We usually like KFC. This one is horrible! Often we are told to wait because food is not ready. That's frustrating but manageable. However, we have been shorted a food item every time we've went through the drive thru. This is a total of six times. Each time we've called or stopped to resolve the issue they've been nice about it. But, it keeps happening! We ask them to double check the order now and explain this is a frequent problem. They state it has been done and confirm everything is in our bag. Yet again, something is missing! I'm shocked at how poor this KFC is run. We now go next door to Raley's for fried chicken. Well... Here again (cuz it's the only place in galt to get chicken) anyhow, in the parking lot waiting behind THREE other cars. Now I was told "oh that will b a 10 min wait on your order, please pull around" now I KNOW the other cars were told the same thing... I was gonna come here and complain about my first time experience at this location. But looking at all the other reviews now i feel bad about this business. I was just gonna say how are they gonna just serve a thumb size or bite size chicken thigh. I've never seen a chicken thigh that small. They should send those unporportion small pieces back where it came from. But maybe galt just doesn't deserve a kfc. It's a really small town. This place doesn't even deserve any stars and only gave one star because yelp needs stars to leave a comment. The food here is just terrible and not what KFC should be. If I am paying a lot for a meal then please at least try to make it look like the picture. I've given this place lots of chances but from the managerial and cooking staff are very inexperienced in the food business. Customer service is #1. Food is very inconsistent and tastes different every time I've gone there. I've had chicken that tastes like fish making me believe that they are deep frying them in the same fryer. Made a to go order for the Yukon gold chicken and was once honey mustard tasting and sweet an on the next visit day the sauce is spicy and hot. Took it back and would not return without a receipt. The guy just seen me. I just wanted an exchange. But they would not do it. Forced to keep food I did not want. One big thing. DO NOT leave without checking to see all of your food is in the bag and check that is what you ordered. Many times I was in a rush and never checked my bags and very upset when arriving at home and had to return the the store. Not happy when you live 7 miles away. Stopped for dinner at 7:30 PM (KFC closes at 10:00PM); requested grilled chicken breast and was told they were out and if I wanted one I would have to wait 40 minutes. I got the impression that no more was going to be made. I then asked for any other grilled chicken and was told they only had wings. None were being made. We left and we went to Elk Grove instead. Additionally, Long John Silvers there was offering a $5 "hook-up" but there was nothing inside that advised was that entailed. read more

Finally have to post on this location. The worst! I live in Galt & love KFC, but I will not give this location not 1 penny of my money ever again!!! Wife went to get dinner there at drive-thru for family. She took my 2 young daughters with her. This is how it played out during ordering... Wife: I would like a 12 piece chicken all dark meat please. Order taker: So you want all DARK MEAT?(giggles). Wife: Yes, all dark. Order Taker: So you don't want any white meat? This place comes with dinner and a show every time. It's like the employees are on some reality TV show where they have to try and get through the hardest night of their life. It always look site a hurricane just went through the kitchen. The employees always always look like getting out an order is the most daunting task to undertake. If you order chicken at this KFC, the cashier always has to go to the back to ask if they have any, lol. I've only been here 3 times, and every time it was the same thing. At first I thought maybe it was bad day or short staffed, but I finally realized that it's just how that place is run. I've given up on this KFC. I will never go back. Not as long as there are other places to get Chicken, that actually have chicken. This Galt KFC is a 3 ring circus. Cold gravy, hard biscuits, ....
