Do not waste your money upgrading to a better wash. They do a terrible job cleaning out the inside and my black car had huge streaks. Also, washer fluid was watered down which makes bugs nearly impossible to clear. Staff is OK. Using coupons was a hassle and the wait was longer than I was advised. Don't worry if you get your oil changed (which I did) they will try to upswell absolutely everything. Realistically this is a drive through car wash with a cheap oil change. read more

Until January 22,2026, I did not have any issues with the services that I received at this Jiffy Lube location. At a previous visit, I had been given a diagnosis of an oil leak and an estimate to repair it. My engine has been rebuilt, and I am very aware of my oil levels which I monitor by regularly checking myself, adding oil as necessary, and having oil changes every 3,000 miles instead of the recommended 5,000 miles. I was driving to Indiana that day so I wanted the leak fixed. I had the leak fixed and made my trip. I felt that my car was not driving as it had. When I stopped for gas for the trip back, I decided to check the oil and found that I had to add 3 quarts for it to show on the dipstick. I immediately called and was told to go to a location in Indiana, which I did. That location confirmed that the repair was done correctly and that it did not appear that oil was leaking. This means that oil was not added after the repair which obviously can cause serious damage to the engine. When my car was still not driving like it had prior to the repair, I returned to this location and asked to try a simple remedy of changing the NGK spark plugs that were installed during the repair back to AC Delco plugs. I'd had AC Delco installed about 5 months prior so that was what was in my car before this oil leak repair. That previous mechanic informed me that my car must have AC Delco spark plugs for optimal performance. I was told that I would have to pay for AC Delco plugs if I wanted them and that no one there could offer a refund or any type of resolution. I was just offered the advice that I shouldn't take long trips in my car and that maybe I would have to get another engine. After asking who had the authority to come up with a solution, I was told that the manager would be in the next day and would contact me. I waited for a call and did not receive one. I had a mechanic check the repairs and he found that the spark plugs were not gapped correctly and one was not installed properly. He corrected this but I have continued to have issues. I contacted Jiffy Lube corporate and received a reply that they would reach out to the owner of this location and ask them to contact me. When I got no reply, I again asked corporate to reach out, asking them to let me know if I would be contacted by phone or email (in case I had missed a call). I was reminded that although they would reach out again, each location is individually owned so there was nothing else corporate could do. I still did not receive communication. I called the Yorkville location and asked for the owner's contact information. I was told to look online and found that the owner of this location is shown to own at least 3 others in the Chicago area. I called one of the locations in Oak Park and spoke to that manager. After I explained my problem to her, she said that she would ask the manager in Yorkville to contact me and if he didn't, to call her back. No communication. I called back and she told me to call Yorkville because he was there that day and that was all she told me. Because I have already done this, I should not have to call again to continue getting no help. Meanwhile, I have had worsening issues with my car due to unknowingly driving at highway speeds with very low oil, including that my engine burns much more oil, causing the need to constantly add more. Even before they repaired the leak I did not have to add this much oil. I have had the oil changed 4 times since the January 22 service and have had to add multiple quarts between changes (more than 20 quarts). Low oil also causes warping in the engine that then creates other problems such as failed gaskets and seals causing other leaks and damage which I am now having to deal with and have had to pay to correct. I have been forced to spend hundreds of dollars just on oil/oil changes, not including repairs needed because of this mistake, and that would have been avoided if this had been taken care of immediately. I have been extremely patient and have exhausted all of the avenues I can think of to get this corrected. I did not want to give a bad review for a mistake, but I now have no choice but to warn other people that this location (and possibly other locations) will not do the right thing when they make a devastating mistake like this. A customer should not have to go through everything I have gone through to try to get them to do what they know they should do. I now am out the money I was forced to spend and will continue to suffer expenses related to this. To fix the problems at this stage, I need to get another engine, which I cannot afford. As time passes and it is obvious that no one is interested in taking care of this, things are becoming worse. I have to constantly check/add oil in an effort to minimize further damage and I am very worried that I will get stuck on the road somewhere. read more

If you already have your vehicle here, I would call them to tell them you are going to pick up your vehicle to bring to another shop ASAP. Full Story below: **********6/4/2026 UPDATE **************** I brought my truck in a few weeks ago for a parking brake repair. It had gotten lodged in my driver side rear wheel. While there, the technician said I have 2 options, remove the mechanism and be without or rebuild the parking brake system. I opted to have it rebuilt. He called me back an hour later saying he had to slide out the axle to get it out and while he did that, he noticed there was damage to the axle shaft and it would be an additional $1300. I asked him to send me pictures of it. He called me back an hour later and said it was actually fine and the part he thought he was looking at was actually on the other side, but because he had to slide out the axle, I need to pay for differential fluid. Also, he said he was not actually able to rebuild the parking brake so he just ziptied the cable up to the frame and said I would need to take it somewhere else. Fast forward to (6/4), I noticed my driver side rear wheel started making a clicking noise this week. I brought it back to this shop to have them look at it. I let them know about the work they did previously and to have a look at it for me. They called me back and said it is damage to the axle and that I need to take it somewhere else because they cannot service or slide out the axle on a 4 wheel drive truck to have a look. I said, well what was your guy doing a couple weeks ago when he specifically told me he slid it out and also that I was going to need pay an additional $1300 for 'damage' he was seeing to the axle shaft teeth. Also, if you cannot slide it out, why did I pay for differential fluid. He said he will call me back and has to talk with his manager. Called me back and said their technician is saying there was already damage, he did not slide out the axle, and that he did not do anything (this employee is actually no longer with their shop, left a couple weeks ago). The best they can do is cover the differential fluid that they are not sure why I was charged for. He basically accused me of lying and said they will not be covering any repairs needed. ************* UPDATE 6/15/2026************************** 6/4: I took my truck to another shop for them to look at my axle to fix the damage done by this Jiffy Lube shop. They told me there is nothing wrong with my axle and the noise I was hearing is coming from the hub and the parking brake cable lever hitting the back of the studs and was due to the work they completed on my truck. I asked them if they can fix it, they said they could, but they do not want to touch it because the parking brake mechanism should have never been removed and left like that. After not hearing from the area manager or the owner of this franchise (even after emailing them when they responded to my Google review), I decided to put a complaint in with the Jiffy Lube corporate office on 6/4. They told me I would hear from the franchise owner within 72 hours and if I do not hear within that time, to reach back out to the corporate team. 72 hours came and went with nothing. I let the corporate team know on 6/10, they said they were escalating it and to let them know otherwise. Still nothing back from anyone at the shop by 6/14, so I let the corporate office know. They sent me a response on 6/15 stating that the franchisee told them that their district manager has spoken with me several times and I have hung up on them and no longer take their calls. THIS IS A LIE. No one reached out to me to discuss these issues or get an update regarding what the other shop had found. I let the corporate team know that he was lying to them. 6/15, I finally get an email (not a call) from someone with their shop named Mike (not the franchise owner as was supposed to be done). He states more of the same lies, but this time added a new one. The reason they did not replace my parking brake mechanism is because I DID NOT authorize the work. According to him, it was my fault the work was not done. On top of being called a liar yet again, he told me he spoke with the franchise owner and they will not be standing behind their work and making this right. They left me with unsecured mechanical parts which is a severe safety hazard. They are unwilling to correct this and told me to bring legal counsel if I want anything done. read more

After they screwed it up the first time, we took it back for them to install the oil filter properly which is literally screwing the damn thing in, but they screwed it up again. Normally I service my own vehicles but recently had shoulder surgery which didn't allow me to so I figured I'd take it In and have them do the oil change and tire rotation. Well unfortunately I'll never go back. First the oil change was taking forever and wasn't sure why, I just let it be. Then they moved my car into the other garage where the two post lift is to do the tire rotation. After a while in there I went to see what was taking so long there. They kept grabbing different sockets for the lug nuts and ended up stripping a few on the back wheel. I stopped them at that point and asked what the problem was and they blamed the lug nuts were bad. I know that wasn't the case and they used the wrong size first, stripped them then tried covering their ass. I paid and went on my way. I just went to change my own oil and now problem number 2. They either over tightened the oil drain plug, cross threaded it or used loctite on it because it won't budge. I've never had an issue with it in the 50,000 miles I've put on my car. I know accidents happen but come on. We need to do better at training our employees and making sure they know what they're doing before we allow them to work on customers vehicles. read more

Then, we watched a maskless worker wipe his face, nose, and mouth with his bare hands, pick his nose, and then touch our car. After seeing all the negative reviews I was a bit apprehensive to come to this location. However, I needed my oil changed and promptly. This location is the closest one to my house so I called ahead and they let me know they were pretty open so I wouldn't have to wait long. When I got there everyone was super nice and I think I was in and out in less then 20 min. I also loved that after checking everything and letting me know the things that need some attention like the cabin air filter, tires ect... they didn't pressure me on any of it! I found out the last time I went to yorkville jiffy lube they didn't reset my dash for the oil change a few weeks later the change oil light came on, this was the first sign something was wrong. two weeks ago I went to dekalb jiffy lube and and they told me that the nut to my oil pan was stripped. the way it was explained to me was the nut was part of the pan and everything should be replaced. the nice guy at dekalb asked me if I wanted to call yorkville or if I want him to since he was the one who found the issue. I told him just call and I would be right here to listen. after he was done explaining everything the jiffy lube in yorkville said come in and the will replace what's broken and the oil change would be taken care by them as well. so today I call jiffy lube in yorkville and they have been zero help and have no idea about the situation. they told me that they needed to call jiffy lube in dekalb and then they checked there cameras and they called me back and said they will replace the bolt and that's it. ok so now I need to figure out why I was promised a oil change and who spoke to who and by the end of my conversation with yorkville jiffy lube the manager Brian was calling me every name in the book and refused to tell me who the district manager was or email me his info. he went as far as to tell me his was going to fight me if I came to his store. so now I'm just wondering who is going to fix my car? anyways save yourself the trouble and don't go to yorkville jiffy lube. they don't even vacuum the floors of the car or hand dry the car after the car wash anymore. this place has gone so far down hill. read more

I went to them to get an inside and outside car cleaning. I walked inside to find out the exact carwash i was to purchase, because they have many, and i wanted the inside and outside cleaned. I was told by the woman at the inside counter to buy "the diamond wash" i think that's what it was called, and that they would wipe down my interior including doors and seats. I drove to the carwash and reiterated to the man that was taking my car, what the woman inside told me about the was I was buying, and I was told that they would not wipe down my doors! The man also went as far as to tell me, "we just try and get you in and out real quick" - REALLY??!! I couldn't believe it so i went inside. The woman at the counter informed me that a manager was on site, but she didn't know where i could find him, and that he was probably right because he would know better than her!! I think you get my point so i'll stop with all the back and forth that i went through!! The funniest part of this horrible experience, is i sat in their parking lot before i left and Google'd "Car Wash Yorkville" I chose one that was right around the corner and they were A-W-E-S-O-M-E - I'll go back there every time since, the wash was fantastic and the service was stellar. I am only giving a 2 star given I was able to get my alignment done and it was well done but the experience of getting mechanic work done was nothing short of terrifying. Vehicles are expensive and when working hard to attain them u don't want anyone acting like it's a toy. Had an issue so hubby change parts. Went for alignment and they tried to tell my husband it was something else when he is pretty good at doing a lot on our cars already so he knew it was bs. He brought it back home to change out other parts but still continued to have sensor issues. He took it back to get it fixed with them. They called charging us the 70 saying it was electrical and they don't do that. Brought it back home. Found DRC automotive on the other side of us thankfully and took it there. They changed one part to start and I figured the rest out immediately. Done and got a call within a hr. Jiffy lube hadn't even looked at my Jeep, just started it and saw the lights come on and didn't bother. Not to mention when picking up my Jeep, it smelled of rancid cigarettes like someone had be smoking in my car for a while. If u value ur vehicle I would think twice about this jiffy lube. read more

I am writing this to advise anyone NOT to go to Jiffy Lube for ANYTHING! For years I used them for the oil changes on our two vehicles. Last December I needed some additional work done for what I was told was a power steering leak, so I went back a week later to have that taken care of as they assured me they could take care of it. At the time of this work, I was then advised I had a sway bar issue and they could take care of the repair of that as well as they have a certified mechanic on duty. I went ahead and had them take care of that as well. After them having my care for 2 DAYS I got it back with additional costs having been added because they did shoddy work all along the way. I had to go to another facility and have the power steering leak repair redone because they PIECED the repair together and it wasn't done properly. Nope. Never again. Trusted jiffy lube locations for years, but this was their last chance. Technician tried to up-sell high mileage oil for my wife's SUV, even tho the mileage since our last visit was right in front of him. Nice try. When I declined a new air filter (you know, the one they replaced on my last visit), he said "ok, we'll just put your current filter back in". I noticed their was some leaf debris sticking out of the filter, but said nothing. Sure enough, when I got home & lifted the hood, the tech hadn't even bothered to remove with his fingers. Also be warned that JL will not scan/accept coupons stored on your phone either. When I said that this seemed kinda out if date, the guy ringing up my bill said "it ain't my fault, cuz it ain't my store". Thanks a lot jiffy lube. Wish YELP allowed zero stars. They didn't put windshield washer fluid in my car during a basic oil change, nor did they put that little sticker on the window to tell me when to do this again! How am I supposed to track my own oil changes?! C'mon people, help a sister out. Never again. I had been going to Jiffy Lube since they opened. It's convenient and the thought of making an appointment for an oil change was never something that appealed to me. Don't we have enough appointments to keep staight? Well, the last time I visited I realized it is time to start scheduling my oil changes. They left two different parts of my car's interior disassembled. One piece lying on the passenger floor and the other UNDERNEATH something I had on the passenger seat. Then there's the issue of price. Almost $40 for an oil change...please. You don't even put my car back together and I'm supposed to pay DOUBLE what the respectable businesses charge? I think not. I gave them an extra star because they are always friendly and the manager ran out to my car apologizing with two free car wash passes. I stopped in for windshield wipers this weekend at the Yorkville Jiffy Lube. Was a little shocked at a $52 quote but decided to go for it since I was already there. The shop was busy but there were several technicians working and things were moving right along. Before they started on my car an altercation flared up between a couple of workers regarding a car that had apparently not been checked in correctly. One guy was literally shouting at the other technicians about them not following procedures. This went beyond calling out a mistake. This guy was YELLING and swearing. The f-bomb is apparently a motivational tool at Jiffy Lube because it was dropped about 10 times in three minutes along with other colorful commentary. Another tech, apparently the subject of the tirade started digging through a trash bin looking for something related to the incorrectly checked in vehicle. He was also shouting and literally throwing things out of the trash bin. The altercation was totally unprofessional and went on way too long. I could tell it made the other tech uncomfortable. I left because I honestly did not want either of these guys working on my car. Get a grip we're talking about oil changes here. This was like life and death drama. Went down the street to Midas and had new wipers for $30 in about 10 minutes, with you guessed it - no shouting. Things are too volatile right now and I was genuinely concerned that the situation was about to boil over. read more

I went in for a oil change. Anthony was very nice and helpful. He also was able to replace my headlight, which is not an easy fix, as you need to drop the bumper. He was able to replace the bulb without having to do that and saved me a bunch. Thank you Anthony! I will be back just because of the excellent service you provided. read more

Terrible. What kind of circus do they have running here!? I stopped by to get a quick oil change and was very persistent about air pressure because of the extreme cold we are about to experience and i was hovering all 4 tires at 34. The service tech gave me paperwork saying everything is inflated to 39.....wrong. I go to menards for 10 minutes afterwards and I check my automatic tire gauge in the truck my drivers side good 39-38.....passenger side fluctuating 33-35. Clearly they did not check the passenger side pressure. So I go back and ask if they could air up my tires please. Sorry sir your going to have to wait we are busy. Fine but why did the tech as I specifically asked if my tires are all 39 say yes. So I leave and start heading home to fill them myself. Then I notice I have a brake light out... no one told me about. Then I notice they left half of the old service sticker torn up and looking like a mess. These guys don't care. Your better off going to a ma and pop shop. Or could I recommend gjovik or splash car wash in montgomery. I will be checking all my fluids because now I am seriously wondering if it is right. I'm not much of a complainer and would not have mentioned it if my tires could have been inflated properly even after I went back. They are way over priced charging nearly $60 for an oil change so I would expect premium service and didn't even come close to getting it. I will not go back there.
