    Baked Lump Crab Dip
    Art R.

This is a great little restaurant right on the water at the north end of Chesapeake beach. We met some friends there for dinner last night. The restaurant is part of the Herrington Harbor complex. It's a neat waterfront property with some tables overlooking the harbor. Although it was very cold outside, the restaurant was warm and inviting. Our table was ready right on time for our reservation. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. We started with fried pickles and crab dip. The fried pickles were very thick, which made them unique. The crust seemed to be cornmeal based, and was extra crispy. The crab dip was very cheesy. It was delicious, but I wish it had a little more crab. My wife had the meatloaf. Tasty, plenty of beef, and a different take on meatloaf. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was excellent. Crispy and saucy at the same time. The grilled cheese and crab soup looked good - I'll add them to my must try list. Service, food, ambiance were all top notch. Get out of the city, and drive til you hear waves for a great dining experience!

09.13.25 My wife and I decided to head to Ketch 22 for an early dinner. When we pulled into the parking lot, it was completely packed, which worried me since I didn't think we'd need a reservation before 5 p.m. To my surprise, when we walked in the restaurant was only partially filled, and the bar area was empty, so we took seats there so we could also watch the college football games that were on the tvs. The bartender explained that she had noticed the same thing when she arrived -- the lot was full, but it turned out there was a wedding reception scheduled next door later in the evening. We already knew what we wanted before we left home: the pork tacos, which are a favorite of ours. My wife ordered hers with cucumber salad, while I went with the fresh-cut fries. Both dishes came out just as good as always -- flavorful, fresh, and consistent. Between the quality of the food, the relaxed atmosphere, and even some live music outside, it made for another enjoyable visit. We'll definitely be back.

Great view, great service and great food, what more can you ask for on a Saturday afternoon. This spot is located inside of a resort, however you don't have to be a guest to enjoy the good eats. Let me start by saying the server was very attentive and knowledgeable. I started off with an orange crush, which was tasty. Then followed up with a crab cake entree with rice and Caesar salad which was all tasty. I do think the price was a bit high for the platter--I feel like the cakes could've been a bit larger I would recommend the platter if don't mind paying $59 for it, however it can be a meal for 2 if you make it.

Ketch 22 was a go to for water side dining. We were quickly served and attended to like we were the only patrons in the restaurant. I had an appetite for light fare so I went for crab dip, Ahi Tuna Taco and a side of cucumber salad, which I loved by the way. So much so the manager Andrea gave me the recipe (sometimes it's the little things). My waitress Emily K was on point with her other menu suggestions and responsiveness. Food, service and ambiance was definitely a 10! We referred family there and they had the same experience! Can't wait to get back!

The customer service was great! Love the location as you can look out to see Chesapeake Bay. For the time of day, we ordered appetizers Deviled eggs and wings. They were delicious, well seasoned, and plenty for more than 2 people. For entrees, we ordered them the Ketchch 22 speciality burger and Rock fish nuggets and salad. Will visit again

Quite frankly, the atmosphere made this place worth coming to. We will go back. However, our shrimp was overdone, the crab quesadilla had about 2 teaspoons (not tablespoons) worth of crab sandwiched between an extremely flat (thin) and tasteless cheese. It was the smallest quesadilla I've ever seen. My husband got the pork tacos, which he thought were also overdone. It could've been that it was a very busy day, but flavor wise it was exactly what you would expect. The service was good. Our appetizer (quesadilla) came out after our food.

My perfect foodie bestie and I always get into something cool on the weekends. He knows I love the water so to end our weekend with a bang, he brought me to Ketch 22 for Sunday Funday! Oh North Beach, what a gem! Cute neighborhood spot, people had their boats docked, and were literally coming just to dine off their boats. We got an outside table, people near us were cool. We started off with deviled eggs, they were yummy! Had bacon on top. Good! Crabcake sandwiches hit the mark, comparable to some of Marylands finest I've had! We had cocktails because on Sunday we have Funday and what's a Funday Without a drink. We crushed a lot of crushes! The Yelp Verdict, come try! You won't be disappointed. Service was stellar and the employees were sweet!

Friendly service, nice community venue, fresh food, layered flavors of sweet and tangy and spicy. Comfortable bar area. Adequate dining space.

Stopped in for a quick drink before a rehearsal dinner on a Friday evening! The interior is clean and the bathrooms were tidy. I liked the outside bar you have a wonderful view and there is both indoor and outdoor dining areas. While I only tried to drinks, the food looked amazing. My friends ordered the fried pickles and they relayed that the pickles may have been cut too large. The service here was awesome. Multiple outside bartenders and many of them helped when our friend passed out from the heat. They were calm and followed policy which I appreciated! I definitely recommend Ketch 22!

I use the term "Catch 22" all the time so when I saw this restaurant use that play on words we had to try it out! Sitting smack on the water in North Beach, what a cool chill vibe on a warm Sunday afternoon. Just 35min from the crib, Ketch 22 was well worth the drive. The menu is pretty standard for waterfront restaurants in Maryland so we both chose the jumbo lump crab cakes. They were delicious.. All meat and very little filler. The bacon topped deviled eggs were just as delicious. Service was outstanding and the patrons were super friendly. I'm re-discovering North Beach/Chesapeake Beach. Eventhough I loved everything about this place, I have to try other restaurants before I come back which is the proverbial "Ketch 22"..lol

This is a beautiful restaurant! The vibes are amazing as it sits right near the water. Whether you choose to sit at a table, on the deck, or at the bar...the ambiance will be appreciated. The service is great. The drinks are excellent. And the food is amazing!!!

We came here at 5:45 on a Friday night and was told the wait was 20 mins. We waited 45 mins until we went back in and asked about a table. They told us we needed to wait even though we saw people come in after us and get seated. They said because we had a party of 6 (5 adults 2 under 3yrs old). We asked if they could put two tables together or even separate our group because it was going on an hour wait. They managed to find a table right then to sit all 6 of us. I ordered the shrimp tacos without the strawberry toppings and the tacos were good. I didn't care for the hard and soft taco that it came with but some might. They forgot the cream sauce on it but after they brought me some, the taco was delicious. I absolutely loved the fries and my Desert Rose drink was pretty good. My fiance ordered the fish and chips and that was really good. It tasted very fresh. The atmosphere was really nice. The place looked very clean. I liked the indoor and outdoor seating. The food did take awhile I guess because there was a large party there as well.i would come back and try other menu items!

I had originally made a 6:30 p.m. reservation for a Saturday, but she ended up running late so I called at 6:30 to push it to 7:00. Thankfully, they were able to accommodate the last-minute change, which I really appreciated. There are picnic tables out front, but we chose to sit inside. I ordered a variety of tapas including the octopus, cod fritters, crispy chicken wings, beef empanadas, and she ordered the seafood paella and a house salad. My friend absolutely loved the paella. My personal favorites were the chicken wings and the octopus; both were flavorful and well-prepared. Service was friendly, and our server checked in on us frequently, though there were a few hiccups. My chicken wings were initially forgotten, I was given another table's check, and I was accidentally charged twice for the wings. I called the next day, and Wendall, the general manager, promptly handled the refund, which I appreciated. Despite a few minor oversights, we had an enjoyable experience overall. The staff was especially kind. My friend asked a couple of team members to take photos for us, and they were more than happy to help, which added a nice personal touch to the evening.

The pita bread is thick and garlicky and oily and massive. The croquettes would be at the bottom of my list simply because they're dissimilar from any I've had before and a little bit underwhelming. The tuna was fresh but it's a small dish and not much to write home about. The lamb skewers have a subtle kick to them and they're pretty substantial. I'll definitely be back to try more! The standout for me was the patatas bravas--perfectly crispy potatoes paired with a spectacular garlic aioli. The truffle sheep's cheese was also outstanding, rich and flavorful, although the truffle honey didn't quite deliver on its promise--I could barely taste the truffle. It also only came with one slice of toasted bread, but thankfully the bread service helped stretch the dish (and even then, there was still cheese left over). The spiced beef empanadas were nicely crisp and satisfying. The grilled octopus, however, was just okay--slightly over-charred, which made it hard to fully appreciate the flavor. On the other hand, the paella salvaje was excellent, loaded with chicken, gaucho sausage, pork belly, chickpeas, and pickled onions. Definitely a must-order--but be sure to put it in early since it takes a while to prepare. For dessert, the flan catalan was a great finish--not overly sweet and nicely balanced. The wine list is another highlight, with plenty of good options available by the glass. We ordered the paella first and followed it with four tapas, which ended up being plenty of food for four people. Pricing came out to about $45 per person before tip, which felt reasonable for the quality and quantity. The interior has a warm, stylish vibe with lots of wood and dark tones, though it does feel a bit cramped--tables and booths are quite close together, and it can get pretty loud. Service was friendly and well-paced. It does get busy during peak hours, so reservations are highly recommended (they use Tock). Overall, a great spot for tapas with a lively atmosphere--just be prepared for some noise and tight seating.
