This was a horrible experience, we waited in line for more than half an hour just to get a seat at the counter, while people who came in the exit got started right away & rude people with out of control children budged in front of at least 3 other parties, service was rude & acted as tho they could careless since you are seasonal, none of the food was fresh, portions were small for the price, although edible nothing special, please save yourself a horrible start to your day, go somewhere else. read more

Not bad, like a previous reviewer said, FRESH food is the way to go. Service is rushed but pleasant, they need to OPEN the windows on those warm summer days. It was like a sauna in that place. (No a/c I assume) Parking is plentiful. Food is nothing special, but not terrible, it is good for a on the go breakfast or lunch. Old Forge is a neat little town, (albeit touristy). DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! I can't even give it 1 star because there is no rating for garbage!! Waited over an hour for our breakfast which was only a "stuffed waffle", eggs and pancakes. The waffle was one Belgian waffle cut in half with cold cream cheese spread in between and strawberries on top. My pancakes were crispy on top and peeled off the plate....can't even call the eggs, eggs. I don't know what they were and they tasted like crap. Told the waitress the food was horrible and left it. After sitting for an hour and not even being ale to eat the food.....nobody even apologized. Needless to say we will NEVER, EVER go back to Keyes again!! read more

We always enjoy our stops at Keyes. Simple, but nice. Great when you don't have to wait in a long line to get in. Reasonable prices. Decent breakfast without frills. We've hit and missed on service, but nothing keeps us from returning. If you are not happy with Keyes, drive down the road to the Muffin Patch. read more

Busy place. I was hopeful when I went in, but not impressed when I left. We never got the water we ordered. No refill on the coffee. The eggs came with cheese despite ordering them without cheese. And the 3 egg scrambled eggs were smaller than a 2 egg scrambled eggs at home. read more

We've only ever tried their breakfast menu, but the food is quite good. The waffles are especially worth a try.

My family and I have been going here for many years now, It used to be a great place to eat , but after just being there on 8 /25/2018 we ordered breakfast as we always start our day off at Keyes pancake house. My wifes eggs came out looking a strange pink color (weird) so she asked for them to be remade, they brought out the same eggs but chopped up so small you would need a spoon to eat them. We asked to speak to the owner about having these eggs taken off our bill as there was no way she was going to eat them, and he said he would not take them off our bill because he felt there was nothing wrong with them. We paid our bill and left for the last time. It is a shame that he lost loyal customers over a $1.00 worth of eggs . Should have made it right with us .This was not the first time that we have ever had a problem with the food from here but it is the first time they refused to make it right with us, Our entire family and friends will no longer eat at Keyes Pancake House ever again. We now go to Walts diner for breakfast right down the road on the same side of the street, turns out the food is even better and at a way better price too. Keyes in diner prices are at least 25% higher than they are on their website ????? beware , when we first went to Keyes many years ago our basic breakfast for 2 was $18.00 , This time for the same meal it was $32.00 Wow thats a 75% increase for the same meal. read more

Were there yesterday with our daughter's and grandkids. 6 of us. We were seated quickly, service was excellent and our food arrived in record time. The chocolate chip kids pancake was shaped like a bear and had a face made with chocolate chips. My husband and I always get the chicken fried steak with eggs. Last time we were there they didn't have it. This time they did not dissapoint. The omelettes were packed. Check for 6 including drinks was $78. Rude waitress, cold french fries, flat soda and a "Rubin sandwich" that consisted of rye toast with cold pastrami and cheese - not grilled. Watched the sandwich and fries sitting on the counter while the waitress chatted up the table near us complaining about the restaurant her schedule etc. I turned to ask her if she could bring our food but before getting a word out of my mouth she snapped "I'm waiting on your fries - you'll get you food in a few minutes! " This was said with the fries in plain sight on the platter with the sandwich. Hence, the cold fries. Sadly, years ago this was a great place for breakfast and lunch. read more

I will never go back to Keyes Pancake House!!!! I guess I should have known better a pancake house for lunch. I ordered a Philly cheese steak easy right? Bad roast beef on a small roll they ran out of peppers & onions your kidding me right!!!! The hostess pointed to sit over there and had no personality. The service was slow the bathrooms where dirty and they were sweeping the floor while people were eating. I'm at home and still don't feel well after lunch at Keyes Pancake House. read more

Years ago, Keyes was the place to go. The family had made a tradition of Keyes on the way out of Old Forge where we stay on vacation in the summer. Unfortunately, that will be no longer. The last trip to Keyes on June 8th, 2014 was one of the saddest things I have seen in a long time. There were 10 of us dining and the waitress took all of our orders. We waited for 40 minutes for our food arrive and watched as they set the plates on the counter as they were making them and letting them get cold. When we were all served, one in our party had not received his meal. We had to tell the waitress that he did not get his food. The cook never made the order for him so he waited an additional 15 minutes as he watched everyone else eat their meals. When the food finally came out the pancakes were runny in the middle. I asked that the order not be on the bill and the waitress said she would talk to the manager. The manager informed the waitress it was her fault and it was not being removed from the bill. I asked for the manager to come out and talk to me. The manager sent her back out to inform us that she was paying for the meal out of her own pocket. I have never in my life seen such poor customer service. The blueberries on my stuffed French toast were also frozen. We watched her write his order so it was not her fault that the cook never made it and then didn't cook it all the way when he did make it. I am not sure how that is her fault and why she had to pay for it or why the manager refused to remove the meal from the bill or come talk to us. It was an absolute disgrace. So very sad as Keyes used to be a great place with wonderful food. Finding a new breakfast spot in Old Forge for sure. read more

Wow, is all that my family can say. We had high hopes for this establishment prior to our meal. We waited without anyone even cracking a smile or saying hello for 10 minutes at the door. When we were finally acknowledged, the woman griped at us that she had so many tables already and someone should have already taken us. After getting a table, it took 10 minutes to even get a menu. At this point our experience had already been not so great. The restaurant was about 1/2 full. We then got our order placed...now 20 minutes after getting into the restaurant. It took a full hour and 1/2 since our arrival at the restaurant to get our food. Other tables got served before us by other food servers. Our food server was nasty and didn't even refill beverages. My husband refilled ours on his own. This was the worst restaurant experience that we have ever had. At the end, we spoke with the owner who just looked tired. She said a quick sorry and went back to her work. Save yourself time and just don't go here. The food was only ordinary as well. read more
