Apparently KFC has a new policy. After you order, they proceed to go to the back, slaughter the chicken, pluck it, send it to the butcher to have it cut up, then send it back to the store, then cook it. It's a looooong process. Four pieces of chicken took 30 minutes. read more

Worst KFC ever!! My first job was at KFC back in 1980 when it was on Lodi Ave. That KFC was awesome! This KFC uses baby chickens! I have had Cornish game hens with bigger legs. The pieces are so small that they are overcooked and not worth the trouble to eat. The gravy is watered down and nasty and the coleslaw is dry. And they raised the prices! WTF?? Paying 20% more for 50% less food! Totally not worth it anymore. I am a long time KFC junkie but this one would make Colonel Harland Sanders roll over in his grave!! This is hands down the cleanest KFC I have ever been to. I gave them a bad review before, I was having a bad day and a careless employee messed up my order. But one employee over the whole store? Doesn't deserve a bad review. We recently came back on Tuesday for lunch. It was a pleasant visit and the staff was very nice. I LOVE the food here, let's start with that... but dear lord is their service TERRIBLE. I really enjoy KFC and have held them to a higher standard than McDonald's. Like KFC is Target and McDonald's is Walmart but every single kfc location has given me a Walmart experience. I cannot understand it. KFC food is so much better but they screw up my order EVERY. SINGLE. TIME... it's sooooo irritating. I don't believe in HAVING to check your food everytime I leave a restaurant. Why can't I rely on you to read an order and get it correctly? Having being to this location twice, I have met my expectations of KFC. If you're in the mood for CHEAP fried chicken then this is your place. The sides are OK, not a knock against this place. I have never found their sides to be top notch, I am going there for some greasy fried chicken and looking to be in a food coma there after. I do enjoy their biscuits. This is the worst KFC on the planet!! Extremely rude in the drive through. My daughter loves the chicken pot pie at KFC and they never have them ready. I'm waiting outside in the rain for25 minutes for my daughters meal. They make you wait forever when you go inside also and I can't stress enough how rude the employees are. Out of town guests offered to buy dinner, and I suggested KFC. The Bucket contained seven drumsticks and no white meat. I like dark meat but the guest strongly prefers white meat, and was certainly annoyed. Embarrassed me and certainly Lodi. read more

I've been to the KFC by the new Walmart twice now and walked out without being served both times. I've never dealt with worse customer service. There's 12 people working and one at the register. I was at KFC Lodi and ordered an 8 piece meal bucket. The teenage girl running the the register first tells me that they didn't have and green beans and it would be 2 to 3 mins. I tell her never mind and told her just replace it with coleslaw. I paid with my debit card and sat down. There were 3 people that came in behind me and they all received there food. Then after sitting there for 10 mins she tells me thier was no original that it would be 10 more mins. I told her I wasn't waiting any longer. I told her to get the manager and refund my $ 25.31. The asst manager show up and I told her to put it back on my card which was debit. She never told me that it was going to take two days to be returned to my account until I sat outside the store waiting to come back to my account. I have tracker on my card which transmit to my phone so I know when and where money is spent with a rolling total on my account. I sat for 5 mins and it didn't come back to my card. I went back in and some Spanish asst manager tells me that it would take at least 2 days before it was returned to my card. I told her it was debit same as cash and that she could give back to me in cash. She the tells me she couldn't do that because she put back my card. Which is bullshit. The one thing I didn't tell I owned a catering company for 15 yrs in Florida. She was lazy and I know she could have cancelled it going back to my card and give to me in cash. I will never come back to this place and I already have a call into Popeyes chicken to ask if they could put one of thier chicken joints here which is way better chicken. Part of the reason my boyfriend loves to come here is for the biscuits, it's his favorite part and he loves them. So we pull into the drive through to order his meal with no problems, and then we get to the window, they take his card, charge it, and as she's handing it back she says "so we have to give you another side in substitute of the biscuit since we're out." He gives a very obvious look of annoyance and is obviously upset because the biscuit is the whole reason he likes KFC. Not only was he annoyed that they were out, but 1st of all, she could've told us at the speaker box when we placed the order, then we wouldn't have even ordered anything if we knew. There's no way they ran out in the 30 seconds it took us to get from the speaker box to the window. 2nd of all, how the heck does KFC run out of biscuits?! That's like they're signature item. They should be making plenty at all times to ensure they never run out. 3rd of all, why did she wait until after she had already charged his card to let him know his order wasn't going to be right??? She should've informed us before, and we would've just left without being charged. Ridiculous. Not to mention, the rootbeer tasted very watered down which only added to our frustration. They didn't even seem to care about him being upset. This makes us not want to come here again if their customer service skills don't improve, because this isn't the first issue we've had here. I have not been back in along time as the staff was so rude. I went in to order and they informed me they were out of this and that but could substitute what I wanted for other items. I waited inside for 30 minutes and when I went to the counter to ask what was taking so long I got the ugly, stink eye looks from the workers. I will never go back to this KFC. I went to KFC on Kettleman 2 nights ago, and felt very uncomfortable as soon as I walked in. One big reason for my discomfort was the incredibly immature staff behind the register. Though there were a line of customers, they carried on with their horsing around and loud laughter. That's what you might expect from a group of teenagers, but the crew looked to be in their mid-twenties. While standing in line, one previous customer approached the counter and complained that part of his order was missing. Not long after that, an older lady approached the counter complaining she almost slipped and fell due to the pile of mashed potatoes that was left unattended on the ground near the soda fountain. I walked over to see the mess that she almost slipped on, and it was indeed an obscene amount of potatoes just sitting on the floor. After I received my food and dined inside, I timed how long it took the employees to clean up the potatoes. It took them over 15 minutes, and another customer complaining about it before they did anything to clean it up. The only reason this review is giving KFC 2 stars instead of one is because I can't complain about my meal, it tasted good. But I don't think I'll be returning to this restaurant anytime soon. read more
