We LOVE the sushi rolls here! Always perfect! This time we tried the Crag ranoons which were good but could be crispier. The Green tea wasn't that hot or strong enough according to my husband. We got the big California roll that is deep-fried. It was huge and delicious. I will say it tasted a bit fishy at first bite like maybe the oil needed to be changed or that they fried it with other items that were fishy. The French kiss roll is still my favorite! There was only one server with lots of to-go orders (Sunday at 630) but thankfully we weren't in a rush. Still a favorite for sushi! read more

Much larger restaurant than it appears from the outside! The sushi was okay. I'd put it a notch or two above what you can get at a supermarket for sure but definitely not the best I've had. Specifically the rice lacked moisture and the fish wasn't particularly fresh. Maybe not fair because I've lived in Japan and have definitely been spoiled. We've been having a hard time finding a good sushi place since we moved to the area but I think the hunt is over. The only negative thing I have to say is that most of the sushi rolls have shrimp tempura and those are good but we like ours not cooked. It certainly wasn't bad sushi, that's for sure, in fact, I really did like it A LOT... So much so that I just wish the portion sizes (especially for the price tags) were bigger. My meal was pretty dang small (portion size wise) even though I feel like I ordered a ton. I will say, I'm VERY impressed with the waitress / staff because I ordered my food over the phone and the woman taking my order was very attentive and even called me back to verify a few things (I order very specific things). I absolutely applaud their efforts and nothing in my order was wrong! If I lived in the area, I'd probably get food from here again but not without trying other spots first... Salmon Skin is VERY important to me... And while I'm THRILLED this restaurant even had the option, I'm sad to report that the salmon skin handrolls I ordered were TINY! PS: it's best to eat at the restaurant or order take out over the phone... I checked Uber Eats prices and they jack them up SOOOOO HIGH and 1/2 the menu isn't even on Uber Eats too! read more

Miso was deeply savory, not a lot of tofu though. Veggie tempura was 8 pieces, onion, carrot, Japanese yam and pumpkin/acorn squash. Large pieces and the coating light and crispy. Shu mai and gyoza probably came out of a bag, but were fine. Suspect Korean dumplings as they were a mite spicy, but yummy nonetheless. They offer brown rice, which I appreciate! Husband had the House Fried Rice, a large portion with lots of meat. He was offered yum-yum sauce which to my shock, he LOVED! A nice, quiet place with good food! read more

The door looked so small, we didn't expect the restaurant to be decent size! The waitress was nice and friendly. We came on a late Friday night. The food was good. They even had fatty tuna (a bit pricer than others in town). The sake was also a bit pricer than competitors also. We love our food, surprisingly. We didn't want to be disappointed like the times from other sushi restaurants so we wasn't expecting that much. I do have to point out that the sushi was made with extra rice. Nevertheless, we will be coming back again to try other items on the menu. read more

I said ok and this is what I got. it's horrible. many sushi places let me just get a roll with masago, crunch, and crab mix all inside the roll. This place has a lot of good reviews so it sucked I didn't have a great time here. I went in not expecting super fresh fish, since it's inland. But the fish was so masked by sauces, you can't tell if it's fresh. The inside is small and pleasant, it was clean, there was lots of little plates and soy sauce bowls stacked on the tables. First up, the waiter was not friendly. He was kind of short at some points. Never cleared any of the plates I was stacking up off the table. Never refilled drink. I noticed on the menu there were no sushi rolls under $10. Normally a salmon avocado roll or spicy tuna roll will run you less than that. But there weren't simpler rolls like that on the menu. I ordered the Korean kimchi and it was lousy. Lacking in flavor and spice. Generous portion, but who wants to eat it. The eel sushi came out cold, but it was a nice presentation. Normally it's grilled in a toaster oven or by torch. The Alaskan roll sounded good, California roll with salmon, crunchy, and some sauce. I couldn't taste anything besides the strong sauce. It utterly destroyed the fish taste. Parts of the bottom of the sushi was made sloppy. The cucumber special roll had other pretty pictures! Mine was little fish and lots of krab and cucumber. The roll peices were much too big and the cucumber cuts were not conducive to holding a sushi peice. It's obviously gonna slide apart if there's no skin to give it some traction. It was too big for my mouth and messy to eat. I couldn't taste anything but cucumber and the sauce it was in. The seafood soup was a big bowl of miso with 4 shrimps and 2 beat up scallops thrown in. I like miso soup and it was the favorite thing I had here. The shrimp and scallops were a little done, but they were probably cooked and thrown in boiling miso, so its to be expected. They seem to do a brisk to-go service and there's a decent sized kitchen. There was adequate staff on hand, I saw 2 chefs, 2 wait staff, and 2 or 3 people in the kitchen. Ultimately the sauce-driven sushi is not for me and there's not a fun staff or environment I want to re-visit to try ordering something else another time. read more

My search for good sushi in Flowery Branch is over! Great little hidden treasure! I'd say this is the BEST sushi close to Flowery Branch. Generous portions, reasonable prices and best of all, delicious! I ordered the Jalapeño bomb (poppers) and they were amazing! I highly recommend them. They're not really spicy if anyone is wondering. And the monster sushi roll was very good. It was also a generous portion. I couldn't eat it all, had to take some home. I added eel sauce to my roll because I like a touch of sweet sauce. Stopped for a while last summer..So now I'm back and I got horrible case of food poisoning from eating here I order the 2 piece ell it had a long stop of fat on both pieces. Also got two pieces of octopus.. So rubber all inedible. The soft shell roll and the spice scallops.. Yum Yum.. I order the volcano roll, it was good but fell apart. Came to Kenzo around 9:00pm and there were no other patrons. The staff was about to close early because business was slow but they welcomed us in and stayed opened for us instead of closing early. I popped in on a Tuesday after a nail appointment. I was so surprised to see how many people were inside! Even at 8:15, people were still coming in. I sat myself at the sushi bar. The sashimi I ordered was still a tiny bit frozen during the first bite, I let it sit and it was perfect. (Good to know they are keeping it cold!!) I asked the chef which roll is his favorite.. he suggested the Bleeding Heart. It's fantastic! Apparently he created that roll for a Vday special one year. I'll be returning. Been eating at this place for a few years. My go to for sushi. Today tried to call twice to order take out no answer. Assumed they might be closed on Black Friday. Passed by later and notice they were open. Stepped in to place an order and was ignored while two other parties entered behind me and were serviced. Was asked to wait twice without taking my very small order. Terrible service on the front end. Will not be back. Go the Mika French Sushi if you want good sushi AND great service. They gave me a teaspoon to eat with and offered no miso soup. The price was outrageous and the only thing that was good was the pre-made frozen dumpling. I don't know what happened to have messed our order up so bad, but my guest and I ordered takeout and SPECIFICALLY requested for no Wasabi as we have a Wasabi intolerance. When the food arrived, only 2 sushi dishes out of the 6 we ordered all had Wasabi in the takeout box or touching the sushi. We ordered through Doordash and I specifically requested on the special instructions to NOT include Wasabi FOR EVERY SINGLE DISH. After calling them to see if they can do anything to remedy this, they said they can't and we have to ask Doordash (which was also useless). I dropped $50+ on an order I can't eat most of. So we came here on a Saturday evening and the service was terrible. We waited almost 2 hours for our food and still never got it! The place isn't that big so there isn't a huge crowd but I did see a few take outs come and go while we sat there. It took about 30 minutes to get our drinks and then another 30 to get the edamame and we kept thinking things would come out so we kept waiting. No waitress even came by to check on us or give us an update! After over an hour I finally got up and found one of them to ask how much longer and she said they were "working on it". There were 4 adults and 1 toddler in our group and 3 of us ordered SOUP (ramen and udon). About 30 minutes later she offered us some complimentary miso soup to hold us over so we accepted thinking it would be soon but NOPE! We finally asked for the bill for the few things we did have at that point and they brought the full bill (for everything we ordered) and 1 of the meals. Needless to say we left hangry and frustrated and will NEVER be back. PS- the large fish tank they have inside is filthy, not sure how the fish are still living read more

I got sushi here as a to-go lunch order. The raw sushi I had was warm and did not seem fresh. In one of the rolls I had, the shrimp tempura was completely burnt (pictured) . On top of that, the sushi kept falling apart and was difficult to eat or dip into soy sauce. This was partly my fault for not checking, but I barely got any soy sauce with my two sushi rolls, as well. I would not recommend this place for sushi. read more
