macaroni and cheese

This is the Keystone stand alone Mac Shack, the Mac and cheese plain is good you can get many proteins added to your Mac to kick it up a notch. The postive and negative to this is each order is made to order. So the service can be slow. Be patient it is worth the wait. Mac and Cheese Made your way per request..

Teeny tiny cookie for almost $2 I miss the giant skillet cookies :(

Back when Keystone was a full restaurant it was awesome. Delicious homemade ranch, half baked cookies in a cast iron skillet, yum. Visiting Cincinnati I wanted to taste that deliciousness I always raved about and have a bit of nostalgia from college. Unfortunately the restaurants have closed and now it's only the Mac shack. Decided to give it a try thinking it would be just as good, but I was disappointed. Definitely didn't taste the same, bottled ranch and a tiny cookie. For the price too it just wasn't worth it for me. $50 after all is said and done to have it delivered.

This is definitely a college food spot. The concept sounds great but the food was very average. Not much flavor to the Mac and cheese. I added chicken, crispy onion and jalapeño. The best part was the crispy onion. There jalapeño lacked any intensity and the chicken was plain pulled chicken. I ordered a large but a small would have been plenty.

Monday's offer 1/2 priced Mac with a beverage purchase.

MAC WONDERLAND PRICE 5/5 On Mondays, mac is half off *with a beverage*. Beverages are about half the price of the mac, so you only save some change. However, regular price is only around 8 or 9 dollars and feeds at least two. LOCATION 5/5 Located near UC's campus and surrounded by other restaurants, shops, and Gettler Stadium. There's an open court where you can take in views of the city-goers as you eat. QUALITY 5/5 Loved the service. The staff was helpful in helping build a perfect mac. So cheesy, so hot, so yummy.

Beer can for size. This is the large I paid $3.25 extra for.

I had no idea the serving size would be so tiny. I ever paid $3.25 for the larger size. Think of the portion size of Keystone's Mac n cheese and divide it in half. That's the large. It the owners comments are true I was charged for the large but not given that. That might make it worse.

Black Sabbath Mac + cheese with stout-braised brisket and mushrooms.
Cody B.

Disgusting. I've been to keystone numerous times with a good-decent experience but this dish is absolutely appalling. The cheese sauce used in the macaroni is watery and tastes bad. The stout-braised brisket is cut in squares, (unlike the typical shredded brisket I've had before/displayed in their photos) chewy, disgusting and frankly 90% fat. This mac and cheese is inedible, the only positive being the undercooked mushrooms.

From the moment we arrived, the hostesses were warm and accommodating, and the service throughout the meal was attentive without ever feeling intrusive. As someone with gluten allergies, I felt genuinely cared for. The team listened closely and offered recommendations that never felt like a compromise on flavor or creativity. We began with a dirty chai latte, aromatic and comforting, though I personally would have enjoyed a touch more sweetness. The dirty French, customized gluten free, was rich, decadent and deeply satisfying. It felt indulgent in the best way and showcased the kitchen's ability to balance comfort with culinary intention. To go, we ordered the crunchy chicken nuggets, fries and lemon ricotta pancakes. The fries were outstanding, perfectly crisp and addictive. My husband loved the pancakes, light and flavorful with a bright citrus note. The gluten free nuggets were enjoyable, though they did not quite reach the level I expected compared to the rest of the menu. Overall, Sacred Beast offers a dining experience where hospitality and thoughtful cooking meet effortlessly. It is a place that respects dietary needs without sacrificing taste or creativity, and one I would gladly return to.

But unfortunately, my Lemon Ricotta pancakes - part of Diner Breakfast - were waaaaaay undercooked - totally gooey inside. I brought them home to cook them more in my toaster oven - but even after that they had a weird, gummy texture and were too sweet. Disappointing.

I don't understand the hype around Wildweed…read more We walked in without a reservation and were able to sit at the bar. The bar scene itself was very boring, honestly one of the least interesting bar dining experiences I've had in a while. The food was mediocre and not memorable. The only dish I clearly remember, and probably the only one I would order again, was the watermelon salad. Everything else was fine at best, but nothing stood out or made me want to come back. I'm honestly surprised this restaurant is getting James Beard recognition. There are so many better places in the area, such as Colette, Baker's Table, and most notably Grist in Dayton, that feel far more deserving and seem to be overlooked. It makes me wonder if Wildweed has some kind of connection or ownership that helps it get more attention, because based on this visit, I don't see it.

I was greeted at the door with a small menu to precede the course themes and a glass of delicious sparkling wine. The restaurant was very warm, welcoming, and artistic. The mushrooms on the wall were stunning, and the themed pictures throughout gave it a down to earth feel. Everyone was so kind and the service was impeccable. I started the meal with a hot towel to clean my hands - it was this moment I knew I came for a treat. Each course was brought out in a timely manner, and explained thoroughly. The food was beautiful, complex, flavorful, and hearty. Each dish was crafted so meticulously. I could taste the passion for their craft with each bite. The drinks were also made perfectly. Overall, this was right in line with many Michelin starred restaurants I have dined in. I can't wait to come back and try the dining room menu. I hope that our city can support this restaurant and they will stay for a while. I'd love to come back for the chef's experience again when they seasonally change their menu. Thanks for a memorable meal, Wildweed.

It was clean and well decorated for an older building, however the service was slow. I dined in and you have to order at the counter. The he coney was good and I had no complaints however the 5 way was a different story. I wasn't at all impressed and it reminded me of Gold Star which I wouldn't walk across the street for. Given my opinions for Cincy chili across the river next time I'll go to a Skyline!

Oh. My. Gosh. SO so good…read more We started with the lavender lemonade mocktail -- which I absolutely added tequila to -- and it was smooth, refreshing, and dangerously delicious. 10/10 would order again exactly the same way. For appetizers, we got the whipped feta. Delicious, creamy, and perfect for sharing -- but fair warning: avoid the peppers if you're not into a little kick. They sneak up on you! My friend and I split the house salad and WOW. A complete showstopper. So fresh, the vinaigrette was bright and delightful, and those fresh bacon bits? Chef's kiss. It's rare that a house salad stands out like that, but this one absolutely did. Now let's talk about the prime rib. I typically do not like steak or prime rib... but our waitress recommended it as the best thing on the menu, and honestly the Yelp photos had already convinced me. When I tell you it was BOMB -- I mean it. So tender. So flavorful. Perfectly cooked. Paired with broccolini and mashed potatoes, it was a whole experience. To end the night, we shared the apple tart with cinnamon ice cream -- warm, sweet, comforting, and the perfect finish to an already amazing meal. Overall, this was a fantastic dining experience from start to finish. Great service, incredible food, and such a vibe. I cannot wait to come back.

I got the lavender lemonade mocktail which was delicious and refreshing without being too floral or soapy. For dinner I got the braised short rib which was so tender you could cut it with a fork. The bone marrow demi glaze I could have a bowl of that stuff is phenomenal. The broccolini was roasted perfectly but I felt the potatoes could've used more seasoning. My mother got the lemon chicken pasta, which was good at the time, but when she got home it did not sit well with her. All in all, I would come back for the short rib, and I hope Alara finds a new location soon. The inside is nice and romantic seating, but it is cold ... like bring a jacket and it seems it doesn't matter the season it is colder inside because I saw a google review that also mentioned the temperature of the dining room.
