Moved nearer the counter after 10 minutes and observed the following: dirty kitchen floor, area that assembles 'eat in' meals not staffed but food flowing out of the drive thru window going smoothly. Finally a young kid shows up and starts assembling meals and I get mine shoved at me without even an apology for being so late. I suspect this store has very poor management and except for the self-serving review by Lary C. all the other reviews says the same thing: dirty, gone downhill, bad food (yes my chicken was overcooked too and it wasn't the original recipe plus it was served 'to go' rather than eat-in). This KFC is one of the few that feature an All You Can Eat Buffet. It is the only reason to come here. The buffet has just about all of KFC's standard menu offerings.. served help yourself style. This is good, and bad depending on the customers; most seem to observe reasonable buffet courtesies, but it seems there are always a few who simply don't care. We understand that its a buffet, and you can take all you want, but really guys; some of the customers will literally empty the whole tray onto their plates! The challenge here is the KFC Management Team just "looks the other way" ... we have seen customers simply peel the skin off chicken pieces (with their fingers) and leave the rest in the buffet trays! NOW THE GOOD NEWS.. if you ask, the management will bring you fresh, untouched chicken from the back; fresh wings, breasts etc.. just ask! This use to be the best and I stopped by every time I went by, but lately they have the worst employees ever. Yesterday I ordered from the drive thru speaker. The girl couldn't understand what I was asking for. For example I would say breast and she would repeat corn. Since nobody was there I told her I was going to drive up to the window to order. She told me she couldn't take my order at the window. I should have drove straight out. I went up to the window and confirmed my order and paid for it. Ten seconds after I paid she told me to drive up to the door. I said why there is nobody behind me. She said she would get in trouble. She brought my order out and I looked at it. I thought I'd be the first to write a review for this place since they have had fast & friendly service on both of my visits. I ordered a large family meal & the cashier was nice enough to offer a special they were having, which actually saved me money & offered larger portions. Great, I'll take it! I find that most kfc's will make you wait for a special order. Not this place. They are smart enough to know that 6pm is dinner time. I pulled up to the window & it was ready. Went to drive thru and got the $20 fill up with fries. I was told it will take about 5 minutes for the fries and to park at the Carl's Jr. parking lot, which was right next to KFC and they will bring out my food. Well, while I was parked, I see all these cars after me that had already gotten their food. Some cars were asked to pull forward and waited for just a few minutes and the staff brought out their food, but seems like they had forgotten about me. I waved down one of the staff and he gave me a gesture like he was gonna bring out my food and then no one came out after waiting for another 5 minutes. Overall, I waited patiently for 20 minutes and still no one brought out my food. I have kids in the van, so I couldn't just leave the car and go inside to see what was going on so I got back to the drive thru line and asked for a refund and was told my food is ready. At that time, I was so upset and just wanted my money back. Horrible service!!! I asked for a manager and the cashier (her name is Jerusalem) claimed they don't have a manager on site at the time however she is the assistant manager for the shift. She did not apologize nor smile at all. I asked for my money back which I received in cash ( I paid by card and was told they can't put the amount back in my card). She did offer to give me my food that I ordered for free which I took it because I waited so long for it. When I got home, the fries were cold, hard and definitely overcooked; I ended up throwing it away. The chicken was also overcooked and dry. So disappointing, but glad I got my money back because the food was not worth it. I go to this KFC at least twice a month and I don't know why, but every time when I order fries, they always tell me it'll take 5 minutes for the fries and make me wait and park at the Carl's Jr. parking lot in front of the KFC drive thru. Went to this KFC tonight to have their buffet. This was the absolute worst. If I could give it less than 1 star I would. There was a bus load of girls from Bear Valley who had just left. So when we walked in there was a line of 6 people deep, and 1 cashier. The line was moving about 1 person every 5 minutes. Finally the manager made a brief appearance and I said isn't there anybody else available to take orders, it's obvious this guy behind the counter is swamped. She started taking orders, and I told her I wanted 2 buffets, so I paid, got our plates, and low and behold the buffet was out of chicken, biscuits and the Diet Coke was empty. I came here with high expectations. This is the first AYCE KFC I've come across in the last 8 or 9 years. Yes, way back then we had an AYCE KFC back in Kansas and it was awesome. Sadly, my expectations were let down. This place is way small. The saddest part is the AYCE doesn't have much selection. Recently my girlfriend was in town for memorial weekend and we decided to reminisce and go to KFC. I have not been to a KFC for many years but I had memories of living in Laguna Beach and occasionally stopping by the KFC on Pacific Coast Highway. My friend had similar memories of going to different KFC's during the time she raised her children and after they were grown. So off we went to KFC in Banning. We bought the eight piece original bucket and headed home to enjoy our meal. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. The chicken was cold underneath the skin which was greasy and soggy I'm sorry to say was a level of gray mystery gunk especially with regard to the Breast. Worst KFC I've been to and I use to work for one 25 years ago at 17. This KFC will not have some food prepared and heated. You need to wait 10 minutes from the time you order for Wings and 3 minutes for Potatoe Wedges. They say that those item are to order before making it. I didn't want to open my laptop while I was eating but when I opened the mashed potatoes and gravy I bought from KFC, I deeply sighed knowing I had to write a review. I only wish I would have taken a picture of the mashed potatoes before I started eating them but I was so hungry, I didn't think of it until I was nearly done with my second side: the cole slaw. Anyway, i didn't find anything wrong with the coleslaw or the yummy, flakey biscuit or the tasty chicken tenders from my big box meal; the 3 stars was because I thought it was ridiculous and I did not understand why I was served so little of the mashed potatoes. I mean, seriously, I think the measurement was literally 3 level tablespoons of mashed potatoes with a teasing drizzle of gravy on top. I was very disappointed. The least they could do is fill the already-small potato container 3/4 full and then add gravy. Im not going to go on about how much I don't understand the cheapskates. I am a very chill person when it comes to reviews, customer service is key. This place gets a 1 star, if I could give a 0, I would. First, waiting in the drive thru for over 5 minutes just for someone to ask if I am ready to order. It should be automatic to let the person know to either wait or order. While waiting, there were are two employees outside just chilling. I mean if I was on a break, I would have walked inside to let the front of the house know that people are waiting to order in the drive thru. That wasn't the case. So after they walked back inside, the drive thru guy says what can I get you? Not the correct response "sorry for the wait, what can I get you?" Cause you know customer service is hard to learn these days. Anyways I went ahead and order the 12 tender meal. The guys says let me see if we have that. What does that even mean? If you are out of something you should know, and let the customer know. As I pull up to the window, no greeting, nothing, just people inside running around like they are busy. Let's not even talk about the cleanness of the gloves they were wearing, that's a different topic. Then supposedly the drive thru guy named John yells and says you want honey mustard right? Who are you talking to? Me or the customer waiting for their food inside. Upon returning home, this is the "quality food" they talk about. Below is the chicken we got from this place. Cut up chicken, no where close to being chicken strips. So we called the place and asked to talk with the manager. We let him know that we didn't get what we order and his response was sorry. Then he goes on and says we never had any chicken strips, I don't know why they told you we had them. Very disappointed with this experience and KFC has lost my business all together. This is the worst KFC I've ever seen. Came in for the lunch buffet, most sides and chicken bins were empty so we had to wait for new food. When the chicken came, they only brought out a few pieces so the people waiting in front of us took it all so we had to wait AGAIN. There was no white meat which must be "special ordered". Since when are certain pieces of chicken more special than others?The dining room was a pig sty and my wife said that the restroom was so filthy she wouldn't use it. We left hungry. I have given this place chance after chance but every time they fail. Missing drinks, wrong orders and never any sauce. I had to just drive away before I got angry. It's not that hard to get orders correct...I cannot believe these people think they deserve $15 an hour. Totally laughable. Where do I start with this place? It has slowly gone downhill over the past couple of months. It used to be my go-to for late night food since I work graveyard. But the last 5 times I have went I've been laughed at and told quote on quote sorry we are all out of food. AND, it was at least a half hour before closing. It didn't just happen once, it didn't just happen twice, it happened on multiple occasions. It seems like the staff is a bunch of teenagers who does not care about the company at all. If I am lucky enough to catch them at a time when they do have food they always, and I mean always get my order wrong. On 7 12 2020 I visited this kfc in banning. I was disgusted by the way I was treated by the cashier at the window. Her name was corinne or corinna she may be white or Spanish but she s a older lady. I am so disappointed with my experience here. I placed an order for 2 chicken colonel sandwich big boxes. First, we were told there was only one chicken sandwich left and they had to give us two littles instead, no problem. We ordered two boxes with Georgia Gold sandwiches, mac and cheese, coleslaw and mtn dew. We pulled forward, paid, no receipt (which I realized after the fact). We had to pull forward and wait for our food for a bit, also no big deal. Out food was brought out to us and we went home. We got home and opened our boxes, first problem was that we had mashed potatoes instead of coleslaw. Second problem was the mac and cheese was dried out like it was scraped from the bottom of a pan, third is that out sandwiches were NOT Georgia Gold. I am so disappointed with this experience I will probably never go back to this location. It's really upsetting when you order something and take it home and it's not even just one thing that's wrong but pretty much the whole order is messed up. If I knew I had to open the box, unwrap my sandwiches, check my sides, I would have. At the same time, I shouldnt have to do that. Luckily Yelp let's me give one star or it would be zero. read more

We stopped in at this KFC on Ramsey St. in Banning to pick up two meals. My husband was trying to order through the speaker and the young man kept saying are you done, are you done? He'd barely gotten a sentence out. After going back and forth for several minutes, there were no other cars in line, we were finally able to place an order. For me: A breast and wing, original recipe, mashed potatoes, comes with a biscuit and I asked for 4 packets of honey. For my husband: Same meat, coleslaw, biscuit. Picked it up, there were only 3 honey sauces. OK, that's not that bad. WTH is honey sauce? Also we were not given utensils or napkins. So I get out of the car, walk inside, wait my turn and ask for said items. As soon as I walked in, no one was smiling or looked like they were happy to be there. Aside from anything else, that should be EVERYONE'S first clue that something isn't right. I was a nurse for most of my adult life and no matter what was going on in my own life, I always walked into work with a smile. Kindness is free. My husband said he's wait till we got home to eat, but I was very hungry. The chicken tasted like sandpaper and I almost choked on the first bite. That was all I could take. This is only our second time at a KFC location in the past two years because we don't eat junk food, but once in a blue moon it's a treat and that was a nightmare also. This is it. No more KFC for us ever. I read all the one star reviews. Obviously the owner of this franchise doesn't give a hoot about his/her business or they would do something about management/employees with so much negativity. This review is for the buffet part of the restaurant, but might also be for the whole because when I was there a customer buying only a combo was so mad he yelled at the manager. The manager that day was a dark skin short Latina. She made the customer wait so long with no updates to his order until about 30 min. his order was cancelled because they didn't have anymore extra crispy chicken. Anyways, for the buffet part the whole time they didn't have chicken available unless you ask them for more and then you wait 10 or more minutes. They didn't have other stuff either, but we didn't care. We were their for a fried chicken buffet. Instead, we had a mashed potato, coleslaw, and corn buffet. Then beg them for chicken, but don't expect getting extra crispy chicken. I would suggest people to go to the chinese buffet across the street if you're looking to do an actual buffet.
