I just noticed on Facebook a truck for sale and sent a message about it for information. I ask if the truck was a 4x4 and was a limited and the person replied yes. We live about 125 miles away. The price on the truck sounded great for a black Toyota Tacoma limited certifaced. So I message back and get the location and sends me Kerry Toyota. The first thing that comes up is a two star review. So I continue on to pull up the ad for the truck. Not 4x4 like the salesman stated. I have never heard of a two star Toyota dealer and have bought several in my life. Good luck to this salesperson and the manager for hiring a person like this ! read more

Worst car buying experience ever. They are dishonest. Sold me a car that I have had numerous problems with ever since I bought it. Upon further inspection I found a pool of water under the paneling in the back of the car where water should never have been. It has apparently had flood or water damage which was never disclosed to me. According to the Consumer Protection Act it is considered Auto Dealer Fraud. I've filed complaints with Toyota but have not be contacted. Will never do business here again. read more

Took my Toyota in for some routine service but had to leave the car overnight. Shuttle service was very convenient. Came back the next day at the scheduled time. They messed up the interior of my car and tried to hide it by lying to me. When I called them out, they admitted their wrongdoing. They also charged more than promised. I will not be back. read more

Two totally different experience in Sales and Service. I leased a car for the first time through Kerry Toyota. My 2016 RAV4 has been excellent. The sales experience was exceptional and I would highly recommend a purchase or lease from Kerry Toyota. However... My first attempt at getting an oil change was not as pleasant. I called, indicated that I leased the car from the location and asked what I needed to do to get my first oil change on the car. They told me to schedule an appointment but a time slot was not available for at least 8 days. What? No effort to encourage me to stop by and they would try to squeeze me in, no effort to work with me as I had requested the next day, no effort. Disappointing customer service that will make me consider the service benefits when I lease my next car and who I lease from. I'm off to Quikstop Lube. read more

Horrible experience with service dept. All the times I had my car serviced here, I never have had an issue until now. May 2021, my 2020 Rav 4 got minor damage to the passenger side mirror. The mirror, the assembly and the cover were all inspected and picture taken of the damage which was on the cover only. May 24th, I took my car to Kerry Toyota Service for regular maintenance. While checking my car in, I showed the service employee the damage, this employee inspected the area and noted for the service department to please give me an estimate to replace the damaged area. It is noted that the damage area was the white cover of the passenger side mirror only. On 6/5, I took my car to Kerry Toyota to get the damage area fixed, the tech reviewed the damage area and looked over the rest of my car. My car went into the service area and 40 minutes later, the counter employee came out to the waiting area with 1 picture of a noticeable size chunk of the assembly area gone. That damage was not present upon arrival. Several people inspected that area and there was no damage. I showed the counter employee the picture of the day the car was damaged and told him that no damage was there prior to today. He informed me the new cover was on and even though there was a missing area that the cover would stay on. Minutes later my car was brought to me and I paid for the part and again reported there was no damage prior. I came home, took more pictures and called the service dept and sales manager to see about getting this new damage resolved. Service Mgr Jason called me on 6/7 and I took my car so he could look at it. He proceeded to laugh at me in the parking lot in front of customers, would not look at the original picture showing the damage. He said that the damage was not done during replacement of the cover. I have never been spoken too in such a demeaning and cruel way than Jason the Service Manager did today. We are looking to get another car very soon and unfortunately after this experience, it will not be from Kerry Toyota. We tried to settle this in a calm respectful manner but that was not the case with Jason the Service Manager. read more

I bought a used car from them in Oct/2018. I knew I got jacked on the deal, but I needed a car. I thought it was standard for dealerships to do oil changes & tune ups on cars b4 they sell them...obviously I was wrong. My car, 2012 Ford Focus, still had the original spark plugs, air filter, oil filter in them!!! Plus it had 6 (six) active recalls on it!!!! When I went to Kerry Toyota, the asshole manager said I bought an "as is" car from their "certified used car lot" & he was unwilling to help with anything!!! They slipped in a $2000 warranty in on the sale, but it has a $200 deductible! Sold me a piece of crap car & they are ok with that! Do NOT ever buy from there! They could care less about the customer!!! Money is their only concern! Screw them!!! read more

The service portion of my visit was 5 stars. My issue was Kerry Toyota's disregard for their customers's safety during this coronavirus pandemic. I did not see any employee with a mask on and no one observed the six feet apart protocol. I kept backing up to distance myself. I was not required to sign the paperwork when I was hesitant to use the employee's pen. The lounge had several tent-type small signs reminding everyone to observe the six feet apart protocol. No one, employees or customers, were staying six feet apart. I chose to wait outside. When I stated I was disappointed no one was wearing a mask I was told it was not mandated until May 11th. I guess Kerry Toyota needs a mandate to help keep their customers safe. What about the six feet apart protocol? The employee who told me about the May 11th mandate brought me my car - wearing a mask and gloves. A nice thought, but too late. If anyone I was in contact with was carrying the virus I had already been exposed. read more

In short work staff in new car floor is like to insult their customers and make fun of their demands or exceptions and i would suggest everyone to go to other places but try to avoid this dealer at any cost until current staff and sales guys or manager is there. In long explanations This was probably my worst experience at new car dealer in my life time; i mean seriously common people when customer comes in to buy a car that means they are here to buy it of their expectation not something that is getting pushed on to them and i think sales reps Dont have any experience of selling a car to customers at all and when i told sales guy i want this car with this specific features and than he goes who needs that features when you have iPhone or android smart phone and than i said okay what about some other features and he goes again with same excuse with finishing his sentence with "is that a deal breaker?", duhh it is. I came here to buy a car i want with the features i want in it and than he goes again "i am doing you a best deal in market and you should take it." And i was like that car has none of the features that are available in other cars in market and and you are still pushing me to buy that car even after repeating myself over and over again saying same thing that i want this feature in my car so if you have it than show me or just say no but stopping pushing that overpriced car on me So in the end i made offer for the car he was pushing on me and thats when manager comes in tells me with very rude face and behavior that if you want to buy this car than this the price which was even higher than sells guy said and than i said i dont want it i need this specific features in car that i want to buy and straight on my face he says "i am sorry i cant help you with that." Wow you could have said we dont have but i can try finding it for you if you are willing to buy that after i get. And we go back and forth about same car sells guy was trying to push on to me and i said i watched some youtube video of car reviews and i seen some car has this futures in the price range i am looking for so can you if Toyota has them and he insulted right on face saying "our customers buy their car after looking at consumer reports and not youtube which pissed me off so bad because in previous time i have bought 27 vehicles(15 trucks 12 sedans) for employer i was working for with help of youtube reviews and little online research and its been 7 years on my last vehicle and it is still working fine along with other 26 vehicles and he tells me i don't know what i am doing so this is the worse place to buy a car at i would rather dont buy a car but i will never come this dealer to buy a car and wont even suggest others to go there. To beth i am sorry but if you dont have a vehicle i want or cant get it for me than atleast tell your staff to say that upfront instead of pushing me to buy different vehicles and i did not say price range until your sales guy raised my frustration by making fun of me wanting vehicle with navigation so i had tell me if can sell me that vehicle for the price i wanted and my budget was right right where i can get vehicle i wanted ; so dont make fun of customers request and make them feel like unwanted , on top of that even manager makes fun of customers too; i feel like if there is no respect for customers in managers than why bother to get good customer service from sales guy or why even bother coming to Kerry Toyota at all. read more

They pulled a hard inquiry on my credit score without my full knowledge or consent. Made it clear from the beginning of the conversation that I'd be paying cash, no financing. Didn't matter, they still made the inquiry. They play ancient sales games with you and generally run a bad business. If you want to have an acceptable experience, do not shop here. read more

Deal signed with new car sales manager did not reflect what was discussed and agreed verbally with salesman. Got an invoice 2 weeks after signing with $1000+ fees. Came back to talk to manager, told me he would look into it and call me back in a few days. After 10 days, I called back left a message, never heard back from him. Toyota financial won't hear it and I have to pay invoice now... YOU LOST ME AS A CUSTOMER FOR GOOD Edit 7/26 in response to your reply: I was YOUR customer first before being Toyota Corporate's. I trusted YOU to return my lease and leasing a new vehicle. YOU are the one providing me with the information, so I should have been told that the excess mileage on returned lease was not included in the negative equity because YOU did the return inspection. No matter what, I would have rather had this conversation in person or at least over the phone, and not on a public forum but YOU did not call me back, even after I reached back a second time. I took my truck in for service on 02/17/16. When I picked it up that evening my radar detector was missing from the closed center console. The only people who had access to the truck during this time period were employees of Kerry Toyota. Probably more disgusting than the theft itself was how it was handled by the service department management. In fairness, I will say that they did check or at least said they checked the security tapes but what employee would not know where the cameras were? Their overall attitude was basically sorry about your luck because we have a disclaimer saying that we are not responsible for the contents of your vehicle. We also don't care that you bought the truck here, or that you have spent thousands of dollars servicing both of your trucks here. We are a multi-million dollar company so we really don't care if you come back or not. There will always be new customers to replace you. If you are one of those new customers or just a returning customer you have now been warned. If you cannot trust these people with the simple contents of your vehicle, how can you trust them with your vehicle's maintenance and potentially your life? read more

just bought my 4th car, this one was from the used car lot. I was disappointed in the service I received that day, When I bought a new car the service was 100% The used car buying was lacking much. I did not understand that it took long to buy the car I was paying cash and when they found out they treated me like lets get rid of him. The person that did the financing was rude and It just gave your store a black eye about the service. The sales man was nice as well as the manager that closed the deal. The person that did the paperwork seemed like It was an inconvenient sale for them and the time during the paperwork was not pleasant. My son was there and he even noticed it. This is based on my experience. I talked to Brad Simpson in the used car sales department. He was the laziest sales rep I have ever dealt with. To make it short and sweet, I asked him to get me some info on a used car they have for sale since the ad didn't have any info, I asked him to get me basic info; color combo and if it was a base model or upgraded model. When I told him I was calling from out of state he hung up on me. The worst customer service. Brad should not be with any company in the sales or customer service industry. He is horrible and for this experience I would not recommend this dealership to anyone and actually recommend to stay away from this dealership. Brad should be fired. read more

I have a 2000 Celica that I have owned now for 11 years. To put it lightly - I LOVE MY CAR!!! I ADORE this thing so much, it's pampered, beautiful, well cared for, babied! SOOOO when it needs a lil somethingorother, I don't go to some podunk shop (learnt my lesson on that one, went to a horrible place called Godman's Garage which is now closed)... I go to Kerry. They are always friendly, always helpful, FAST yet precise. Thankfully my car runs like a champ and has never had any serious problems; except for the O2 sensors that kept causing my Check Engine light to come on. After spending $200 at the podunk garage, I took it to Kerry... begged for mercy for my stupidity on not going to them first... they fixed it for half the cost, boom, no more Check Engine, no more O2 sensor problems. I take my car there for general check ups and service... example... it seemed (to me, anyway) that the car was running a little sluggish. They kept it for the day, test drove it, did whatever check ups and tune ups they could, FOR FREE, and called to say everything was fine, we topped everything off and did the 12 point inspection. I didn't know the whole thing would be free.. I guess since nothing was really wrong with it (paranoid owner here). The early-bird/night before drop-off is a lifesaver for us working folk, and the car is always returned to me smelling great (not smelling like a rank bar full of cigarette smoke... podunk man smoked in my car while checking it out... GROSS is all I can say!). Love me some Kerry! read more

I recently bought a 2013 Prius from Kerry. There were several reasons why we went to Kerry and no other dealer. 1) My husband bought a Hyundai from a Kerry dealer about 3 years ago and they treated him right. 2) The customer reviews on Edmunds.com were outstanding. 3) Kerry offered me an Internet price that was lower than any of the other retailers' pricing. When we went to Kerry, the salesman was outstanding--polite, helpful, knowledgeable, and no pressure. They absolutely honored the Internet price and gave me a very fair price on my trade-in. In a little over two hours, I drove out of Kerry Toyota in my new Prius. Oh, and their two-year maintenance package is a real bonus. Caren T. read more

Worst experience of my life! Bought a used car a year ago and was going to take it to mechanic before purchase. Slimy salesman said it was already checked by "Toyota " trained mechanic and they would take care of any problems and not to waste the money. Stupidly, I believed the thief and boy was that a mistake. After 1 week, car shook violently on the interstate and the rear driver side door wouldn't lock. Had to fight and raise my voice to the sales manager to get any help at all and in the end had to trade it in to get a new car at over a $1000 loss. I recently purchased a RAV4 Hybrid from Kerry Toyota. We are happy with the car, and satisfied with the price we paid. The problem is something they did without permission. When we purchased the car, we specifically told them not to run our credit. We were paying cash, and were in the process of buying a house. We did not want the hit on our credit report (their running a credit report lowers your number). Shortly after the purchase, we got a notice from Equifax, that they were lowering our credit grade, because Kerry Toyota had run a credit report on us. There was absolutely no reason for them to do this, and I specifically told them not to. They asked me for my SS#, but explained it was only for the purpose of registration and title. When I called and asked for an explanation, the finance people said they did not run my credit, and referred me to the "sales manager." His name was Charles Jenkins. Instead of apologizing, he made up a story about how they were required to run my credit to determine whether I was a terrorist, or not. Of course, there is no such requirement. No dealer has ever run my credit before, when I was paying cash. I am knowledgeable in this area of law, and there are no requirements, whatsoever, that they run credit reports on people purchasing automobiles. The condescending, and ignorant, manager, just kept repeating that it is policy due to non-existent legal requirements. Rather than assuaging my anger, he simple exacerbated it. They obviously do not know how to deal with customers. If you are planning on not financing your car purchase, you had better find a more professional dealership. read more

Worst experience ever....bought used car for our grandson Sept. 2015. First the car they sold us had a lein on it. Took us 3 months to get the title. The day after we got the car home it wouldn't start,turns out it had a GPS device on it that the finance co. used to turn the car off. had to have it towed and the device removed. Kerry did reimburse for this. Had to put a new battery in car...would't start. We finally got to give the car to the grandson Dec. 2015. Now the car has a major oil leak. What an embarrassment to us to give our grandson such a piece of junk.....have told a lot of people about this experience. So sad cars can be sold like this. read more

After turning in our first lease, 2014 Rav4, we were told the vehicle was in good condition and everything was good, we leased another car, 2017 Highlander. After almost 2 months we received an invoice from Toyota for over $500 because of the Rav4 we turned in. When we called to inquire about the charge we were told it was because the privacy/shade pull for the back was missing. We took this out and put it in our garage because you can't have it in and put a stroller in the back. When we told them we have the cover and would bring it back to them they said it was too late and the car was already gone and we just had to pay for it. No on ever contacted us or asked us about it. Also, the service department is no good either. I had a low tire on my new Highlander after having it for 1 month and I took it in for them to check and there was a screw in the tire. I was told that I would have to buy a new tire for $345, instead I shopped around and went to tire discounters and the tire was able to be patched and didn't have to be replaced. Unfortunately we are signed into a new lease but after this one is up I will looking at anything but a Toyota...and anywhere but Kerry. So disappointed and wish I would have just saved myself the trouble and stayed away from this dealership and Toyota. read more

Horrible place to shop for a car. I was told by them I had to have a phone bill in my name which I no longer have, paid for cricket just to get into a car and they offered me nothing but crap. A Honda civic that would not go into gear and a corolla that was dirty as can be and had a o2 sensor problem. Cheap fix they said, then fix it before you sell it. We went to Kerry today to look for a brand new Tacoma pick up. We were outside looking for at least 15 minutes before somebody came out to help us. We do not know his name because he didn't tell us. He was bald and had a moustach and a huge attitude. He really didn't seem like he cared if we bought anything or not. Pushy and read the fine print, that should be the advertisement. The service department is inept and made up of 18 year olds kids that work their way down a checklist, so be ready to go back multiple times and lose your vehicle multiple days. The sales department makes the service department look stelar. Typical car salesman, fresh out of school, no real job experience, lot vultures who don't even let you get out of the car before they are all over you who work 60 hours a week on commission only, they smell of desperation. Read the fine print if your not sure about buying the car, they will scrooge you anyway they can to get a sale. The salesman will push you towards some overpriced POS and then push a payment instead of talking price (stretching out your payments an extra 6 months). Then they will bring in the senior sales consultant who will say things like "well if you can not afford it why did you come out to the lot today", trying to bait you into a pissing contest. Just skip it, typical oily haired slicksters with no talent other than trying to fast talk and bully people into a sale. read more

I own a 2005 Toyota Matrix (Corolla) and after almost 3 years I finally received my replacement passenger side airbag cartridge today, 10/31/16. Here's my experience dealing with Toyota. After calling the Resolution Center several months ago, I was told that I would have to go through a local Toyota dealer directly, as none of them would speak to a Resolution agent, only a customer. So, I called my local Toyota dealer, Kerry Toyota in Florence KY. The service person there, Samantha, was very nice, and I was told I was placed on a list, as they only received 9 replacement cartridges per month and it may be a while. The CYA mailers from Toyota about the recall became more frequent then, once a week, stating the urgency of the problem and demanding that I take action. So, I called Kerry Toyota back last week, and they said that they now had a cartridge for my Matrix and it would be held for me to come in 8:30 am today, 10/31. I arrived on time, and informed them why I was there. As previously informed, I expected the wait to be two hours. Fine so far... Then the service person (dressed in a white lab coat for some reason) came to the waiting room, and tried to sell me replacement wiper blades and cabin air filter. I replaced them both within the last year myself, so I declined. (They could not have really examined these items, as they would have seen that they were almost new.) Bad sign- they're trying to make money on the fact that I'm there for the recall, on my day off no less. Then my car was released and brought back to the staging area, with the emergency brake (passive-aggressively, I suspect) pulled up so hard that I had to call a tech over to unlock the lever. Then, as I drove off, my airbag light came on. I pulled back in, and was informed by Doctor Serviceperson that it would cost $96 for the car to be examined for the airbag light issue, though it was obviously related to the replacement unit being installed. Rather than arguing my case, I simply turned and drove off, noticing that the Doctor misspelled my last name on the paperwork rather than listening to me. I conclude that since I was not a cash cow I was not worth their time and effort. read more

My wife and I went in ready to purchase a used truck. We know we are upside down on our Camry, however we also know its trade in is more than 15,000 which is what the used sales manager said he would offer and he can buy the all day for that price. Okkkk so we sit and wait for the price and to see if they can work up a payment. Salesman comes back with manager, 650 a month......really! We say no we asked to keep it around 330, so my wife and I talk and agree we can afford to go to 400 a month. Which we feel is a huge jump on our part. We tell our salesman, he goes off again. They leave us alone, stranded, waiting for an hour, 550.00 a month, we say no, they leave again, 500.00 a month. We say no, they leave for 45 minutes, so now we have been here waiting 4 and a half hours. They show back up and say have you considered a lease. At this point were over it. You start off at 650 go down to 500 but you have to make your unrealistic profit. We just wanted to purchase a truck. The next morning I call Toyota of dry ridge they offer 17000 for my trade in and let me know they have trucks coming in for me to pick from. Thank you. I bought a car from the Used car lot and have had nothing but problems with it!!! Since June the car has been in the shop and fixed 4 different times for different problems each time! The service team takes advantage of a woman walking in. First telling me that everything would be covered with my Powertrain warranty I bought, then a couple days later it was $650 dollars. That's only the first time it was in the shop. Then I made the mistake of towing it there the next time it stopped running thinking it was the same issue all over again. Big mistake cost me another $450!! My first thing to tell someone when buying a used car from Kerry Toyota or anyone is have it checked out by a mechanic you trust and DO NOT buy any extended warranties!! It's not worth the paper it is written on! Right now the car is getting towed for the third time and probably gonna cost me another $400! Not to mention the battery I had to replace the day it came back from the shop the second time and also the flat tire I had that night too. I can't believe they can sell cars like this with only 48000 miles on it!! This is the second time I have had issues with this company. The first time was in 2002 when I was buying my first new car!! I had other loans in my name before with a cosigner and had good credit. I left the lot with my new car and had it for a week before they called me back and said the bank would not approve my loan that I had to have a cosigner. They said they let me have the car on a good faith that I would be approved for my loan. So I returned my car to them and went to the Jeff Wyler Honda dealer down the street and purchased my new Honda Civic. Was the best thing that could have happened to me. Horrible experience! I would have given them zero stars if I was able to. I live 1 mile down the street from this dealership and was a motivated buyer. I had to pursue them multiple times and they kept saying I'll call you back in a little bit and never a return phone call. They didn't want to give me what I was looking for on my trade to make the deal work. I called Kings Toyota and the salesman I delt with (John Cronin) was the best! They gave me exactly what I was looking for to make the deal work no questions asked. He would call and text at any hours to give me updates on when my vehicle was coming in and when it was ready. Communication was awesome! Kerry Florence..........i have not heard from them in weeks and they could care less that I bought a car from another dealership. I literally drove 40 minutes from my house to get great customer service and deal with a dealership and salesperson who wanted my business. Pretty pathetic that I couldn't make that work 2 minutes from house. read more
