September 9, 2026 FORMAL COMPLAINT REGARDING YOUR "WAITING APPOINTMENT" SYSTEM I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience today, and I believe your company needs to take a serious look at what you are calling a "waiting appointment." I called in advance and specifically scheduled a waiting appointment for a tire rotation. I arrived at 8:00 a.m. as instructed. I also specifically asked that you not perform any other inspections or services, because I wanted to minimize the amount of time I would have to wait. I was told to expect a wait of approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Two hours later, I returned to check on my vehicle and discovered that you had not even started the tire rotation. That is completely unacceptable. So I have a very simple question: What exactly is a "waiting appointment"? An appointment means something. It means the customer has reserved a specific time and the business has agreed to provide the service within a reasonable period around that appointment. If you cannot honor that appointment, then don't call it an appointment. Call it what it really is: "Drop your car off and we'll get to it whenever we can." At least that would be honest. Instead, you are telling customers that they can wait for their vehicle and giving them a promised waiting time. Then you leave them sitting there for hours while their vehicle hasn't even been touched. That isn't an appointment. It's a failure to manage your schedule and a complete disregard for your customer's time. In my case, approximately four hours of my day were wasted: 30 minutes driving to your store Approximately 3 hours waiting for a basic four-tire rotation 30 minutes driving home Four hours--for a tire rotation. I cannot get those four hours back. And here's something your management should consider: I have 60,000-mile tires, which means I would expect to have them rotated approximately 12 times over their life. If I had to spend four hours every time I came to your store, that would amount to approximately 48 hours of my life waiting for a service that should be routine. That is two full days of my life sitting around waiting for your company to do something as simple as rotate four tires. After today's experience, I have absolutely no intention of spending those 48 hours with your company. In fact, I will be looking elsewhere for my future tire purchases. And before I buy tires from another company, I will be asking one very simple question: "If I make an appointment for a tire rotation, how long will I actually have to wait?" Your answer to that question may determine where I spend my money. I also want to make something very clear: your counter employees were courteous, friendly, and patient. I have no complaint about them. My complaint is with the system and the management decisions behind it. Quite frankly, I feel sorry for your counter employees. They are the ones who have to stand in front of angry customers and explain why appointments aren't actually being honored. Your employees should not have to defend a scheduling system that sets them up to deal with disappointed and frustrated customers. If you are consistently unable to service "waiting appointments" within the time you promise, then stop offering waiting appointments. Tell customers upfront that they need to leave their vehicles for the day. That would at least be honest. But telling a customer to arrive at a certain time, promising a 1-to-1 1/2-hour wait, and then not even starting the vehicle after two hours is simply unacceptable customer service. I came to your store expecting a routine service to be completed in a reasonable amount of time. Instead, I lost four hours of my day and left with the very strong impression that my time simply doesn't matter to your company. I will remember that the next time I need tires. I'd come here regularly for the $29.95 oil changes because it was just convenient and only a few dollars more than doing it myself recently I got charged $41 for a oil change when I asked what the price difference was they said my car took 5.6 L of oil for 4 cylinder and I said that's incorrect it takes less than 5 quarts 4.5 to be exact.Google it showed them. They showed me where their system said 5.6 so Firestone is adding the quart of oil to make more profit they'll no longer be getting my business anymore. My mom took her Toyota 4 Runner in for an oil change and tire rotation on Saturday 2/21/26. They did an inspection and told her that her shocks were seeping/ leaking and that they needed to be replaced. They also told her that her battery was low and needed to be replaced. The 4 Runner only has 21,000 miles on it and it's a 2022. I did the same inspection on it...climbed under and checked the shocks. The shocks were perfectly fine. No seeping or leaking oil. They were dry and dusty. Put the battery on my tester and it was at 12.4V. This would have costed her $1,400.00 if she would have had all this done! These guys are Sharks! Do not give these guys your business! Luckily she had me to here to do a second check. Her tires are origanal from the dealer and are at over more than half life! I'll be giving these guys a visit in the same 4 Runner with the same paperwork they gave her and we'll see how fast they back pedal! You can't trust anyone now days! The employee who checked me in was very rude. I had an appointment for my oil change at 10:00 a.m., so I asked how long it would take. He told me it wouldn't be finished until before they closed at 6:00 p.m. I asked why an oil change would take so long, especially since I had a scheduled appointment. He responded that my vehicle was "not a priority." I explained that having an appointment should make it a priority. He then told me that next time, if I make an appointment, I should leave a note saying I'll be waiting so they can prioritize my vehicle. This location has definitely gone downhill over the years and really needs Sherri back to get things back in order. I took my daughter's car here for a wheel alignment only to be told that she needed a new battery and rear wiper blades. Well the problem with this suggestion was I had just had this exact service done at this location 45 days prior. So I guess that meant that I paid them for a service they didn't do. Once I brought that to their attention, they did mention that they had not completed the service I paid for 45 days prior and would swap out the battery and replace the wiper blade. Then I was told they couldn't complete the wheel alignment cause they couldn't get the bolts off. All this to say, please double check their work. My partner ended up getting two screws in two different tires this week on his car, so he took it to Firestone on Lone Tree to get them fixed since that's where he purchased the tires. After waiting around for an hour and a half, they told him one screw was too close to the side wall and the other one couldn't be repaired for whatever reason, and recommended getting two new tires. The thing is, these tires only have 15k miles on them! Firestone stated they were NOT repairable. I was shocked - so today I took the car to Cutino's in Oakley. They fixed both tires for $35 each. Every time we get our car back it seems to have more issues. We take pretty good care of our cars, timely services etc but since we've been to Firestone we've had to go back multiple times for "new" issues. This time, we took it in for a tire change and came back with trunk issues. Almost took it back but something told me to troubleshoot it ourselves. Had a mechanic friend walk my son through checking the locking mechanisms of the trunk and we found a lock positioned right under the lock mechanism. According to my friend, the only way to get to that area is if we had work done underneath the rear of the car. There's no possible way a lock "fell" in to the locking port and conveniently landed under the bolt. I paid our Firestone credit card off and never went back. However, if you think about it, it's a smart business model. You give folks credit and make sure they keep coming back. Please go somewhere else. read more

After installing new shocks and lowering springs for a very mild drop on my wagon, I quickly looked around for a place to to a quick alignment. The first store in mind was Wheel Works. But then again they referred me to Firestone as their alignment rack went offline (boo). So after a quick all, I had an appointment to have my car aligned at Firestone. I did choose their hundo package that will avail me alignments for up to a year. I get a call from them while they had my car, informing me that I cannot qualify for a year's span of alignment since my car is lowered? Really? Inform me after the fact that Firestone already had my car? I decided to go ahead and continue on, thinking that they will dial my car in. Boy I was wrong. A Mazda Protege5's caster angle is adjusted by removing the strut assembly and rotating the top perch until proper caster is achieved. This process is much more laborious than your typical car that have caster adjustment. They did not do it as the car still steers off center. One star added since they did correct my toe. But if I knew, I would have 'string'ed up' my own alignment. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR. I should have listened to the bad reviews on here! But I bought new tires online on Tire Rack and the closest install place was this Firestone, so I said how hard could swapping tires be and what could go wrong? WOW... I'll start off with the online experience. Tirerack checkout process included scheduling with Firestone, but when I called Firestone to ask a question they said 'no, Tire Rack doesn't schedule the appts with us'. Ok. Can I schedule an appt? (Even though they already had my tires delivered). Now for the fun stuff... The guy over torques my studs and breaks one. The manager lady rudely explains that they torque to spec (I don't think the tech even looked up the proper spec) and they won't cover it since it's aftermarket. Okay, Fine. Thanks. They explain that I'll need to replace the rotor because of the broken stud. No way, not true. Now my wheels are all on the car. But they are staggered wheels and they put them on wrong. He put the fronts on the rear and rear on the fronts. The rears clearly have a wider lip/different offset. If I drove my car like this it would have severely damaged my front fenders. His coworkers gave him a hard time for the amateur move. I'm a nice guy, so I just walked off and let him fix the error. Car goes up and back down. The left side of the car is still wrong, fronts in back again. I hear one of the guys say "whats wrong with you???" Car goes back up and down, he fixes the next error. It's done. They offer to schedule an appt to fix the broken stud. The one they broke and said I'll have to pay for replacing stud and rotor. That's way more $$$ and a very pointless thing to do. No thanks! I ran away from this place. By the way, this is my weekend sports car. I wanted the new tires so we could take it out that weekend. Guess what. We start our cruise the next day and the car starts shaking. We look out the windows and the rear wheels were WOBBLING. The tech mounted them crooked and over tightened the lugs. I checked the torque at home and they were all over-torqued. I learned my lesson. Please go to a credible shop. I thought about posting this for a few weeks. They are friendly and they do good work. I take issue with the fact that everything needs to be spelled out for the service associate. For example, today I requested an oil change, tire rotation, and full vehicle inspection. I explicitly told the associate the check engine light was on. He called about two hours after my drop-off time to say the car is leaking and they don't know why the check engine light is on. He also said the car would be ready in 10-15 minutes. I drove over to Firestone only to have them say they still don't know why the check engine light is on. Apparently, you need a "diagnostic" to figure out why. I became upset and asked why they didn't even use their scanner to read the check engine light. He explained he needed my authorization to do a diagnostic, which I felt I gave when I dropped my car off and told him that the light was on. Now I have to COME BACK and have them figure that out for $112. No. Honestly, BS. Don't call a service a "full vehicle inspection" when it's not. Why didn't they tell me I needed a diagnostic in the first place?This isn't the first time they've neglected to complete a service I request after dropping off my vehicle, so I'm pretty sick of this location. Dropped my car off for 10am appointment at 9:35am. When I asked about an eta the person who checked me in told me that my car would go in around 1015am and take 1.5 hrs to do oil change. It is now 1:00pm, I called for an update and was told my car is just now "up in the air" and should take 1 to 1.5 hours until it's ready. An oil change should not take this long when you schedule an appointment that you come in almost 30 minutes early for. My whole Saturday is messed up now. Besides 2 other services I've been a staple at this Firestone for the last 8 years. I'm not saying they're perfect but the few things they've messed up on they have always made it right. Sherrie the Branch manager may come off a little dry because she's blunt and to the point but I love that about her. My other favorite Service Advisor was Erica, she no longer works here but she was very good too. Robert has been my advisor these couple of times and I've grown to like his style as well. I can't name any of the service team but I've never had any issues with their work. So say what you will but the proof is in the pudding, they've kept me on the road the last 177k miles, so I'm going to keep coming back. read more

(Do not recommend) On the day I had the appointment I get a call and they tell me "Oh our appointments are booked all weekend, bring it in on Monday", we'll that was inconvenient. They also said they were completely booked but if I come early when they 1st open then I could be assisted, I may have to wait for hours but I would still be seen. I was so surprised within 2 hours I had 2 new tires, fluids changed and oil change amongst all their appts. He explained everything they did for me and although I forgot his name now I appreciate that as I am not a mechanic so nice to have things explained to me. Why you would even have an online option with time slots and then send customers email confirmations only to turn them away? I found out I needed all 4 new tires and panicked. I'm a broke college student and needed reliable but cheap tires. I started calling a bunch of different locations when I stumbled upon Firestone. From the second they answered the phone, they were incredibly helpful, funny, and knew exactly what I needed. They were patient with me as I had to call back a couple times before scheduling the appointment. The day I actually got my tires done, all the employees were so friendly, cracking jokes with me about my car and life. The work done was fabulous and efficient.
