After being closed due to a fire, my FAVORITE location is BACK OPEN! Right there at 10 & Evergreen, you can choose delivery (Door Dash and other delivery services), or order online and by phone to pick up. Great prices and wonderful food. Ambiance is family friendly.

We breakfasted one Monday morning about 0800 am inside this beautifully appointed space with metro-Detroit memorabilia and Greek wooden art inscriptions throughout the dining room. Kerby's restaurant (and restroom)'s meticulously clean. Our efficient server was Robin. Our meals came to us hot and fresh and delicious. I ordered the Breakfast Special: the eggs were fluffy and hot, bacon was crisp; hashbrowns fresh off the grill, and rye toast: hot and well buttered. My companion enjoyed a breakfast sandwich reminiscent of home. He raved! He waited for a bit as the Iced Tea is made fresh. Well worth the wait! Price point is very reasonable. We felt welcomed as soon as we walked it. Kerby's in Southfield at Evergreen and Northwestern Hwy is unpretentious, friendly and good! I'll be returning with out-of-towners to enjoy!

Great service, good food, great prices. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by two servers who immediately sat me in a single booth perfect for just me. I decided to try one of the famous colonies and the lunch special of the day. Everything was hot, fresh and great!

Kerby's is a sentimental favorite. They have been around for decades and it's always a positive experience. Friendly service and kind people. The food is consistent. Their Coney dogs are very good. They use natural casing Hot Dogs, so you get that snap with each bite. I am very impressed with their fried fish! The cod is perfection! Crispy on the outside and flakey on the inside. My fish sandwich had a large, thick piece of lettuce on the bun, which prevented the oils from the fish making the bun soggy. I really appreciated that. Very well thought out. Pickles, tomatoes, and tartar sauce come on the side. I also ordered extra pieces of fish. They have a broad menu and you can get salads, burgers, sandwiches and more. Breakfast anytime too. Indoor dining available and carry out.

This is the best Coney in the area; too bad it's not open late! Everything from breakfast to soup to salads and Coney dogs is all delicious and fresh with big portion sizes. It's packed most of the time. I love the Kerby melt and all of their salads are huge and yummy. You can't go wrong here; I've been coming for 15 years.

Cheap fast and good. Coneys were on special for .99 which was great for me. A lot of people ordered breakfast platters and waffles, this place kind of reminds you of a bigger Waffle House but with more food options.

Three eggs, hash browns, toast and sausages. With coffee and tip, $10 at Kerby's

You will not go hungry here…read more Fast casual counter. Order at the front counter or self-checkout options. Salad bar style counter. Ordered two build our own bowls with chicken: Spicy hummus, spicy garlic sauce, salad, red cabbage, spinach, onion, yellow pepper, beets, carrots, parsley, pickled radish, pickles, chick peas, 6 piece falafel, two crushed lentil soups, regular fattoush salad. $55 I would ask for the hummus and garlic towards the bottom, so you don't eat it all at the top first? The falafels were being made as we walked in, they are good, super fresh, not overcooked, soft center, quite yummy. Even better with their spicy tahini too. They were the best part of our meal, hands down. The bowls are packed to the gills, super filling. Tomatoes, raw radish, Jalapeño, yellow peppers and cucumbers look a bit dried out or not super appealing. I don't mind the red cabbage, would like the pickled cabbage or turshi more. Bowls are still not too bad. Good about of chicken shawarma meat and toppings. No skimping here. The staffers are quiet, but attentive. The crushed lentil isn't bad, no rice filler at least. Not a lot of flavor, but tastes healthier. The fattoush looks sad with the dried out radish, cucumber and unripened tomatoes. I do like the spicy garlic sauce, spicy hummus options, along with the shatta. The fattoush is ok, the dressing tastes rather perfumed to me, my husband says it's really lemony. It takes some getting used to for sure. Tried their pineapple and pomegranate and tropical fruit infused water, but it has way too much sugar. Would come back for the falafel and the build your own bowl.

Falafel is crunchy with a soft interior. On top of bowl of rice and some toppings, together is a very good meal. Anyone try the rice pudding? It is not sweet at all, a healthy dessert I guess. Good texture tho. I don't like the 3% credit card charge. There are no warning about that.

It was fun to watch her work. Our waitress, Cecilia was the best we've experienced here. She was friendly, efficient, and kept our drinks coming. She reminded us about the happy hour specials. She was patient with modification requests. She cleared away the glasses and dishes no longer being used so the table was always clean. She even refilled our drinks after we paid and were still sitting at the table chatting away. I wish I had extra cash on me because I when have doubled the tip that was left for her. As for the food... the nachos are always a table favorite. I tried the chicken tenders with BBQ sauce - which I believe is made in house - it's pretty perfect in BBQ flavor. Also had the brussels sprouts with Parmesan and lemon aioli. They were quite tasty as well. (No photos this time).

Tonight I paid attention and all was right in my world. It's jarring when I don't. Still, throw up a yellow piece of tape or something. This is not drunk or wheelchair friendly. I wasn't either yet, so the coast was clear. We sat at the bar and it was vino for bestie- a malbec and a black cherry bourbon cola slushy and agua for me. Mike was our bartender / server and he made sparkling conversation like we were old friends. He just got back from Vegas. He went to Chinatown. Love it! The atmosphere is a light wood, sports bar feel, the tvs were closed captioned, and the menus had QR codes. There was a $30 ancho salmon on the menu. It came with my choice of side. I opted for the Greek salad. She got French onion soup and quinoa salad. Let's talk about my meal and why I'm giving 5 stars despite the whole front step thing. The salmon was perfect. It has a crispy red speckled exterior that was slightly spicy and very savory. Inside it was perfectly cooked and moist. It was just a bit less than an inch thick and pieces flaked off on my fork easily. There was no fishiness and I ate the crisp skin, which I never do usually with salmon. It was divine. It came with a side. The Greek side salad took up half my plate and it was piled high with a truly interesting and thoughtful array of quirky bites. It was weird for sure- but it worked. Picture a Greek salad in your mind. Ok this is not that. It had the usual crunchy lettuce with a light and tangy Greek dressing. There were vibrant and sweet red onions and feta. And then it got wild. There were crunchy pickled beets, roasted tomatoes that tasted like basil, sweet jalapenos, (Yes- you read that right!) crunchy fried garbanzos that tasted like Indian spices... It was the strangest and most deliberately delicious Greek salad I've ever had. I'm not a salad person. At all. This was the star of the show, but that salmon was stiff competition. Together, the meal sang. You have no idea the gratitude that swept over me after having that nursing home salmon at Red Robin for my birthday. I have been vindicated. This is the salmon I was meant to have. This is the salmon I deserve. I can now return to Las Vegas satisfied that Michigan did show up in a big way for me today. Thanks Vincetta Garage and Mike! Five stars! Fix your step.
