I was in the mood for something healthier, so I tried SoFresh for the first time since I was nearby. Ordering online was easy. I got a warm bowl with brown rice, spinach, cucumber, apple, edamame, citrus chicken thigh, and organic tofu. The portion was solid and filling, especially with the two protein add-ons at extra cost. I also tried the avocado creme sauce, but it was a little spicier than I expected, so I was glad it came on the side. Without it, the bowl tasted a bit plain. I'd still come back and try a different sauce or mix-in combo because it feels like a solid healthy option. Service is very nice - they accidentally gave me the wrong burrito upon pick up so I went back inside and told the worker what had happened and she very swiftly told me that she would remake my burrito fresh. she didn't give me a hard time and admitted that they had made a mistake. While my salad was super fresh and my husband's teriyaki order was delicious- the portions are small for what you are paying. My kale ceasar salad with shrimp was $20 and it was not a lot of food. I actually cannot believe I paid that much for a salad but I was really in the mood for shrimp. I would like to go in the restaurant and try something different and less expensive next time. This is the 2nd time of the last 3 times that we ordered for delivery, DON'T! and it was a mess. It seems this is the norm. I ordered the signature salad and added an egg, but otherwise kept everything. Well they got the egg and shrimp right BUT nothing else as in there's was nothing else in it. The salad was bland without it and it cost me $17. In addition we took the time to write out the exact description of how to get to our suite in the buliding we work in, to make it easier for the driver and once again they get lost, salad is warm, cold drinks were warm. I've never been disappointed by the quality of the food (hence my recurring visits) or the staff. All of my friends and family that I have introduced to their offering (especially the cookies) have been fans as well. I stopped in for lunch on Saturday for the first time and had a great experience. Despite COVID restrictions, the restaurant was still accessible and the staff friendly. There was plenty of outdoor seating and the restaurant was organized inside to facilitate food delivery and takeout. I ordered a bowl with brown rice, zucchini noodles, apples, kale, sweet potatoes, avocado cream, tzatziki sauce and steak and it was amazing. The zucchini noodles were cooked perfectly (a lot of places overcook them to mush), the sweet potatoes were tender, the sauces great, and then steak was perfectly cooked as well. The food was excellent, fresh, and filling. The portions were generous and I didn't feel stuffed like you do when you leave from Chipotle and you feel like you have grease and sour cream leaking out of our eyes. In summary, I was super happy with this place and the quality of the food. In addition, I had a chance to chat with the manager (I think his name is Tommy) and he was awesome. My boyfriend and I recently ate here immediately after a long workout. We didn't feel like cooking and there's something disgusting about unhealthier takeout options after the gym, so we decided to give SoFresh a try. I'm so happy we did! We both started with their mint lemonade while waiting for our food to come out. It had a generous amount of real mint floating on top as opposed to being flavored with a syrup, which made it extra delicious. I got the teriyaki bowl with salmon and he got the Cali bowl with steak. I never thought I'd say this, but my boyfriend is officially a quinoa convert! I've been trying to sneak it in for years but have never been successful. In combination with all the colors and flavors in this bowl, he loved it. My teriyaki bowl was fabulous (not too sweet) with a nice balance of veggies and rice. The portion of salmon on top was generous and perfectly executed. Their food is just awesome, great portions, decent pricing, and feels good kind of food. They have a mix of salad, warm bowl, and sandwich options to choose from. My typical go to is their veggie warm bowel with housemade sriracha. It's consists of brown rice, zucchini noodles, onions, mushrooms, and I top it with wild caught ahi tuna. The taste by itself without the sauce is fantastic, everything seasoned so perfectly, but the sauce is out of this world. I'm not a big sauce person due to the caloric burden but I consider this one worth it. For extra treat don't forget one of their freshly squeezed juice concoctions! read more

What I got was very thick cut, cold zuchini which was 90% of what was in the bowl. The little bit of broccoli and onions that came were freezing cold (suppose to be warm). I have been waiting for a place like this to come to Shadyside and SoFresh has answered my prayers! Yesterday, we went for an early dinner. I ordered a create your own salad and my boyfriend ordered a wrap. I loved that I could build my own salad and how many protein and topping options were available! When we got our food, we were both shocked by how large each of our orders were! (That is a huge plus because it was a little pricey, but again, comparable to similar concept places.) I really enjoyed my salad and he loved his wrap and specifically that it was warm and grilled! We enjoyed their outdoor eating area that looks out onto S. Highland!
