All-you-can-eat buffet at Kentucky Fried Chicken?! Say what? Yup, this place has it. This KFC is located in Banning just right off the 10 freeway and why I even bothered to stop here was for one thing and one thing only: AYCE buffet. This is the first KFC buffet I have ever been to. I guess there used to be much more of 'em back in the day but now they have almost gone the way of the dinosaurs. The buffet costs less than10 bucks ($8.99 I believe is what I paid) AND it includes a drink. The buffet set up itself is located towards the left hand side of the order counter and is kind of small. They offer their fried chicken (original recipe and extra crispy), grilled chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, biscuits, cole slaw, Mac and cheese, apple turnovers, salad, and a couple other items. They only have one tray for each item and once they run out they are out for a while as it takes some time before any and all items are replaced. And some items can go fast: if they bring out a new tray of extra crispy I suggest u slump up on those lumps quick 'cause guaranteed they will be gone in less than 5 minutes and it will be take almost twice as long for it to be replenished. Biscuits too; on my last visit I grabbed three fresh ones when they set out a new tray, walked back to my table to set them down and grab my drink, and when I passed the new tray on the way to refill my drink there seriously was only two left on the tray (there looked like there was initially more than a dozen). Arrr, 'tis be shark infested waters 'round these parts! As far as the food went, it's KFC and it didn't taste any different than that. I admit I'm not a fan at all of their apple turnovers though. Did I mention their stuffing they had here? That was yum. All in all, I got what I came for and I certainly got my moneys worth. Hadn't received my order for over fifteen minutes. My order was a simple #2 (two pieces of chicken a side and a drink (dine-in). By the time I received my order they gave it to me "to-go". AYCE Buffet got my attention. Stopped by on a Sunday @ 230pm, after visiting relatives. Place was busy and full. Looked like after church crowd was finishing up lunch. Gave it only 4 stars cuz seating is at a minimum, so have somebody order at the counter and somebody else save a table. Food was always available and fresh. Chicken choices were regular/crispy, thighs, drumsticks & wings. If you're on the road and have hungry teenagers...go here!! $8.99 price is unbelievable for what you get. Jeez, you're gonna pay that for a just a McBurger meal & drink down the road. Staff did a great job keeping up...being friendly, available, clearing tables, adding food & running the counter. This review is for the buffet part of the restaurant, but might also be for the whole because when I was there a customer buying only a combo was so mad he yelled at the manager. The manager that day was a dark skin short Latina. She made the customer wait so long with no updates to his order until about 30 min. his order was cancelled because they didn't have anymore extra crispy chicken. Anyways, for the buffet part the whole time they didn't have chicken available unless you ask them for more and then you wait 10 or more minutes. They didn't have other stuff either, but we didn't care. We were their for a fried chicken buffet. Instead, we had a mashed potato, coleslaw, and corn buffet. Then beg them for chicken, but don't expect getting extra crispy chicken. I would suggest people to go to the chinese buffet across the street if you're looking to do an actual buffet. My husband and I went to KFC today. We haven't gone there in a long time. We forgot how good it smelled so we were looking forward to having it. We checked out the all you can eat good bar. The food was not fresh nor was the food being replaced with fresh food. So we decided to place an order. (Thought we would give it a chance anyway.) The workers were standing around and talking. The workers acting like we were bothering them. We were trying to help one of the young workers who was trying to figure out how much money to give the customer. Then he tried to get more money from the customer when he owed the customer instead. We tried to help but the worker ended up becoming so rude. We still decided on placing an order so we ordered a crispy twelve pc. bucket. When It was time to check out the worker gave us original instead. When we got home the chicken was extremely greasy, the wings had hardly any meat and the most important thing is that some of the workers aren't using gloves when working with the food. We got the buffet tonight and there wasnt any chicken in there. We have to ask for them to bring it out and everytime we go there we have to ask. The only tables that were empty were all dirty and the table we got was sticky and dirty. Even the chairs were dirty. I have been to this location a few times. When I go inside, the dining area is always dirty and never has napkins or lids stocked. Every time I go thru the drive thru they ask me to pull forward after I pay so that way their timer doesn't get high. Even when there is no one behind me. Every time I pull forward there is always something wrong with my order whether it be something missing or just wrong. I love KFC but this one needs to get things straightened out. Tonight (4/18/16) we stopped at the KFC in Banning and ordered their "$20 fill up" (6 pc gilled chicken, mashed potato, gravy, cole slaw and biscuits). Took the bag home, a 10 minute drive and was...severely disappointed. The grilled chicken was totally dried out and tough as jerky. The chicken was obviously cooked many hours earlier and left in the warmer oven to desiccate. KFC has lost a customer. read more

Dried pieces of chicken sitting for who knows how long.I let them know and finally after what seemed an eternity they threw a couple pieces out. They could have spared a leg. Has great food. The buffet a great deal for ten buck open from ten to ten at night. I go in very often and its always stocked great food salad bar col slaw there mash is the best. I always see there is clean. The bathroom are a big deal if there clean good place to eat there bathroom are constantly kept clean there parking lot is clean very clean area The employees are great very friendly. Mostly young adults working and I give them great credit for that. I always see them work as a team to get things done. The service is very fast and great. Really poor customer service. I ordered online and sent my son in and they told him that they did not have the order because they do not do online orders...huh? Yes you do.. I ordered it and was told to pick it up at this store! When I came in I repeated that I ordered online and that I was to pick it up here. Shift manager.. who should be fired... smugly says, "I do not know where you placed the order but we do not take online orders and I do not know who has your money, but we do not. I asked to speak to the manager and she replied that she was the only manager on right now. I demanded to speak to her manager. So she apparently called someone who finally taught her -over the phone-- how to find online orders! Really?? And guess what?!? She located my online order.. then said to me okay we found it. Then yells at the staff to get the order together. Then disappears in the back office without so much as an apology. At least one of the workers who got the order together sincerely apologized. He should have been made manager for the shift. Will not return.. would rather drive to Palm Springs area! My friend and I went to Banning yesterday to have lunch at this buffet. It was the first time I had eaten at one since I drove through Kansas more than 10 years ago. All of the workers were so friendly and helpful. The food was hot and plentiful, and the price was excellent...$7.99 for the senior buffet and included a drink. Let me set the scene: A cloudy, hot and muggy day with sprinkles of rain throughout. It was around 11am and we had decided to come back here after months of not for an early lunch. Not a bad deal really and rare for $9.99 all you can eat KFC that also includes a drink. My friend started off with a salad and myself started off with my first plate of some chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy and a biscuit. People started coming in including an extremely filthy dirty homeless bum. Now, First off let me say that I can sympathize with them but under that understanding he decided to stand in line and order. I got up and decided to get a second plate and than Bam!!!!! The overwhelming, powerful stench of urine, feces, and filth hit me so hard it started to make me gag and throw up in my mouth! The smell was so bad that even an employee who was in the dining room at the time had to cover her mouth and nose as she herself couldnt stand it either. Now, Here I thought that maybe he had ordered something to go but was actually purchasing the buffet as well and proceeded to handle and touch all the food and serving utensils as well. At this time the smell was god awful and we had to run out of this place so quick and actually threw up in the parking lot. Totally and completely disgusted we actually had to go and eat at Carls Jr next door as we actually never even ate after paying over $20. Afterwards my friend who has a much straonger stomach than myself went in and spoke to a manager about this and this was way too much and not to mention unsanitary conditions for the other patrons. He asked for his money back and she gave it and said that they had to serve him cause they had no sign posted to say otherwise. So you mean to tell me that even if they lose customers, people walking out and heaven forbid become ill from contamination they still were not going to do something about it?? Ridiculous. The food is ok, but make sure to check your drive through orders. They DO NOT fill out the orders correctly! And when I called to complain that my order wasn't correct, the women tried to tell me that it WAS! And that I was lying! The order wasn't even for me, it was for my wife! Complete incompetence working the drive through! And the NERVE to tell me that she did fill out the order correctly! I guess it will be back to Church's Chicken or Popeye's. While my wife likes KFC better, I will not deal with anyone who is incompetent, and then lies about it. Hopefully the franchise owner will have this person fired. This is a very good location specially with a buffet, very clean and organized, friendly and helpful staff. Don't listen to those comments that are complaining, every fast food restaurant goes through shit because everyone likes to show up at the place at the same time and expect their food in less than a minute and they like to complaint to get free food what a joke, get a life and don't complaint to those people who are serving your food just because your lazy ass didn't want to cook at home. I have been to this KFC a few times since my family and I moved to the area last year, and the customer service has always been horrible. But after tonight, I'd need to see a banner across the front of the store reading "under new management" for me to even consider returning. I went through the drive thru and they gave me the wrong order. When I pointed this out to them they argued with me about it... one employee even raised her voice at me. "You didn't order a twelve piece! You ordered a 3 piece!" I had my ear bud in and had my wife on the phone the entire time, she heard me order it and was completely frustrated to hear how this lady was arguing with me when I clearly ordered a 12 piece. The other employee had already charged my card for a 3 piece. The lady yelled, "just give it to him!" They asked me to pull around to the Carl's Jr. parking lot next door to wait for my order, I asked "why? How long is this going to take?" He said, "only about two minutes." I said, "then why don't I wait here, that's not that long." He replied, "because, we have this timer here...." then he seemed to get agitated while explaining and said, "forget it man!" Then stormed off. As he brought the food and handed it to me I asked if the sides were large as I originally ordered, because I needed to be sure at this point, and he snapped at me and said, "Yes!" And slammed the window shut. Still not trusting these people, I checked my order, everything was correct, but the guy was glaring at me through the drive thru window while I checked my order. The drive thru take out is pitiful at this location. This was the 5th order I've have made over a 1 year period and there is always some problem-order wrong, overcharged, or not fresh. Today was the last straw. Ordered the 20.99 10 pc meal about 12:30PM Mother's day and the biscuits were hokey pucks, the boneless chicken was hard and taddle-tail gray colored (not fit for human consumption), mac & cheese was warmed over but watery. I have been coming here at least 2-3 times a year for more then 10 years now, Used to be Great. But the place has really gone down hill in the last couple of years,Now the chicken seems like it's been sitting too long, overcooked and dry. Too Bad, I always loved how fresh and tender and juicy it used to be. Lately the service sucks, like one open cash register on a Friday night? Seriously??? And they forgot half the order. We got an 8pc bucket and 8pc strips that was on special. Got all the way home to discover no strips.
