Very nice owner Kevin as well as a nice chef, loves to talk with people and be considerate to the needs of the customers. Ordered the famous chops and Turkey club for tomorrow's breakfast.

Wow, that Steak sandwich was delicious. There are not many hole in the walls in Pittsburgh, but this one is a cannot miss especially if you are eating lunch in Oakland. On Dithridge St in Webster Hall. Kevin, the owner, was a great guy. I'll definitely will be back.

You absolutely MUST make a pilgrimage to this hidden gem, located in the first floor of Webster Hall. Kevin epitomizes the spirit of Pittsburgh, reflected perfectly in his culinary creations. Every dish here is exceptional, offering very generous portions at great value. I've developed a system where I bring my own plate, and Kevin never fails to impress with his servings. The fries are irresistibly delicious- I couldn't resist devouring most of them before snapping the photos below. Although every item on the menu is outstanding, the chicken hoagie holds a special place in my heart

Food was great . . . Service was fast and the outside seating was nice. Wide variety of food and prices are reasonable.

Welcome to Pittsburgh! As others have mentioned, it's not easy to locate, you need to go in Webster Hall and follow the smell of delicious food. Worth searching it out! We enjoyed meeting Kevin and yes, he gave us free drinks as first time customers! The chicken hoagie was great, cooked to order. Fresh deli food and we split an order of fries on the suggestion of the owner. A wise call as there were plenty with just a half order. We also had some of the pound cake, made by "an 85 year old woman" who obviously knows her way around the kitchen. That pound cake was wonderful! Would totally recommend stopping by when wandering downtown Pittsburgh.

Philly and fries...but I already ate half cuz I couldn't wait

It's a proper neighborhood butcher shop on Butler Street, the kind of place that had mostly disappeared around here. They do whole animal butchery with meat sourced from local Pennsylvania farms, and you can feel how much the folks working there care about what they're doing. It's not a huge space, just a display case full of cuts, a wall of house made goods, and a small sandwich menu, but that's part of the charm. The staff were friendly and happy to point me in the right direction. The sandwiches are what really got me though. The smash burger is fantastic, a double patty on a challah bun with that special sauce, and you can actually taste the quality of the beef, which makes sense given the whole operation is built around good meat. I also grabbed some of their house made pastrami, and it did not disappoint, tender and full of flavor. Knowing everything is made in house, right down to the bacon and sausages, makes it even better. If you live nearby and don't have a butcher yet, this is the one.

Love the decor in the shop. There were many prepared food options in the fridge, as well as various cuts of meat/preparations of it. We got two sandwiches, the cheesesteak and the marbella. I dont think we ended up with the correct order because we didn't end up with a cheesesteak, but did not realize until we got home. I'm positive that if I went back to the shop they would've remedied the situation, but I didn't feel it was necessary! The sandwich we did end up with was good as well, unsure which one it was though. Very fair prices, and our dog was so happy we brought him home a bone as well! Looking forward to coming back and trying everything they have to offer.

Doors were opened for me, minor points discussed and service was fast. I was at an event down the street and stopped here to check it out. I saw an interesting selection of soups available and decided to try the stuffed cabbage soup. I ate it at a bistro table on the sidewalk. I thought the soup was great. It could have used a bit of salt, but the flavor was exceptional even without it. I ordered fries and was cautioned that they do not salt their fries. I was offered salt, pepper and ketchup packets to add myself. The fries were obviously fresh cut and double fried, being a perfect golden brown. The hit of the day was the pastrami. I ordered the standard sandwich, with cheese and deli mustard on good rye bread. I could have had my choices of cheese and condiments, but ordering the standard menu item gives me a better idea of what a place is all about. It is obvious that they take their food seriously. The pastrami was lean with great flavor. My sandwich came with a pickle that added to my enjoyment. The inside and outside were clean and well maintained. The people there were nice, the food good and the prices reasonable. You can't ask for more than that.

Maybe my expectations were too high but I think this is a kind shady and I feel a bit cheated. I don't think I will be returning anytime soon
