This was my favorite escape room experience. We had a great time at Keystone Escape games. We were in Dragon Alley. They were able to accommodate our group of 9. The rooms are spacious and there are multiple so your adventure opens up to more challenging puzzles. The hosts were great and added to the experience. We were all glad that we took a break from the casinos to enjoy this experience. We walked from the Silver legacy which is quite far, but doable. I would be cautious about the walk if it's a very hot day. Not much shade along the way. read more

We have completed both rooms with two different groups. Both experiences were amazing! We've been to two other places in Reno and Keystone Escape Games is by far the best. Special effects along with the engineering of the rooms/clues and carefully crafted props are realistic and give a true immersive experience. Other rooms we've been to have had broken props, lack of actual interactive clues other than locks and keys, limited effects, etc. Keystone's rooms strike the balance between being challenging enough as well as intuitive. Clues were hard enough to stump you but not difficult in the way that its impossible to figure out and the entire experience was extremely interactive. Staff were very friendly. We just finished and oh my god that was so fun. Honestly it was probably the best escape room I've been to, mainly because there was clear research done to make this Escape Room challenging but also fun. It was hard, but not too hard that I got frustrated, and if there were parts were I got lost, I would just look for another puzzle to solve in the meantime. The entrance may be confusing find, but once you get inside it's so freaking cool. Also the owners are so kind and cute. We were visiting from California and are definitely coming back. They told us that they're opening more escape rooms in their building (they have 5 so far). They're a small owned business but you would never think so when you go inside the rooms. It's really intricate. Also, one thing I would ask of the owners is to maybe add some puzzles to statues and maybe some hidden objects under tables. Mainly cause we kept looking under the props trying to find codes or symbols. But it was still really challenging and fun to do everything. Thanks so much for everything!! read more

This is my second time visiting Keystone Escape games. The Dragons Alley was just as good as the first game we played. It had just enough twists and turns to keep you thinking and the room itself was well decorated and very, very interesting and fun. We came for my son's 10th birthday and he brought a friend along. It was like wrangling cats in that room. The owner was very, very patient with the abundance of questions..and let me tell you, there were a lot of questions. Everytime I have been here the customer service and overall experience has been great. We have been to many escape rooms, and this one is by far our favorite in Reno. read more

My daughter and I were passing through Reno on a little family vacation and decided to do an escape room. Only one problem, we had my daughter's service animal and I wasn't sure we could bring her. I called and the gentleman who answered told me it wouldn't be a problem at all. We got to the room during our time slot, signed our waivers and got started. Our host, Lacey, did a great job of giving us the rundown of room, all while staying in character. We got started on the room and made good progress until we missed something. As Lacey described, we heard a "gong" sound and looked up to the monitor on the wall which gave us a clue. There were only two of us, so I think we needed more clues than most people might, but they were all well timed and not before giving us opportunity to figure it out on our own. The end of the game was a little confusing, but somebody better at decoding symbols probably wouldn't have much trouble. All in all it was a great experience and I would highly recommend! read more

Awesome variety of puzzle types that kept things interesting throughout the whole experience! Very authentic old Victorian style vampire atmosphere & decor, including costumes (for the employees) & a live bird! Absolutely beautiful, with no cheese! Very clear that heart and soul was given to this experience. While we have never had a bad escape room experience in town, this one has been the best! Great room! I wasn't sure what to expect from a brand new escape room business, but I have seen many that had several opening pains. I was pleased to find that Keystone Escape Games had none of those opening issues! This place was fantastic! First, they really put a lot of work into making a clean awesome looking aesthetic that was consistent throughout. Second, the puzzles were very clever and many were super original. Third, everything worked! We did not have a single issue with things being broken or not working the way they were supposed to. Fourth, it was really fun! We didn't find ourselves frustrated or confused, but rather constantly impressed and surprised. I highly recommend this room for first timers or experienced gamers. I expect this place will be a very attractive escape room business as they build more rooms! read more

My family and i decided to go check out Dragon Alley! I am so glad we did! We had a blast! The rooms are so well done. The attention to details is absolutely amazing! The whole family was participating in all the puzzles. My twin 9yr old boys were very into it. We escaped without any clues and I believe 2:30 seconds left. We have done a lot of escape rooms. So many that we have to go out of town because there aren't any left to do in this area. Keystone Escape Rooms are in the top 5 for sure. Staff was very friendly and a pleasure to chat with. We've been to nearly every escape room establishment here in Reno, so I can say without a doubt, that "Keystone Escape Games" is easily one of the best in town. Firstly they get bonus points for originality, as this place has the only puzzle room in our area with a vampire theme! The puzzles are varied and interesting, theyre not too tough, but not too easy either, we escaped with about 4 minutes left, however one of our group members had a nasty fever, but still, we prevailed. It's also worth noting that this place has the absolute best hint delivery system I've ever seen. They've created a way to give you hints without breaking your immersion. We spoke to the owners after our glorious escape, and we mostly just gushed about the room. They're clearly quite passionate about their creation and that passion is on display in the finished product. The only real flaw that I can think of, is that this place only has 1 room. But you best believe that whenever they make a brand new room, we will make sure that we do not miss it. This is a puzzle room that we will all remember for a very long time. I would highly recommend it to everyone, beginners and seasoned puzzlers alike. read more

We had a wonderful time doing Blood of the Original. Four of us did it together which seems like the right number of people. Any more than 4 might result in some standing around. Out host/game master Daniel was great, getting the vibe going from the moment we walked through the front door. The game itself was creepy, but not too scary for, say, a 10-year old. The puzzles were logical and on-theme, and the clues came when necessary. We finished the room with 9 seconds left to spare, and just had a blast doing it. This is my favorite escape room I've done by far. Right now they have only been only for about a month with one room available, but that one escape room really shows how high they set the bar for their own place. The couple who runs the place also personally built it I found out, after having a chat with one of the owners, and they genuinely poured in so much effort and creativity to creating the room they have open right now. I highly recommend checking it out my friends and I were able to complete it with a little time to spare and had a lot of fun with the puzzles which were definitely requiring brain power to figure out but still not impossible to complete. The room is designed really well and makes you feel like you are transported into a different era. I was recently in Reno & was able to complete 6 escape rooms at 5 different companies while I was there! Blood of the Original was our number one favorite! We did manage to escape, but only had 2 minutes left on the clock, which was refreshing as we often get out of rooms very quickly. I design & build escape rooms and have played well above 100, and really thought this room was something special! Staff: Our GM Zack was a great host, he was very friendly, and he did a really great job of nudging us in the right direction without being heavy handed (there were only 2 of us). Puzzles: The puzzles were well executed, interesting, and the whole experience was clean and streamlined. They fit the theme and were lightly spooky but nothing too scary. It's always really special to find an escape room like this that puts so much thought into the flow of their gameplay. Set/Lighting: The set was also clean and well executed. Essentially everything was eventually used for gameplay, which I really like to see (rather than heaps of distracting objects not related to the puzzles). The lighting was used cleverly to guide you along the journey, and the different props were spread out in way that would make it not feel cramped for larger groups. If we're ever back in Reno we will definitely be back to play their new room opening next month. Highly recommend you check out both rooms at Keystone if you can! :) read more

Maybe the best escape room I've done in Reno. The theming on the room was so well done - lots of original pieces used to design the room, it was dynamic with lighting, music, and sound, lots of great details in the all of the materials, and everything was very immersive, easy to forget that you are solving puzzles sometimes. The game master (Zachary) was fully committed and also so helpful. I don't want to give anything away, but this is definitely a great spot for a very immersive experience, with challenging puzzles, many of them straying from the typical puzzles you may have seen before, with lots of surprises. So when we went to visit them for thanksgiving this year, I looked for a good one for us to go to. This was a great experience. Story was good if a little creepier than I usually look for. We've definitely had some difficult rooms in the past, this one would also rank around those but would be considered a lot more doable which is key for people who love the experience of escaping. There was one puzzle I really hated at first because of the difficulty and thought it was a bit much, but looking back on it- though it was challenging, it was also a really interesting team effort. Wouldn't change it. If you are looking for a seemingly endless amount of fun and spooks, be sure to check this one out. Not only is it great to find rooms that are well thought out and detail oriented, but it's also a 1,000,000x better of an experience when the game keepers are clearly passionate and love what they do. WOW! Just WOW! I've played over 260 escape rooms, and I have to say, this location is top notch, fully immersive from start to finish, and I was incredibly impressed. As of today they only offer The Blood of The Original, but they'll be opening more games soon and I can't wait to come back. You can tell the owners put their heart and souls into this escape room, with clever fun puzzles and an incredible attention to detail. Their signposting (an escape room enthusiast term often used in conjunction with puzzle quality/flow) was absolutely on point. When we arrived they were dressed in period costumes, and we were impressed by the beautiful lobby and hallways before we even entered the escape room. Once we entered, everything from the set design, the sound, and the lighting was impeccably done. At this many games played, it's HARD for me to find unique novel things in an escape room these days, but here, I found a few things I'd never seen before and I was incredibly impressed.
