Went there and told them how i had a tiny hole close to the sidewall would like it patched and they did not fix it and told me it was a valve stem leak, still goes flat and as i went to pick it up i noticed how low the tire still was, after they "ran it through there tire system" read more

Got a flat tire, randomly...stopped and was happy they had the tire in stock. I've purchased new tires before never have i ever been nickel and dimed the entire time for one time. The owner charged me a fee to balance, install, dispose of old tire, and a fee to turn the low tire pressure off. Tire was $108 new it ended up costing me close to $160 with the additional fees. I got the same tire with everything included for $125 plus tip. I would never ever recommend going here for a tire. I'm a traveling salesman and have had issues all across NY and New England and never ever had I been through the ringer for one tire with all these additional fees, nice shop but I would never ever do business again with this scam of an owner. read more

The Kelly's, staff, et al are wonderful; their expertise, helpful and congenial manner, fair prices and efficiency are the best. Yesterday they fixed headlamps and restored excellent nighttime vision (at half the cost) that had been destroyed by service by a local dealership. Very disappointed with Dennis and Kelly Tire. 1. Was given a quote and the bill exceeded the quote two separate times without a call. Paid over $200.00 extra. 2. Left the shop after a repair only to have to turn around and let Dennis know there was a serious issue. He said it will have to wait because he was leaving. 3.Vehicle was not test driven after repair, mechanic said it was not safe for him to take it for a test drive. Let me leave with the vehicle. 4. Unacceptable customer service. Several more complaints but you get the picture. I tried working it out with Dennis but he shut me off and picked up the phone to make a call. I have known Kelly's Tires my entire life, having grown up in Putnam. I recently recommended that a relative get his vehicle assessed and he purchased tires. As with Rik E in March 2018, Kelly's Tires added an expense ($80) for an "additional" electronic repair not authorized by the vehicle owner; he was not asked ahead if he wanted this "repair" done. As soon as he left the garage, the light "repaired" went on again. I feel badly for recommending what I thought was an honest business and am encouraging my relative to request a refund for the bogus "repair." read more

A bit on the pricey side, but I always go here because of the quality workmanship and trustworthy, reliable staff. They are honest and straightforward. Usually have to drop your car off for the day; that and the high prices are the only downside. The benefits outweigh the cost though. read more

The Brothers Kelly and their staff is always helpful and friendly. I wouldn't think of going elsewhere for my tires. I am always trying to get the very last millimeter of tread-wear off my tires. I depend upon Kelly's Tire for finding me the best deal on tires and watching out for the health of my tires and brakes. That is their forte. read more

I recently had 4 tires mounted and balanced. I was told that it would cost $131. When all was said and done. I paid $168. According to Connecticut law, you are to be notified of any price change prior to the work being done. The man never asked me what size tire I was having installed. He just assumed that they were the price of stock tires to be done. I was also charged for each valve stem, which is normal. But I was charged extra because they were high pressure stems. He should have known that when he looked up the quote. I will not bring another vehicle there unless this is rectified. And if this is not rectified soon, I will go to the state, DOCA, and the BBB. What an utter waste of time! My car was there for 3 days and all they did was diagnose the problem that I already knew existed. Horrible, they tried twice to balance 4 tires I purchased from them . They couldn't get them right. Took car to another garage. It cost an additional 40 dollars, but the tires are now balanced correctly. Tried to talk to the owner of Kelly's about their inability to balance a tire correctly but he just blew me off. Absolutely the BEST at what they do. We took a vehicle to the appropriate dealership and was quoted over $1000. We shopped Kelly's and when examined were told $343 and that included a tire! Fair, Fast and thorough. read more

Had a flat on one of my rear tires... coldest day of the year (2* -15 wind chill)... 70 miles from home... they were getting ready to close...! I called ahead, I got there as fast as I could, just before closing time. I fully expected to be shut out because it was so late. Once Dennis heard my story and knew how far away from home I was, he took my keys, opened up a bay door and went to work. I was back on the road within 20 minutes!!! To say I was relieved and so thankful is an understatement!!! Dennis could have charged me whatever he wanted because he knew I was in a bind and I would have paid it. Instead, the price was very reasonable and I couldn't be happier with the level of service, and quite frankly, the compassion that Dennis and his team show me in my time of need. AAAAA++++ for customer service, quality of work... and most of all, simply being nice people! Didn't know how to fix my domestic car. Asked for the name of the part it needed (It needs radiator hoses.) The mechanics couldn't tell me the name of the parts and said that Ford refuses to let them order the parts anyway. Worst excuse I ever heard of. DO NOT GO HERE! When I made my appointment, they said they could fix my car. When I went to pick it up, they said there wasn't a problem with it. When I spoke with Dennis the mechanic, he said it sounded like an electrical problem and he "didn't do" electrical problems. I said, this would have been useful to know before I brought the car in. I then asked if the car was safe to drive and he shrugged his shoulders. The worst part was, he had two phone numbers to contact me on and made no effort to do so. This just wasted my time. I will take my car back to my mechanic in Hartford who is at least honest about what he can and can't do at the beginning as opposed to wasting my time and money! read more
