We came specifically for the tang soo yook and ganjang gejang. We were really impressed with how tasty they were. The crab marinade was REALLY yummy and the flesh was nice and jello like. Absolutely perfect. I wish rice was complementary because it's so glld to have extra rice with your ganjang gejang which can get salty. Resounding five stars. I went for lunch around 2pm (1/27/26). Parked in a lot to the side. Greeted warmly by two hosts and was immediately offered barley tea. Menu included several lunch specials and many familiar dishes. I went with pork shoulder. But first, banchan: this is a must for me, and Keo Ku shone. I was thrilled to see a full array of small plates, and they were great: bean sprouts, kimchi, black beans ... I was in nirvana. The main dish was superb, tasty and hot, served with a nice helping of rice, plus a glass noddle salad and a couple of fritters. I am not an expert, but I know what I like, and I love Korean food. For many years I lived in Queens (NYC) and was surrounded by a countless number of Korean restaurants; Keo Ku would fit right in; it is as good as any one of those I knew. The other night, me and my co worker went out for our annual we made it through the holidays dinner. We.made Reservation for a Tuesday night a 6pm. It was empty when we arrived. They sat us. We ordered cocktails but apparently the bartender wasn't there yet so we got our drinks in the middle of dinner. They were ok. We de decided to skip the BBQ because we knew their dishes were authentic and we wanted to try that. We ordered: Cheesy corn - really good but you have to eat right away or else the cheese hardens. The restaurant was really cold and felt the cheese hardened faster because of that. The flavor of the corn was really good too! Spicy Creole gochujang wings - we didn't find it spicy at all but oh my the flavors were sooo good! Finger licking good! I would get those again. Large restaurant with plenty of seating. Staff is very friendly and you are immediately offered tea or water. The menu has a wide variety of options to pick from. We have tried a variety of their stews and have never been disappointed, but because with their spicy dishes if you are not use to heat! The owner of Brian is always so accommodating and makes great recommendations around the large menu. The traditional Korean barbecue stuff is awesome accompanied by the BANCHAN -- but I find the real gems to be in the prepared foods. The budae jigae (kimchi stew with ramen, rice cakes, ham, hot dog, and beans) may not sound like it's amazing but let me tell you it may be one of my favorite foods in the world. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and their menu does a great job of introducing Korean specialties (even if you're a newbie) We had the bibimbap in the hot stone bowl with bulgogi, the scallion pancake (crispy, yummy, so fresh) and the egg soufle. We mostly got soup and rice dishes like bibimap and bu dae jigae, but the tonkatsu that my husband got was just alright. It was crispy, but not as juicy or tender as you would hope. Personally, I dont like kimchi so all the side dishes didnt matter to me. Glad it came with sticky rice though! On top of the delicious food, the service is spectacular! it's family owned. the male owner kept coming to our table to check in on us and gave us great recs off the menu. The female owner also stopped by a couple times to make sure we were tended to like we were someone important. And the waitresses kept coming by to make sure our bulgogi was cooking right. My wife doesn't make it two steps in with an iced tea, and he abruptly barrs us from entering because of a new policy on BYOB: "The restaurant doesn't want to be blamed if "the tea gets you sick". He's loud, aggressive, and like . . . It's an iced tea. It's not . . . Ebola. Meanwhile, new sign is up at the front, and they now charge 15 dollars for BYOB for beer or wine. It's finally summertime and if you're a lover of Korean food that means it's Bibim Naengmyeon season! If you're not familiar with this dish it's something you owe it to yourself to try, especially on a hot day. Bibim Naengmyeon is served in a cold metal bowl. It's made with buckwheat noodles that are slippery and have a wonderful chewy consistency. The noodles are nestled in an icy cold beef broth made especially for this dish. On top of the noodles is sliced Asian pear, radish, cucumber, sliced beef brisket and a cold hard boiled egg. Now comes the fun part. "Bibim" means mixed and "Naengmyeon" means cold noodles. So, what do you mix it with? Spicy red pepper sauce of course! The sauce comes in a bowl on the side, so add as much spice as you like. Pour it in and mix it all up. You also get vinegar and hot mustard, which you can add as well. This is my favorite Korean dish and Keo Ku makes one of the best versions I've had (all Korean restaurants have their own broth and sauce recipes). Keo Ku also makes some of the best banchan around, so you get that with your meal too. The selection always changes, but today I was served pickled beets, seasoned sprouts, spicy radish kimchi, sweet and vinegary cucumbers, Korean noodle salad, and of course, their incredible kimchi. This is all made in-house. But that's not all, you also get a bowl of cold, wonderfully flavorful soup too. All of this is included in the price, and if you like any particular banchan, feel free to ask for seconds. If you like the sound of this, but you're not into spicy foods, they also offer a non-spicy version called Mul Naengmyeon, which is basically the same thing without the spicy sauce, but trust me, go with the spicy! Now remember, this is a seasonal dish, so don't wait too long or it will be gone. Get to Keo Ku and beat the heat with some cold spicy noodles. You won't regret it! read more

I never visted Keo Ku in the Before Times™, but now in the Dark Times™ I'm a big fan. Ordering is super easy and portion sizes are generous. All of the banchan (side dishes) taste as good as I've ever had at other Korean restaurants. I can't comment on their hot pots, BBQ, or soups but the kitchen dishes - fried rice, bulgogi, jae yook bokkeum (spicy stir fried pork), and toppoki (chewy rice cakes) all exceeded my expectations. If you order for pickup they'll bring your order right to your car. It is easy to drive by, but don't fret. If you pass it by mistake or are approaching from the east, take New Road (with the shell gas station at the corner) and then turn right on Edwards road. Since we ordered a platter, it offered a choice from 3 soups. We chose the soon tofu soup. When you order anything BBQ, you'll also get a bunch of side dishes, rice, lettuce, and scallion salad. You can use the lettuce to wrap the BBQ meat in as you eat. You can also get free refills of the side dishes. Our waitress did well in cooking the meats on our table grill and cutting them up for us.
