I've had Kensington Pizza a few times over the years because a family member lives about 7 minutes away. Tonight, I needed to pickup up a pizza to bring home to Newington and Kensington was a convenient option. I ordered a large pepperoni and onion. The pizza didn't have a thick crust, but Kensington cooks pizzas in shallow pans that make the crust fairly crispy. The crust is decent, but not my favorite crust type. The pepperoni were standard size and good. The cheese and sauce were pretty good. The onions are thin strands and some strands got charred in a way that wasn't ideal. I've had pizzas from Kensington I've enjoyed more than this was one, but it was fairly good. I'd order from Kensington again if I was in the area. 3.5 Stars

Oh muh goodness

My nephew told me it was the best pizza he ever had. I was sold when he told me the crust was even good. This pizza place is small and mighty. There wasn't alot of staff but they are hiring. None the less the customer service was top tier. We ordered a sausage pizza and Caesar salad, bought were delicious! My salad was fresh and had the perfect amount of dressing, the pizza was layers of love. The crust was crunchy but soft, the sauce was yummy a tad bit sweet and the cheese was cheesing! Highly recommend and I will definitely be coming again!

Margherita pizza

Pretty good pizza for non NY style. It's Greek style so it is a bit on the thick side. I ordered a large margherita pizza and meatball grinder. Both were not exactly what I expected but were good. The grinders are a good deal for an 8 inch for about $6. I expected the margherita pizza to be a traditional margherita pizza with fresh mozzarella, basil, and tomatoes. Instead, I got those toppings on top of regular cheese pizza. The basil was cooked to a crisp. The meatball grinder wasn't exactly meatballs either. It was thinly sliced meat or maybe meatballs. Not complaining but putting out there. Taste was fine.

Questionable roast beef sandwich

I hate to leave a poor review but you folks really need to step up your sandwich game. I ordered a whole roast beef sandwich tonight and I was incredibly let down as to how much meat was on the sandwich. There were only a few paper thin slices of roast beef on the whole sub. I felt like I was eating just bread and lettuce. I know the price of roast beef is rising and I would have paid more money for a decent sandwich. I feel like it has potential but you can't skimp so much on the meat. It was pretty sad

Sausage pepper onion

Decided to grab takeout form here on Friday night. In typical fashion everyone ordered their own thing. A small bacon pizza. A meatball and mushroom calzone. A sausage pepper onion pizza. And finally Greek lasagna. All the food was amazing and since we don't. Live far still very hot as we arrived home. Love their food one of the best Pizza places in town. In fact I think we are ordering again from here this coming Friday.

Calzone

We were in the mood for pizza and wanted to try something new. We ordered a calzone and a special pizza. The outside reminds you of a classic pizza joint, it's Greek style pizza which I don't mind at all. The pizza was delicious and loaded with fresh toppings. Crust was nice, light, and buttery. The sauce has a little tang and was not sweet which I loved...not a fan of sweet sauces on my pizza. Calzone was filled up and really good. Wonderful little pizza joint give a try.

Apizza Heaven has been on my radar for a while because of social media. Until recently, I didn't…read morerealize they're so close. I decided to try AH on a recent Friday Night. I think I ordered online for takeout and my order was ready within a reasonable time. I ordered a large chicken pesto specialty pizza and a small specialty pizza with standard pizza mozzarella, fresh mozzarella, and piped ricotta. I also ordered a penne all vodka and chicken cutlet. The crust on both pizzas was very good. Good char. A good mix of crispy and chewy. The chicken pesto pizza was terrific. It has chicken cutlet slices, pesto, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella and ricotta. Really every part of this pizza was great. Highly recommend. I ordered the 3 cheeses specialty pizza almost out of curiosity, because I've never seen anybody go all in on those cheeses like that. The good news is, that within that pizza, were the components of a very good pizza. The blend of these cheeses didn't completely work for me flavor-wise though. Also, these cheeses produced a bit too much grease. I'd order just the sauce and standard mozzarella next time and I bet it would be very good. The penna alla vodka was a chunky sauce version. The noticeable chunks were mostly onions. I'm used to more of a blended version. I respect that this dish has its own vibe, but I personally prefer a blended version. The sauce flavor was good. The chicken cutlet was very good. I bet they make a great chicken parm. Service was friendly and efficient. Apizza Heaven won't win any beauty contests. The inside is functional. There were a few tables. The outside could use some attention. There were a few random things around the general area. I definitely noticed them when I was walking in. I think people would have a better first impression if those details are taken care of. Overall, I'd rate my experience 4.25 Stars. But I could definitely see getting up to 4.5 or 4.75 on future visits.

A year old gem hidden in a small neighborhood in Middletown, small dining area with a couple of…read moretables but with a marvelous service and a busy delivery service. Max was exceptional, always smiling and attentive. (My daughters find.) She wanted to try a different pizza place. What kid doesn't like pizza right? And she is very particular with her cheese. First bite she approved immediately. Good wings, I would have preferred them less oily, and great mozzarella sticks . As a bonus we brought a large pie for home .
