No show on scheduled date! Unprofessional! I want to do some landscape project before selling my house, scheduled an onsite estimate for yesterday. After waiting for two hours, nobody showed up. I texted him on yelp to ask but no response back until several hours later. The explanation was that he came and found some crew working at my property so thought the job was taken care of and just left. I had high hopes for Kevin being able to do the work and do it well, but like some others, he was completely unresponsive and I've given up. His phone message says to text him, so that's what I did, numerous times. I certainly would have understood if the job was too small or if he was too busy, but there was zero response, not even a "Sorry, can't do". Maybe someone who acts this way can also be a good worker, but that hasn't been my experience in general. So this isn't a judgment of his actual work, but thought people should be aware this can happen. Maybe there's a good explanation, but silence doesn't give much of a clue of that. read more

After contacting Kevin's Yardwork for an estimate, he asked for photos. I took and sent 10. I followed up with a message asking if he wanted to come by and take a look in person. I was then informed that Shoreline is outside their work area. The next day I received a message asking if I wanted them to put bark in my flower beds after they weeded. I replied that I'm apparently not in your service area. Got this in response: "Oh okay sorry, yea we service Seattle area mostly." I think I dodged a bullet. read more

I had such a great experience with Kevin and his dad - highly recommend! I tried calling a number of landscaping companies (4 and 5-stars on Yelp) to do a big spring cleanup, but no one would return my calls or would promise to get back to me (but would forget). Kevin & his dad responded to my email inquiry within 48 hours; called me to set up a free estimate only a few days out; and showed up on time just as promised. I received an estimate on the spot, but I asked them to come back one more time with my wife present because there were a few questions about the project I couldn't answer. They were very accommodating, and we were able to finalize the estimate and schedule the service just 3 weeks out. Today - a large crew arrived, and in less than one day they turned our horrendous jungle of a lawn into a beautiful landscape. They even provide bi-weekly lawn maintenance service (which we happily signed up for). In short - I have nothing but good things to say about this company. I hired Kevin's yard work 11 months ago to clean up a very overgrown yard. Fast forward and it's time for some yard maintenance. I instantly thought of Kevin's yard work because of the good job they did last year. This time the job was much easier since it didn't look like a jungle and my yard had pretty much maintained its condition from when they had last been here. We had Kevin and his crew come out to our home after a long winter and fall of neglect. We have a large front and back yard as well as a lovely "pollinator pathway" the city installed running the length of our block that they don't maintain so there was a lot of work. We hired this company to do weeding, clean up and to put some bark down on our beds. The quality of work was bad, three weeks later the weeds are already growing through the bark. Also the job is not completed. They were meant to come and finish by trimming some plants in the yard. They do not answer texts and the phone number mailbox is full. I reached out to Kevin for lawn maintenance and he confirmed he'd come look at the property the same day. He never showed up. He then stopped responding to my texts for a status update. Then he did show up without telling me and took tons of photos of my property. But after that no word from him still. He still will not answer my calls or texts either. For the most part, I think they did a great job and I'm happy that my overgrown yard has been cleaned up. This was the first time I had ever used a service for yard clean up work. I had gotten an estimate from another company and their quotes were very close, but I felt like I got more information about exactly what exactly would be done with this company. We had discussed the basic overall cleanup plan, but unfortunately I wasn't able to stick around for the entirety of the work session, and I think there were a few things that I would have requested done differently had I been able to oversee everything or there to answer questions -- like not cut so much of some of the shrubs and cut back some of the other ones further, and take out all of the weeds (dandelions). I'm also fairly certain that they might've accidentally broken one of my pathway lights but they haven't gotten back to me. about that when I asked via a text. It was probably worth $10 so I'm not going to push the matter and I can't be certain, though it was there before they showed up, and missing after. read more
