y husband purchased a beautiful 3ct oval diamond ring for me, paid in full with cash. We believed we were getting a great deal. Since I work in healthcare, I rarely wear jewelry at work, so in the first two months I only wore the ring about six times. One day, while parking in my driveway, I noticed the diamond was missing. Thankfully, I found it immediately--it had fallen inside the car door by the window controls. We called the store right away, as it had been less than two months since purchase. To my surprise and disappointment, instead of showing concern, the staff implied that I must have hit the ring on something, causing the stone to loosen. They offered to reset it, and their jeweler claimed there was nothing wrong with the ring. They also mentioned it had been resized but never admitted to any issue with the setting. The ring was returned to me the next day. Because I was now worried, I chose not to wear it for weeks. When I finally decided to wear it again--three weeks later--the worst happened: the diamond fell out again. This time, I didn't notice until I got into my car. My husband searched around the parking lot and, thankfully, found the stone. When we contacted the store again, the manager once more blamed me, suggesting I wasn't used to wearing a ring of that size. This comment felt dismissive and presumptuous, especially since she had no idea whether I had owned similar rings before. The prongs were neither broken nor stretched, indicating poor craftsmanship in the setting itself. Unfortunately, rather than taking accountability, the store has repeatedly shifted blame to me. I am extremely dissatisfied with both the quality of the ring and the customer service. I will not be returning to this store and cannot recommend them to others. I sort of knew what I wanted because I had picked my favorite at each shop previously. Veronica Reyes helped us, and she was amazing! She was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient as she help me pick out my ring. When I got it back, I noticed what I thought looked like a bubble in the diamond, and I asked to exchange it. My husband and I have always gone to Kevin Jewelers for all kinds of jewelry needs...sizing a ring, buying a watch, new battery and cleaning of various jewelry, etc. I took my wedding band set (3 bands soldered together) to have them resized. We filled out the paper work as I kidded with the girls about how my fingers are a bit too large now to wear them comfortably. They put the ring in a little envelope, I signed the paper and they said they would call with the estimate $$$ of how much the guy would charge to separate the bands, size them and re-solder them. I left and they called 2 days later to say that it would cost about $315.00. WOW! Yikes!! I told them to go ahead because I really wanted to start wearing them again. When I picked them up a couple weeks later, they took the bands out of the little envelope and they were gorgeous and shiny!!! I was so excited to put them on right then and there, that I didn't notice their mistake. BUT....when I got home and showed my husband he said that although they were beautiful and clean...they were off center. (See photos) I went back to the store the next day and never got angry or loud with the girls that came to the counter. When I showed the girls, one of them said..."It was already like this when you brought it in!" I said..."No...no it wasn't. I have a photo from 2012 that I took for insurance purposes and it shows the rings aligned correctly." Then they proceeded to try and convince me that..."Well, they look like they are centered to me. They must have already been like this when you brought it in." I reminded them that the girl told me that the repair/sizing guy would have to separate them because the 3 bands together were rather thick and they can't size them when they are soldered together. She then said..."No. They never separate soldered rings to size them." If this was true...(and I KNOW it is NOT)...then $315.00 is an exorbitant amount to charge to heat and size the rings. My cautionary tale is this...take photos of all jewelry you plan to take to Kevin Jeweler to compare to the finished repair job. I sent a letter explaining my concern to the head office and I got 2 replies that made me feel like they were patting me on the head like I was a child interrupting their Mama's bridge game. They offered no resolution. It's a shame really. Oh well...I guess we had a good run, but we will not be using them again. read more

I purchased rings for my husband and myself back in 6/19/22 My husband's. ring was rubbing on the bottom of his finger, and we took the ring back twice and they said there was nothing they could do because we purchased the rings last year, I was under the impression the Lifetime Protection Plan would cover this and they said it would not cover. Why don't they just sell used cars and jewelry together? Its basically the same sort of setup. Looking at jewelry in stores like this is right up there with buying a used car for me. Almost every time I get some guy in a cheesy suit with way to much jewelry on pushing crap I dont want. This location is inside the Pacific View mall...right smack dab in the middle. I went here to try on a couple of wedding bands the other day. My hunny and I are in the process of buying me a ring for our wedding coming up and I really want a black wedding band so we wanted to try on some black tungsten rings. I guess maybe thats where the salesman lost interest? We were pounced on by a salesman wearing one of those trademark bad suits sporting some ring that would make you think he was a wanna be rapper and wanted to show off his "bling" at the Pacific View Mall. You know you gotta look fly for the hunnies over at Piercing Pagoda. The moment we mentioned that I was looking for a tungsten ring his enthusiasm seemed to decrease. Sorry that I don't want to look for a gold ring with gold prices near 1300 bucks... Someone else maybe. He showed us a ring or two and seemed really annoyed in doing so. I would say "wow that one looks nice"...and I would just sit there. And after a while I would say "well do you think I can try it on?" and he would grudgingly get it out for us. Whatever you do don't go through the store financing. The interest rate is 29.99% no matter how good your credit is. The staff is not knowledgeable on their own store policy and they have no consept of what compounded interest means. The "LIFETIME" warranty they offer does not cover any of your diamonds that are less then 1/2 a karat and they will not honor their warranty if you do not have it inspected by a Kevin jewler. My husband is in the military so this would be impossible to maintain for us. One of the questions we asked was can any jewler perform the three month check and they advised yes. This is a lie because now the warranty is voided because you took it somewhere else. Whatever you do DONOT buy anything through them. I am only giving them one star because you can't write a review without any star rating. read more
