery and helped me make decisions. My dog has half a nose so she had a big gap the doctor offered to close to keep stuff out. It was only $50! I thought it was wonderful they thought of it and my dog will be happier. Everyone was so nice and helpful. When I dropped Thor off for surgery to remove a mass on his paw, Cimmaron was awesome and helped me to not be as worried and stressed about the surgery. I checked in with them to see how things were going and they were again so kind and helpful. Dr. Phillip called after surgery and took time explaining to me how things went and answered any questions I had. When we removed the wrap from his foot I could not believe how good his paw looked. athe mass was in a tough spot in his paw and we were concerned it might be difficult to stitch it but he did and amazing job. Dr. Kelly's sent us home with pain meds and antibiotics as well. I got a quote from a specialist of over $5,500 and saved over $4,300 by taking him to Dr. Kelly's. This review is in light of their dishonest advertising. I reached out for a quote for a dental cleaning for my cat. They said they couldn't give me one as each case is different and seeing it is the only accurate way. I understand that. They said they offer a free consultation to determine the quote, so I agreed to have them call me and set it up. When they called, I was disappointed to hear they're booking 2-3 months out. What made me stop the call immediately is when they said I had to schedule the actual procedure appointment at the same time as the consultation, AND pay $100 deposit. That's not a free consultation, that's a trap. Dr. Kelley's, I understand your time has value, but it's extremely dishonest to promise a free consultation that is really only "free with a several hundred dollar purchase". Just a quick rant on a recent experience with Dr. Kelly's veterinary surgical unit. Recently I took my dog Fiona into Dr. Kelly's for a routine dental cleaning, because of Fiona's advanced age they required pre-anesthesia blood work be completed. When the lab results came in her lymphocyte count was off the charts at over 25000, 1000-3000 is normal, a count that high is usually indicative of cancer or leukemia. They recommended that I follow up with my regular vet before proceeding with the dental which I did. I got to spend the next five days thinking Fiona was dying waiting to see my regular vet. When I got her in with my regular vet early the next week they recommended repeat blood work and a set of full body x-rays to check for any tumors, I agreed and $650 later her diagnostics were complete. Great news! nothing found on the x-rays and her bloodwork came back completely normal. Yeah!, what a relief. Now I was pissed, because of Dr. Kelly's incompetent lab I'm out $650 for x-rays and repeat lab work and Fiona was unnecessarily subjected to full body x-rays and another needle stick for blood work, not to mention the emotional stress of thinking your losing your furry family member. I contacted Dr. Kelly's to talk about the situation. My feeling was that they should reduce the cost of the dental procedure by the $650 I had to shell out for the unnecessary vet bill, they didn't feel the same unfortunately. They offered to remove the cost of the dental procedure itself $317 and that was their final offer, that's not acceptable! They screw up and they're not even willing to cover the cost of that screw up, let alone the emotional distress, time and fuel costs of a 70 mile round trip to my vet are you kidding? Needless to say Dr. Kelly will not be getting any future business from me and I hope this experience will make you think twice before trusting your fur babies to a business like this. read more

I want to say that this was one of the best experiences I've ever had . I came in the door and was greeted right away . With a heartfelt welcoming that was warm and exciting . They knew who my dog was right away . The girl went back got the paperwork and got my dog weighed her said that she'd be right back she was and when I went to check out the price was less than what they quoted me on the phone . I asked if it was a mistake and she said no . Believe me these guys are going to get all the business that I I can possibly tell others to go to them . They were exceptional I was in and out of the place in less than 20 minutes . And the people that were there were coming and going just as quick as I was there the information that I was overhearing one staff member tell a person that was checking out their cat answered all her questions did what she needed to do did it in a timely manner and the customer was super thrilled they answered all her questions and they told her if she had more don't be afraid to call ask the questions talk to another lady that was in the waiting room and she said she had three cats to be spaded she figured somewhere in the area of about 2 to $3,000 she walked out the door under $700 for all three of them and they're shots she said she loves this place she called several times to find out this and that and the other thing and that they were very helpful in answering all their questions prescriptions everything that they needed to have for their cats after the surgery everything out the door was under $700 . She was simply amazed . I've gone to the dentist that's next to them and I have seen them when I have gone to the dentist people are always in and out in and out in and out and now I know why they are getting super great care and being put on their way so that they didn't have to sit there and wait for 10 hours or half the day . They are super at what they do thank you for making it affordable to have a pet , a loved one in your life that isn't breaking the bank to keep it . I am only leaving one star because I have to. My cat had his leg amputated and within 4 days he ended up in the emergency room with a massive infection and was not originally sent home with antibiotics. I was told by the ER that he should have been sent home with antibiotics. They had to basically open him up and remove all the infection and dead tissue and put in a drain port. The stitches done from Dr Kelly's was very bubbly and the stitches from the er were perfect. I called and spoke with someone about the issues and first they told me they don't have supervisors then a supervisor called and left a message and I returned the call left a message and never heard back from anyone. read more

Just a routine rabies shot. We are still dealing with the after effects two days later. Dog has leg pain in hind quarters where he got the shot there. I was told to take him to my vet because they don't have the facilities to treat that at Kelly's. Very concerning to me that I had to get into it with them at Kelly's that they should at least evaluate him. Offered me to bring him in at two just to evaluate only and not treat. So o decided to give it a day and take him to my regular vet. Which o will be doing tomorrow as he is still not weight bearing. He was also panting a lot on and off. I will find out soon what caused all this. Beware if something like this goes badly to be told to take him to your vet even though they gave the shot. I'm pretty disgusted. read more
