Anything more complex find a mechanic that'll give you a warranty. Aqueel can't afford warranties. Maybe be has a warranty on the PARTS but he won't replace anything for free and will look for you to pay his labour. Even if the part fails you're expected to pay labour. So if the part is $200 and it fails, you dont pay the $200 part he gets it for free but still wants you to pay his labour fee. Bollocks mate! Quite a scam and unprofessional behaivor. Pay the pretty penny at a real mechanic shop and get a warranty for parts AND labour. In so many businesses in this Country of USA when you replace a part they give you a certain amount of time as a warranty. Then replace that part FREE of charge if it is defective (manufacturer defect) in Aqueels garage you will still pay. This is a greedy way to do business and sadly me or my family won't go back. I will drive 30 or 40+ minutes to a different mechanic who is slightly more expensive but Sadly aqueel will no longer be getting my money. Sorry ol chap!

I called back to speak to her supervisor and told him it was unacceptable that we could not get our car back today since she told me, I'll call you when it gets here. Making it sound like it was on its way and never once saying it could be a day or so from this morning. So I called back late in the afternoon trying to find out why I haven't heard back and she told me I couldn't get it until tomorrow. I explained that my wife needs it for work tomorrow and why wasn't I told that. She then said she did tell me, which she did not. So after she hung up on me I called back and I asked to speak to her boss. He was no better than she was in rudeness and professionalism. Years ago, I had dealt with them before and now remember what she was like that time too. They may do great work there but I wouldn't know it but I'll tell you what with those attitudes I will never go back there nor recommend them to anyone I know. I have never been treated so poorly by people who want to continue to do business in this town. On day two sometime just after 11 AM the lady from the front desk called with the estimate and we decided not to have the work done, she was angry and upset. I said I was leaving to pick up the car and that's when they told me it was taken to a subcontractor and she'll call me when it's back. I tried to interject that I would go pick it up, but she made it sound like it was already on the way. I was working and lost track of time and it got to be around 5 PM and I called back and she said the car is not there yet and that it would be there tomorrow morning. I told her that was unacceptable, because she knew my wife needed it to see patients as a traveling nurse. She said, I told you I'll call you when it's here and hung up on me. She knew from that morning that my wife was a traveling nurse and had patients to see the next day and needed the car but that didn't matter to her. Day three of dealing with Rich Lucas of Lucas Automotive Specialties and his representative at the front desk. I arrived at 8 AM, and another man was trying to help me but when Rich walked in he said I was wasting his time because I was looking for the best price for the work I want it done to the car and that they don't do estimates unless the work is being done there. (I ask you, what is an estimate for if you're gonna have to have the work done there and you don't have a choice once you get the estimate? No one I've ever dealt with before after getting an estimate done has demanded that I have to work done by them because they did the estimate. That is utter foolishness. So not only is he a mean old man he has deceitful business practices any uses fear and intimidation to try to get you to cave in to his view of things. We weren't even told until day two the car was taken to someone else to have the estimate done.) I went there at 8 AM to pick up the car and was told by Rich Lucas I don't listen because they said they would call me and no one called me. I said I understand but we need the car and I'll go pick it up. Rich said angrily, we don't work that way now get the "F" out as he stood up and pointed at the door. I said you're withholding my vehicle from me out of spite because we didn't have the work done here and I don't owe you any money, I'm calling the police. After the police came, he finally said the car would be there at 9 AM. I went back home and picked up my wife so she could leave straight from there. We arrived at around 8:40 AM and by 8:55 AM her car was still not there. At this point she took mine to see her patient and I waited inside where I could continue to watch the parking lot entrance. At around 9:20 AM I saw out of the corner of my eye Rich get up from the front desk and go back into the shop and then a few minutes later he showed up in the parking lot out front with my wife's car. Rich Lucas made me wait an additional 20 minutes, past the time he said the car would be there, knowing he had the car in the back the whole time. When he finally showed up with the car he had come from his back lot of which there is no access, except through the front entrance of which I have been watching since 8:40 AM. This means he is a deceitful, spiteful, lying, cheat. That's just my opinion after dealing with him for three days. It's also my opinion, based on my personal observations that he had my car the entire time and he was just being mean and spiteful.

This will be a very long review in order to include all info…read more.. This place used to be awesome... But over the last couple years the quality and integrity have drastically declined. Brought my jeep in because I thought the shocks were bad and had a check engine light, I was told the issue was a module for the air suspension. I was quoted about 2k to fix. It wasn't super important to me but I planned on keeping the vehicle so I just did it. Immediately after picking up the vehicle the engine light went on again and it was the same code. They looked at it again and said now I need some other 2k part. I told them I would have NEVER spend 4k to fix this and basically got screwed out of 2k. Fast forward, because I did have some history with this place I assumed what happened may have been a fluke but I was extremely wrong. Brought the same vehicle in because I had a code for misfire in cylinder 5 and the engine had a tick sound. They inspected and told me it just needed plugs and coils. I have a voicemail from them specifically stating a tune up will definitely fix my issue and it was almost 1,100! I said go ahead and do the work. Before I even picked up my vehicle they called and said I still have a tick and they can inspect more of course with added fees. At this point I was very mad that they misdiagnosed AGAIN and still intended to charge me full price. I called a friend who is a mechanic in Michigan and called my local Jeep dealer and with only telling them I had a misfire they BOTH immediately told me it's because of the cam and rollers which is like a 7k job! I then did a very quick google search to verify this and it seems to be a very very common issue with this make and model. I was then told by the shop manager that John (the owner) told him if we were going to "act some kinda way" over this that he would remover the labor and only charge us for the parts and to never come back (still over $500 for nothing). We had no choice but to pay since the vehicle was held hostage until we paid. Needles to say I was NEVER planning to go back there and it's really disappointing how fast this shop went down hill and no longer stands behind their work.

At a previous visit, I had been given a diagnosis of an oil leak and an estimate to repair it. My engine has been rebuilt, and I am very aware of my oil levels which I monitor by regularly checking myself, adding oil as necessary, and having oil changes every 3,000 miles instead of the recommended 5,000 miles. I was driving to Indiana that day so I wanted the leak fixed. I had the leak fixed and made my trip. I felt that my car was not driving as it had. When I stopped for gas for the trip back, I decided to check the oil and found that I had to add 3 quarts for it to show on the dipstick. I immediately called and was told to go to a location in Indiana, which I did. That location confirmed that the repair was done correctly and that it did not appear that oil was leaking. This means that oil was not added after the repair which obviously can cause serious damage to the engine. When my car was still not driving like it had prior to the repair, I returned to this location and asked to try a simple remedy of changing the NGK spark plugs that were installed during the repair back to AC Delco plugs. I'd had AC Delco installed about 5 months prior so that was what was in my car before this oil leak repair. That previous mechanic informed me that my car must have AC Delco spark plugs for optimal performance. I was told that I would have to pay for AC Delco plugs if I wanted them and that no one there could offer a refund or any type of resolution. I was just offered the advice that I shouldn't take long trips in my car and that maybe I would have to get another engine. After asking who had the authority to come up with a solution, I was told that the manager would be in the next day and would contact me. I waited for a call and did not receive one. I had a mechanic check the repairs and he found that the spark plugs were not gapped correctly and one was not installed properly. He corrected this but I have continued to have issues. I contacted Jiffy Lube corporate and received a reply that they would reach out to the owner of this location and ask them to contact me. When I got no reply, I again asked corporate to reach out, asking them to let me know if I would be contacted by phone or email (in case I had missed a call). I was reminded that although they would reach out again, each location is individually owned so there was nothing else corporate could do. I still did not receive communication. I called the Yorkville location and asked for the owner's contact information. I was told to look online and found that the owner of this location is shown to own at least 3 others in the Chicago area. I called one of the locations in Oak Park and spoke to that manager. After I explained my problem to her, she said that she would ask the manager in Yorkville to contact me and if he didn't, to call her back. No communication. I called back and she told me to call Yorkville because he was there that day and that was all she told me. Because I have already done this, I should not have to call again to continue getting no help. Meanwhile, I have had worsening issues with my car due to unknowingly driving at highway speeds with very low oil, including that my engine burns much more oil, causing the need to constantly add more. Even before they repaired the leak I did not have to add this much oil. I have had the oil changed 4 times since the January 22 service and have had to add multiple quarts between changes (more than 20 quarts). Low oil also causes warping in the engine that then creates other problems such as failed gaskets and seals causing other leaks and damage which I am now having to deal with and have had to pay to correct. I have been forced to spend hundreds of dollars just on oil/oil changes, not including repairs needed because of this mistake, and that would have been avoided if this had been taken care of immediately. I have been extremely patient and have exhausted all of the avenues I can think of to get this corrected. I did not want to give a bad review for a mistake, but I now have no choice but to warn other people that this location (and possibly other locations) will not do the right thing when they make a devastating mistake like this. A customer should not have to go through everything I have gone through to try to get them to do what they know they should do. I now am out the money I was forced to spend and will continue to suffer expenses related to this. To fix the problems at this stage, I need to get another engine, which I cannot afford. As time passes and it is obvious that no one is interested in taking care of this, things are becoming worse. I have to constantly check/add oil in an effort to minimize further damage and I am very worried that I will get stuck on the road somewhere.
