    macaroni and cheese

This is the Keystone stand alone Mac Shack, the Mac and cheese plain is good you can get many proteins added to your Mac to kick it up a notch. The postive and negative to this is each order is made to order. So the service can be slow. Be patient it is worth the wait. Mac and Cheese Made your way per request..

This is definitely a college food spot. The concept sounds great but the food was very average. Not much flavor to the Mac and cheese. I added chicken, crispy onion and jalapeño. The best part was the crispy onion. There jalapeño lacked any intensity and the chicken was plain pulled chicken. I ordered a large but a small would have been plenty.

Teeny tiny cookie for almost $2 I miss the giant skillet cookies :(

Back when Keystone was a full restaurant it was awesome. Delicious homemade ranch, half baked cookies in a cast iron skillet, yum. Visiting Cincinnati I wanted to taste that deliciousness I always raved about and have a bit of nostalgia from college. Unfortunately the restaurants have closed and now it's only the Mac shack. Decided to give it a try thinking it would be just as good, but I was disappointed. Definitely didn't taste the same, bottled ranch and a tiny cookie. For the price too it just wasn't worth it for me. $50 after all is said and done to have it delivered.

Monday's offer 1/2 priced Mac with a beverage purchase.

MAC WONDERLAND PRICE 5/5 On Mondays, mac is half off *with a beverage*. Beverages are about half the price of the mac, so you only save some change. However, regular price is only around 8 or 9 dollars and feeds at least two. LOCATION 5/5 Located near UC's campus and surrounded by other restaurants, shops, and Gettler Stadium. There's an open court where you can take in views of the city-goers as you eat. QUALITY 5/5 Loved the service. The staff was helpful in helping build a perfect mac. So cheesy, so hot, so yummy.

Beer can for size. This is the large I paid $3.25 extra for.

I had no idea the serving size would be so tiny. I ever paid $3.25 for the larger size. Think of the portion size of Keystone's Mac n cheese and divide it in half. That's the large. It the owners comments are true I was charged for the large but not given that. That might make it worse.

Black Sabbath Mac + cheese with stout-braised brisket and mushrooms.

Disgusting. I've been to keystone numerous times with a good-decent experience but this dish is absolutely appalling. The cheese sauce used in the macaroni is watery and tastes bad. The stout-braised brisket is cut in squares, (unlike the typical shredded brisket I've had before/displayed in their photos) chewy, disgusting and frankly 90% fat. This mac and cheese is inedible, the only positive being the undercooked mushrooms.

Seven of us came in for dinner and I have to say our waitress "Oriana"" was top notch. We put her to the test as we had a Vegan, a vegetarian a meat lovers and a senior citizen. Our requests were very exact and everything was perfectly prepared New to us was the black lentil bolognese. The sauce had great flavor. Our standards, Salmon and Pork Chops are always delicious. We hit the wine list with. La Cana Albariño and Roseblood Rose. The manager Darius made the rounds to make sure we were well taken care of. The meals are fairly priced and the food are worthy of the Chef's who prepare them.

Previously I hadn't tried any of the items pictured below and each one was absolutely fantastic! All of the ingredients complimented one another and the portions were filling. The service was amazing our waitress took great care of us. I was disappointed that the desserts I got to go were of smaller size than their normal portions, but outside of that everything was amazing. It was lovely to enjoy some fresh air since the patio area and adjoining dining area were open.

We sat at the bar and the service was outstanding. Anybody we had contact with was really nice. Their short rib ravioli was incredible. The cauliflower purée had such a perfect taste, and then adding the edamame, the crumble, the micro greens, the truffle, it was all incredible. We could've eaten more of that for sure. The other thing we completely enjoyed was the lobster and shrimp papparadelle. What amazing flavors! Of the things we ordered those were our two favorites. Oh my gosh, I almost left out the donut holes. Also fantastic.

I got the lavender lemonade mocktail which was delicious and refreshing without being too floral or soapy. For dinner I got the braised short rib which was so tender you could cut it with a fork. The bone marrow demi glaze I could have a bowl of that stuff is phenomenal. The broccolini was roasted perfectly but I felt the potatoes could've used more seasoning. My mother got the lemon chicken pasta, which was good at the time, but when she got home it did not sit well with her. All in all, I would come back for the short rib, and I hope Alara finds a new location soon. The inside is nice and romantic seating, but it is cold ... like bring a jacket and it seems it doesn't matter the season it is colder inside because I saw a google review that also mentioned the temperature of the dining room.

Jenna was our server and while she may be newer to this restaurant, she was a pro! She had great drink and food recommendations. Our meal was very much a "girl dinner". Cocktails from the Elderflower Gimlet, Love Getting Out There, champagne, and wine of course. Then instead of full meals we ordered a variety for everyone to share. For the table we had the Slow Roasted Meatballs, Broiled Artichoke, Burrata, and Frommage Fries. Everything was amazing! I wish we weren't too full to order more. Next time I have to try the Gnocchi Stroganoff! Instead of dessert we finished with Espresso Martinis, which had the perfect balance of sweet.

She made us feel completely comfortable and truly made an already wonderful meal even better. Exceptional service from beginning to end! The restaurant itself is adorable, modern, beautifully decorated, and has a lovely patio. But the service and food completely stole the show. We ordered several appetizers, including the bruschetta, fried green tomatoes, corn and ricotta dip, and pimento croquettes. I'm VERY picky, and I genuinely wouldn't change a single thing. Every dish was flavorful, perfectly balanced, beautifully presented, and cooked exactly right. The bruschetta was so good that we ordered a second round! The fried green tomatoes were perfectly crisp with a delicious sauce, and the pimento croquettes were crispy on the outside, creamy inside, and paired perfectly with the sauce and pickles. The corn and ricotta dip was delicious as well. Nothing was too salty, under-seasoned, overcooked, or missing anything. The flavors were spot-on across the board. For dessert, we had the peach butter cake with everything on the side. The cake was delicious on its own and even better with the ice cream. It's rare to try so many dishes and not want to change a single thing, but that was the case here. The food was top-notch, and Olivia truly made the experience. We will definitely be back and will absolutely recommend this place to others. Amazing food, amazing service, and an overall experience that went above and beyond.
