Of all the No 1 Wok's in this world I had to walk into this one. No really once my nose got a whiff of all that amazing aroma coming from this kitchen I dropped what I was doing and walked right in. And I'm super stoked that I did too because this place serves up some incredibly delicious Asian Cuisine. First hand I can highly recommend their Thai Basil Chicken which is extremely satisfying and delicious, wow. Bill's Best Bite is when that White Rice mixes with that Thai Chili Sauce on the bottom, plus if you can also grab up a piece of that perfectly prepared Chicken, Yeah it doesn't get any better than that!!  And I know I'm not the only one who bites the Crispy Egg Roll and drizzles Duck Sauce down in there with each and every delicious bite, YUMMMMMMERS !! Usually at Chinese takeout places you can expect a tasty meal at an affordable price. This place is slightly better than the rest in that they do take care to cook the food fresh to order. The prices are higher than the average places. Atmosphere is non-existent however it is clean. Food is really good. It's fresh and you have the option to get white meat chicken which I like. My husband said the man behind the counter was very nice the both times we picked up. We even got a soup on the house. I think it's actually pretty hard to find a decent Chinese Takeout place but this is definitely my new favorite. I love their pork fried rice, lo mein, white meat general tsos chicken and vegetable fried rice. Nothing tasted off. The vegetable delight was great also. If I was to complain about anything , I would just like the fried rice to be white rice instead of yellow rice. But it's still good, just a small preference on my end. Was in the mood for Chinese so ordered delivery. The food arrived promptly and was still very warm. The egg roll was crispy, not soggy, and was filled with deliciousness. The fried rice was good- similar to other Chinese takeout. The standout star was the bbq spareribs. These were moist and tender and meaty- with a nice char on the outside. I was at work when I order take out from this place. I got the BBQ spare ribs with pork fried rice combo. Their fried rice is a little on the lighter side and could use a bit more seasoning, but the ribs were great. This is definitely one of the better Chinese take-out spots I've been to. The food at No. 1 Wok's is very good. I've gotten take out from there over 20 times and was happy every time. I never had gastrointestinal issues after eating it because everything was fresh and properly handled. You get a lot of food here and a few times the food was even 5 star. Ive been ordering here for 3 years. It used to be really good, but now it's just a place to order in a hurry because no good Chinese food delivers to my apartment. The whole bag of food smells like bug spray, they seem to be skimping on wverything but rice, and half the time the food just tastes disgusting. There is a really good chinese food place 15 minutes up the road that unfortunately does not deliver to me called Fortune City. I don't usually rave about fast food Chinese restaurants but this place really surprised me. I think the food tastes great, it's not too greasy, and all for a great price. I come here during my lunch break and it's conveniently about 10 min from my office. The lunch special is usually what I get and it's worth it. You choose from a set of dishes and then either a drink or an egg roll, which is all under $8 (however the credit card minimum is $8 I believe). After reading all the reviews decided to finally try No. 1 last night for dinner. The other 2 local Chinese places we usually go to are closed on Monday's. Well I am happy to say I am glad that they were closed! We ordered 2 combo's. One chicken egg foo young and one Beef LoMien combo. My husband I were expected just the average Chinese flavor. Or using an over amount of salt in place of flavor! This was by far the best Chinese food we have ever had! The menu has a very good variety of different dishes to choose from. I wish there a negative Star rating. The food was all mush. Egg rolls were hard. Scallion pancakes were like rubber. Beef was disgusting. We called to complain and they washed to pick the food up. Best Chinese takeout in the area! The food is never too greasy and always delicious! I don't know what they do to make their homemade ice tea but it's the best iced tea I've ever had. We used to come here regularly a long time ago, and I can't even remember why we stopped. Now that our kitchen has been out of commission, we've stopped here twice in the last week for takeout. And ... it's great! Here's what we've ordered: Pork Fried Rice - absolutely excellent! It's a simple preparation, but it works. The rice is fresh, it's not soggy, and the onions are cut in big chunks. I love that. The pork is really good too -- cut into nice sized pieces & perfectly cooked. Wonton Soup - I only get this when I feel sick, and this made me feel better right away! The broth was filling, and the wontons are nicely packed. You know how sometimes the wonton falls apart right when you try to pick it up? That doesn't happen here! The wontons are big & meaty & delicious. Sauteed Green Beans - not my favorite. They were unexpectedly spicy! But my parents loved them, so if that's what you're into ... you're in luck. Next time I'll probably just ask for them to hold the spice. Chicken Lo Mein - really good! Nice big pieces of chicken & lots of fresh noodles. They actually include water chestnuts in their veggie mix, and I looooove water chestnuts, so I'm kind of biased. But it's a great dish. I can't wait to try more dishes. They don't use MSG (yessss!), and their turnaround time is FAST. Plus, everyone inside is really friendly! After rock climbing in Fairfield, NJ I had to travel for work to Virginia. As it was almost 10PM, everything food-wise in Fairfield was closed. Hopped onto Route 46 West to hope and find something still open - No. 1 Wok had the lights on so I stopped in. Apparently they are open until 10PM on weekdays. Ordered Shredded Szechuan Pork and Kung Pao Chicken, both extra spicy. Received a quart of rice with both entrees. Total price was under 20$ and I had plenty of food for at least 3 meals. I would say it was average but quite good considering I was famished. Items to note are that they dont use MSG and use 100% vegetable oil.
