I will agree with the 2 main comments many other reviewers said about this particular KFC location and the food/company in general; 1 I am a fan of KFC food. 2 this particular location is staffed by idiots that don't give a sh*t about customer service. How the hell do you forget a whole meal!? I have been coming to this location for years. Quick and easy food to feed more than 3 people for dinner meals. But about 1 month ago, I use the drivethru for a quick lunch. I live in Pasadena but work in Alhambra. So got lunch then went to work. I ordered the new Nashville chicken, tastes great by the way. I changed the order up just a little. 3 piece Nashville meal, with potato wedges. The second meal just a regular grilled meal with a side and extra corn on the cob. When I got my bag, I saw 2 meal trays and 1 side tray. So, I just thought 2 trays equals 2 meals, the wedges in one box and the corn in the other. And the 1 side tray is the usual mash and gravy side. I didn't have time to check, since going to work, and how hard would it be to get 2 meals together. Big mistake. Get to work, and they had put just 1 piece of chicken in the one tray, and 2 in the other, getting me the 3 piece I ordered. But that was it! The side was the mash and gravy side, but that's it! No wedges and no corn! And no biscuits. So ofcourse I called them and told them the problem. NOW, HERE IS WHERE IT GETS WORSE FOR THESE MORONS. As I'm talking to them and telling them HOW THEY MESSED UP, someone in the background says, "Just hang up!" Now, the person I talked to said they were some type of manager and if I go back they will refund me the money. So after work I did. I took names over the phone and wrote them on the receipt. Honestly, if I didn't do that, and went back without them, I have a feeling they would have said I lied. But, I did talk to the same person when I went back and they did refund me some of the money. Only the price of the missing meal, BUT not for the extra wedges and corn, and taxes I paid for in the total. So I just got back $5.99. Ofcourse I wasn't expecting the whole amount to be paid back, but at this point I just didn't care anymore. And by coincidence, just last week, Business Insider wrote a whole column about the problems with KFC, "KFC is fixing a major mistake.." Here is just one quote from the article, "Effective immediately, if customers aren't satisfied with their KFC order, the restaurant will remake whatever aspect of their meal fell short. The chain has rolled out an extensive "chicken mastery certification" program, spending more than 100,000 hours retraining more than 20,000 employees." I suggest reading this whole article. I hope for the company that this new strategy works. Or, just go 1 block away to Popeyes, which I have been doing. Or, just get rid of the jerks at this location. read more

I have other things going on in my life and today was the day I had time to cash in my coupon. I should've listened to all the other complaints from fellow yelpers about their difficulties in redeeming the coupon. It's reasonably clean, the food actually comes out hot, and the people speak reasonably good English. And there's always at least several other people in here whenever I've come...I'm always a little nervous about a food place that NEVER has any customers in it... Not really a big 'fast food' person, but whenever I decide I need a fried chicken fix this is the one I come to. It's pretty small inside, not a lot of seating or parking, but if you're just going to take it to go it's just fine. read more

I was craving KFC and decided to pay this location a visit. Ordered the family meal, carry out... As we were eating, we came across many uncooked pieces that still had some blood in them.... at least, half of the bucket... we had to throw it away... as you walk in to the place, you could sense it, how dirty the place is... how unhealthy and unclean this location is... dirt is on the front door, trash can without lid, old furniture... employees not wearing gloves.... I just left this location as I've gone here before and as usual the customer service at this location is HORRIBLE especially when it's comes to this one particular person I remember a time when my fiancé and I went and this particular individual was working the drive thru and she told my fiancé how much the order was so he goes and gives her the money and she couldn't figure out how much charge to give back and my fiancé told her and she coughed up such a attitude and ever since every time my fiancé goes she refuses to take his order. And then today we went again and I went inside to place my order and I ended up having to wait 10 min before she acknowledged my presence and when she finally acknowledged I was waiting she made me wait another 5 min then she finally decided she'd take my order and while I was watching make other orders her attitude was that of a person who doesn't like her job. When she finally gave me my order again with such a major attitude I wanted to say something but instead I say this to the particular individual I may not know your name because you choose not to wear a name tag but if you don't like working with the public then this job isn't for you, it's nice when you acknowledge your customers but you don't. Management really needs to tell this individual how to deal with the public and check her attitude at home or outside cause her attitude makes me not want to deal with her when I go to this particular KFC read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. I've gone here off and on, though I really shouldn't be with all the calories, but that's beside the point. That drive thru staff? Omg! First, love some KFC. Each drive through experience gets worse. The last one, shes speaking a mile minute, sorry no disrespect, but cant understand a word shes saying with the accent, staff is very irritated with customers, she rushed through the order so fast, demanding the money, snatching it up, shoving the bag in your face, slamming the sliding glass window shut and never looking back, basically with body language " good ridden, beat it" my jaw dropped. These people rang up mac and cheese and corn. We said we didn't want that, we ordered green beans and mashed potatoes. She asked the other person and they claimed we got green beans and mashed potatoes and the receipt was just wrong. They totally LIED. I ordered two XXL grilled burritos at this drive-through, one chicken and one beef. Both were cold, neither was grilled and the type of burrito was incorrect. The multiplicity of error was only surpassed by the fact that they were almost completely devoid of meat-----all rice. I would not recommend going to this restaurant. read more

First Off, HUGE KFC fan. I can never get enough chicken breast and chicken legs. (original recipe of course). The only problem I have with this KFC in particular is the staff. I've been going here for years because I live close by. The staff is always changing, but the customer service seems to always be less than kind. I honestly do not expect much from a KFC worker, but I have been to other KFC's that had staff members with less attitude. Also, I always ask for the freshly made chicken, but they usually just say "it's fresh" every time. I doubt that's true. Also, they tend to get annoyed when you ask questions or want substitutions, and I think they over charge sometimes when you ask for changes (but I'm not 100% sure on that, because I'd rather not waste my time with them). Also, if you come within 30-45 mins of closing time, do not expect them to make fresh chicken. But as I said before, I don't expect much from a KFC worker except to take my order and give me the correct amount of change. Only reason I'm giving them two stars is because I'm been to KFC's that had a more welcoming environment. But even the best kfc I've ever been to would probably never get a 5 star rating from me. read more

One of my favorite places to eat at. Rather come to this KFC than the other 3 nearby it. Employees are friendly and the food is fresh. Sometimes they are busy during lunch hour so sometimes I do call in to place an order and they already have it made or prepped for me and I just go over the drive thru, let them know I'm picking it up, pay for it and drive out. Oh my God, I got their 8 piece family meal yesterday and the chicken is gross! Bad quality chicken, greasy. What happened to KFC? They used to be so darn good. To put things in perspective, Roscoes next door has FAR better fried chicken. Not even close. Better quality chicken you can tell. Very small parking structure, only has few table. I order Grill chicken and they gave me fried chicken. the chicken is not prepare fresh, is just using electric grill not gas frame grill that pollo loco use, is not like kfc chicken is cheaper than pollo loco, pollo loco win easily in grill chicken and has good salsa, the corn cob in kfc was very bad, is not grill just broil and is over broil cause the corn tastless, mash potato is decent. read more

AVOID THIS KFC. First and foremost, this is the only KFC I have ever been to, on more than several occasions, where it takes more than 15 minutes to get through the drive-thru. Every single person that works here is rude, slow, and stupid. Second, the food here always tastes undercooked and slimey. Other KFCs don't have this problem. This is so sad because I love KFC ....it was one of the first place I ate at when first arrived in the US. Back then they also gave out Jalapenos with your chicken and only had original.... Well, all the ones around me had closed down....not that the food got worse but for sure services or lack there of. This location has been the best for a good year or so and it finally joined the bad services. I have to wonder if the workers her actually understand anything...seriously......Like we always get a large meal of over 10 pieces. Like today, we got a 14 pcs order and ask 3 grilled and the rest original. We got 6 extra crispy and the rest original.....it's not the first time this has happened. I've been to several KFC locations, so this review isn't really specifically tailored to this particular location. KFC is pretty good in general. If you're craving extremely greasy food, that is. And it's definitely a common craving. It's fast, cheap, and easy. I don't think I've ever sat and ate at a KFC. I've always ordered it to go. I really like the crispy taste of the chicken. If you want, you can get it extra crispy. It's pretty ridiculously crispy and even more filling than the normal kind. For under $20, I got a 7-piece chicken meal, with 2 sides (corn on the cob and mashed potatoes) and 4 biscuits. The biscuits are really delicious and fresh. And their coleslaw is absolutely amazing! I give this place 3 stars simply because it's not a restaurant I would frequent often. It's one of those restaurants you just crave and go to once in a while, but definitely not every day, as it is the epitome of greasy food. read more

2014 YELP 365 CHALLENGE - 210/365 Well, what can you say about a place that looks, smells, and feels like its still 1995? This KFC needs a major upgrade. Their computers are still the old beige ones that have black screens and green font! WTF?! The lady was very nice and prices aren't too bad, but the drive thru situation is horrendous. Not ordering until you're at the window makes the entire drive thru process ridiculously long.... and I can't even see the menu when i'm ordering at the window. Although the parking is a bit limited and there's no drive-through, this is probably one of the nicer KFCs I've been to. It always seems pretty clean and the people working here seem generally friendly. KFC has the best cole slaw around. I don't like original recipe chicken, it's too salty for my taste.Crispy recipe is good. The crust stays with the chicken as you bite, it doesn't fall apart when you bite into it. If you don't like KFC, Roscoe's chicken and waffle is next door and Popeye's is across the street. read more

Finally I order but while I'm ordering she stops and gets the women who ordered before me's order, no problem. Hands her the order and says "oh by the way no biscuits right now , machines broken. My issue with KFC is there is no standard for pricing and menues. This resturant gives one less side then the one in Long beach. I have an issue with zeba who works there and must be the manager and also one other who have a hard time understanding spoken English. And American customs. I love KFC grilled chicken - unfortunately this KFC on Lake Ave in Pasadena never seems to have any available any time I have stopped in. I take the drive through and usually order 8 pieces but always seem to have to take some of the chicken fried as they don't have enough ready. They said to call ahead. Tonight I called ahead.
